:02:25. > :02:44.It seems like Brazil is ready. Everywhere you look there are flags
:02:45. > :02:49.draped outside peoples windows. People are honking their horns down
:02:50. > :02:52.the road close to the beach. It has not always been this easy in the
:02:53. > :03:01.build-up to the World Cup, as I have been finding out.
:03:02. > :03:08.They call Brazil the spiritual home of football. Although the game did
:03:09. > :03:14.not originate here, for these kids, there is no doubt the country is fit
:03:15. > :03:18.and ready for football 's greatest stage. I will remember it forever
:03:19. > :03:26.because it is the first World Cup I can be a part of. It is an
:03:27. > :03:33.opportunity for ten to 12-year-olds to watch the game in our country.
:03:34. > :03:37.There are streets like this everywhere. Flags draped outside
:03:38. > :03:42.peoples windowsills. Entire neighbourhoods decorated in the
:03:43. > :03:46.colours of Brazil. Looking around, it seems people are excited about
:03:47. > :03:53.the World Cup. Streets like this do not tell the full story. Last
:03:54. > :03:57.summer, more than a million people took to the streets to protest about
:03:58. > :04:01.the amounts of public money being spent on the tournament by the
:04:02. > :04:08.Government. It was the biggest demonstration in Brazil for 30
:04:09. > :04:12.years. This man was one of them. The problem is not the World Cup but the
:04:13. > :04:17.way it is organised, the way it is structured. The whole money that was
:04:18. > :04:23.put into the stadiums and everything, could have been invested
:04:24. > :04:31.in education or health. We have a lot of problems we could solve with
:04:32. > :04:37.this money. We are going to return to the streets and with other
:04:38. > :04:42.movements, we want to see a change. Last summer saw some of the biggest
:04:43. > :04:45.protests here in Rio for some time. While there is some genuine
:04:46. > :04:48.excitement about the competition, now the tournament has arrived, all
:04:49. > :04:55.eyes will be waiting to see how the rest of Brazil reacts to having the
:04:56. > :05:00.World Cup on home soil. We are still hanging out with Simon from Radio 1.
:05:01. > :05:08.Simon, do you think, once the book. , the protests will die down? Yellow
:05:09. > :05:15.matter it depends how Brazil gets on. -- it depends. If Brazil can win
:05:16. > :05:18.against Croatia tonight, the happiness will overtake that. If
:05:19. > :05:24.they do not, tensions could again rise. There are lots of riot police
:05:25. > :05:30.about. It depends on how Brazil perform. There are still those who
:05:31. > :05:34.will want the protests to continue. Brazil is a nation that not only
:05:35. > :05:44.wants to win but they expect to win this World Cup. You can see why they
:05:45. > :05:56.have won it five times before. We have two excited Brazilian fans in
:05:57. > :06:01.joining us. I am so excited. You are excited. You are both in your
:06:02. > :06:12.Brazilian tops. When Brazil take on Croatia, who do you think will win?
:06:13. > :06:18.Brazil. Brazil two, Croatia one. I think Brazil three and Croatia one.
:06:19. > :06:23.Who from the Brazilian team should we be looking out for? Neymar.
:06:24. > :06:31.Here's fast and a great dribbler. That is all from us here at Rio for
:06:32. > :06:33.now. We want to remind you why the Brazilians are so brilliant and
:06:34. > :06:34.remind everyone Brazilians are so brilliant and
:06:35. > :06:37.remind why most people believe this is the team that will pick up the
:06:38. > :06:46.World Cup for a record sixth time. Goodbye.
:06:47. > :06:55.Ronaldo in the middle. Ronaldo, he has got it. What a cracker! He
:06:56. > :07:01.scores. It is four. The ..where we take
:07:02. > :07:06.all the best bits of CBBC. We also sneak behind the scenes
:07:07. > :07:12.on your favourite shows. Plus you can get involved
:07:13. > :07:17.and tell us what makes you livid...
