:00:00. > :00:00.Hello, I'm Hayley with all the latest
:00:07. > :00:10.from around the world this morning, coming up in the next few minutes.
:00:11. > :00:13.The Dino-dynamic beast that lives on both sea and land.
:00:14. > :00:25.And the cute lions cubs make their first public appearance.
:00:26. > :00:28.Let's start with the very latest stop on Newsround's
:00:29. > :00:33.It's just six days until people there vote on whether the country
:00:34. > :00:36.should become independent from the rest of the UK.
:00:37. > :00:38.Ayshah has been there getting a sense of the mood,
:00:39. > :00:58.Hello, Hayley. Well, everyone in Scotland is talking about the future
:00:59. > :01:02.of their country, none more so than yesterday, when thousands of
:01:03. > :01:05.teenagers came to Glasgow to talk about some of the big questions that
:01:06. > :01:12.they had about Scottish independence. I spoke to people who
:01:13. > :01:16.wanted Scotland to be independent, as well as those who wanted it to
:01:17. > :01:24.remain part of the UK. The debate was a big deal, and all eyes were on
:01:25. > :01:28.some of the youngest voters. A quick selfie on a very long
:01:29. > :01:34.journey. These guys are travelling almost 200 miles to Glasgow. They,
:01:35. > :01:37.along with more than 7000 other teenagers, are taking part in a
:01:38. > :01:41.massive debate on the future of Scotland. The big question - whether
:01:42. > :01:46.Scotland should go independent or stay part of the UK. I think it will
:01:47. > :01:50.be a good experience, finding out what the country would be like if it
:01:51. > :01:57.went independent. I am currently undecided. I am pretty sure I will
:01:58. > :02:00.vote yes, but I can still change. This is where everyone is gathered,
:02:01. > :02:09.this massive arena in the city centre. Where are you from?
:02:10. > :02:14.Aberdeen. It took us three hours on the bus. This debate is a big deal
:02:15. > :02:18.for these 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds, who will be getting to
:02:19. > :02:30.vote for the first time. There is a bit of a party atmosphere. What are
:02:31. > :02:35.you voting? Yes. Why? I just think that we are able to cope and I do
:02:36. > :02:42.not see why we should stay somewhere where we are not happy. What about
:02:43. > :02:52.you? Definitely no. Because I just do not think it will work out. I am
:02:53. > :02:57.thinking, I am undecided. You can see how many kids are here. There
:02:58. > :03:04.are thousands. The last ones are piling in, taking their seats. Soon,
:03:05. > :03:09.it is down to the serious stuff. How would independence affect job
:03:10. > :03:12.opportunities? Why risk everything? It is not whether we should be
:03:13. > :03:17.risking it, it is whether we should settle for that. We will have
:03:18. > :03:23.challenges as a country, but we will have control of our own resources.
:03:24. > :03:25.We have huge control over health, education and everything, but we
:03:26. > :03:31.stand together with other people, too. So, did the debate to change
:03:32. > :03:38.anyone's mind? I am staying with yes. I am still a no vote. I was
:03:39. > :03:44.undecided but now I will be voting yes. I feel we would be better off
:03:45. > :03:48.by ourselves. The no dancers were much better thought out, so it made
:03:49. > :03:55.me more confident in my choice. I am sticking with no. I am still voting
:03:56. > :03:59.yes. Will you still be friends after this? I hope so! I think there will
:04:00. > :04:06.be some tension but we will work it out. Well, I hope they will still be
:04:07. > :04:09.friends, but there are a lot of tense conversations going on at the
:04:10. > :04:17.moment. Newsround will be on the road next week, visiting Stirling,
:04:18. > :04:22.Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Also, the big day is getting closer to it is
:04:23. > :04:24.next Thursday, 18th of September, and we will have all of the latest.
:04:25. > :04:26.Make sure you do not miss it. Next to South Africa, where
:04:27. > :04:29.in the next few hours, one of the world's most famous athletes will
:04:30. > :04:32.find out if he's going to jail. Millions of people around
:04:33. > :04:34.the world have been watching the He was accused
:04:35. > :04:39.of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in February last
:04:40. > :04:42.year but yesterday the judge decided The trial is not over though,
:04:43. > :04:49.because he could still be found guilty of doing it
:04:50. > :04:51.by accident today. And if that happens, he could
:04:52. > :04:54.go to prison for a long time. And remember, there's help
:04:55. > :04:57.and advice on the Newsround website In other news - scientists say
:04:58. > :05:04.a giant fossil found in the Sahara desert in Africa confirms that some
:05:05. > :05:06.dinosaurs could swim. The 95 million-year-old skeleton
:05:07. > :05:09.belonged to a dinosaur called Spinosaurus and scientists studying
:05:10. > :05:13.the ancient fossil believe it would have been happier splashing around
:05:14. > :05:16.in water than walking on land. Other ancient creatures did live
:05:17. > :05:21.in the water, but they were marine That makes Spinosaurus the
:05:22. > :05:30.only-known semi-aquatic dinosaur. Finally, the cutest little lion
:05:31. > :05:34.cubs you'll see this week. This was the scene
:05:35. > :05:38.at San Diego zoo in America when the four cubs were shown off to
:05:39. > :05:41.the public for the first time. To the delight of visitors, the cubs
:05:42. > :05:45.provided lots of photo opportunities The one male
:05:46. > :05:51.and two females were born in June. But this is the first time they have
:05:52. > :05:54.been allowed out of their den. Keepers tell them apart by shaving
:05:55. > :05:58.a small patern in their fur.
