:00:11. > :00:21.This is Newsrond. It's Friday, 12th October. Leah and

:00:21. > :00:26.

:00:26. > :00:30.Joe brining you some of this: Egypt Find out which Strictly star has

:00:31. > :00:40.already slipped up with an injury! And the technology allowing

:00:41. > :00:42.

:00:42. > :00:46.disabled kids to play games. First, should you be able to vote

:00:46. > :00:48.from the age of 16? At the moment you're kept out of the polling

:00:48. > :00:52.station until you hit your 18th birthday. But Scotland's government

:00:52. > :00:55.are about to change that. They're set to finalise plans to let 16 and

:00:55. > :01:05.17-year-olds have their say on whether Scotland should separate

:01:05. > :01:07.

:01:07. > :01:10.Turning 16 is a big deal. You can leave school. You can work full

:01:11. > :01:13.time and pay taxes. You can join the army. You can even get married!

:01:13. > :01:16.Yet, you still can't vote. On Monday the Prime Minister, David

:01:16. > :01:21.Cameron, and Alex Sammond, The Fist Minister of Scotland are due to

:01:21. > :01:25.sign an agreement that will let 16 and 17-year-olds in Scotland vote.

:01:25. > :01:29.Young adults will get the chance to take part in the vote on whether

:01:29. > :01:39.Scotland stays part of the UK. So why the change and what will this

:01:39. > :01:41.

:01:41. > :01:43.mean? We got the BBC's Scotland correspondent to tell us more.

:01:43. > :01:47.for the first time politicians are going to be directly targeting

:01:47. > :01:50.younger voters. They're wanting the vote of pupils who are as young as

:01:50. > :01:53.14 years old. So it's likely that in this campaign there will be more

:01:53. > :01:58.use of social media like Twitter and Facebook to persuade people one

:01:58. > :02:01.way or the other. Already some politicians in London are saying

:02:01. > :02:04.this will put pressure on other parts of the UK to lower the voting

:02:04. > :02:07.age and campaigners from the Scottish Youth Parliament here say

:02:07. > :02:13.that is what should happen that young people have a right to have a

:02:13. > :02:21.say in the important decisions of the future. So how do kids in

:02:21. > :02:26.England feel about these possible changes? Not all 16 year olds are

:02:26. > :02:31.very mature Coulstock I think we should wait until 18. I would want

:02:31. > :02:35.to vote when I looked high-school if I could. Six Dean is a bit young,

:02:35. > :02:39.you are still learning. Just because Scotland want to be a

:02:39. > :02:41.different country, does not mean we cannot vote as well. Lowering the

:02:41. > :02:47.voting age is something that campaigners have argued for, for

:02:47. > :02:51.years. We don't have a voice. People are speaking on RPE hoc.

:02:51. > :02:55.They are giving us what they think we want. Campaigning for the right

:02:55. > :02:58.to vote isn't a new thing. Women in Britain weren't allowed to vote

:02:58. > :03:02.until 1918, and then you still had to be over 30. Women had to wait

:03:02. > :03:05.another ten years to get equal voting rights to men. The plans are

:03:05. > :03:08.just for Scotland and only for one vote. But people are already

:03:08. > :03:11.calling for 16-year-olds all over the UK to get their say on future

:03:11. > :03:15.vote too. Wayne Rooney has said he'll keep

:03:15. > :03:18.his cool on the pitch tonight as he captains England in their World Cup

:03:18. > :03:21.qualifying match. He's said he's matured as a player

:03:21. > :03:25.and wants the team to make the headlines for the right reasons.

:03:25. > :03:27.The side will be facing San Marino who are the world's worst ranked

:03:27. > :03:30.team! Wales are also in action against Scotland.

:03:30. > :03:33.Talking of Wayne, he won the BBC's Young Sports Personality Award ten

:03:33. > :03:36.years ago. Since then the likes of Ellie Simmonds and Tom Daley have

:03:36. > :03:45.been crowned winners! The award is for outstanding sports

:03:45. > :03:48.personalities under 16. Nominations are open to public so head to the

:03:48. > :03:50.Newsround website and tell us who you think deserves the award this

:03:50. > :03:52.year. Next to Egypt. A campaign is

:03:52. > :03:55.underway to boost tourism after pictures of protests were beamed

:03:55. > :03:58.all around the world during the Egyptian revolution. The country

:03:58. > :04:03.has always been a popular holiday destination but protests and scenes

:04:03. > :04:06.of violence against the government in 2011 put off a lot of travellers.

:04:06. > :04:10.Now they plan to win holiday makers back. Ricky's got more.

:04:10. > :04:15.Fancy a holiday to Egypt? You might expect some of this. Sun, sea, sand

:04:15. > :04:20.and of course, the Pyramids. But what about this?! And that's the

:04:20. > :04:24.problem. Every year Egypt's ancient monuments pull in loads of tourists.

:04:24. > :04:28.But 2011 changed that. Millions of Egyptians hit the streets to

:04:28. > :04:33.protest. They were fed up of being treated unfairly by the government

:04:33. > :04:35.and had one demand. For President, Hosni Mubarak, to stand down.

:04:35. > :04:40.Eventually he did but not before violence erupted between his

:04:40. > :04:42.supporters and those who wanted him out. Night-after-night news reports

:04:42. > :04:48.screened pictures of huge demonstrations in the country's

:04:48. > :04:52.capital, Cairo. That's put some holiday makers off, with numbers

:04:52. > :04:56.down this year. It's bad news for those who depend on money from

:04:56. > :04:59.tourists at places like the pyramids. To try and attract

:04:59. > :05:03.holiday-makers ministers have opened up one of the pyramids along

:05:03. > :05:13.with six newly-restored ancient tombs. Officials say the country is

:05:13. > :05:16.now a safe place to visit. Egypt is safe and secure and ready to

:05:16. > :05:18.receive any visitors who might come here. A year on from Egypt's

:05:18. > :05:21.revolution, tourists are slowly returning. There are reports of

:05:21. > :05:24.smaller protests breaking out against the new government. But

:05:24. > :05:34.those who depend on money from tourism will be hoping that this is

:05:34. > :05:39.

:05:39. > :05:48.the Egypt we remember. Denise Van Outen's performance on

:05:48. > :05:50.Strictly Come Dancing is touch and Yes, she picked up an injury

:05:50. > :05:52.Coulstock The computer games industry is

:05:52. > :05:55.changing to make gaming more accessible to kids with

:05:55. > :05:58.disabilities. Charities say the big names in games are recognising not

:05:58. > :06:01.all players are the same and are helping to develop new ways to

:06:01. > :06:03.bring top titles to more living rooms. And as I've been finding out,

:06:03. > :06:09.some of the new technology is pretty impressive.

:06:09. > :06:14.Computer games. Fast and bond but everyone, right? Maybe not. The

:06:14. > :06:17.majority of are too fast, too fiddly and too difficult for people

:06:17. > :06:22.with disabilities to play. But thanks to the latest technology,

:06:23. > :06:27.these guys can use it. Chloe struggles with her balance, but at

:06:27. > :06:33.this charity it does not stop there. She has been working with gaming

:06:33. > :06:39.companies to make sure they produce the latest releases. This game is

:06:39. > :06:44.perfect because he is controlling the car with her eyes. It does not

:06:44. > :06:48.stop there. By altering computer software and controls, charities

:06:48. > :06:51.like this one make it possible to play with your feet and your chin.

:06:51. > :06:56.Gavin and his team say it is important for every child to play

:06:56. > :07:02.computer games, to make friends and improve co-ordination. And the

:07:02. > :07:10.industry is starting to listen. Everybody we speak to a quite

:07:10. > :07:16.receptive. We make some suggestions, and generally they take them on

:07:16. > :07:20.board. So the industry as a whole is friendly and we will get there.

:07:20. > :07:24.Rees is football-mad and until recently his arable Polzeath

:07:24. > :07:29.prevented him from playing football games with his dad. But not any

:07:29. > :07:35.more. I will get him back in a minute. Do you think they are doing

:07:35. > :07:41.in a? It is always saying more could be done, but it is getting

:07:41. > :07:47.better. He gets a lot of enjoyment out of it. It wouldn't happen if he

:07:47. > :07:50.did not have this. Charities like there's no that making a top name

:07:50. > :07:56.titles for every one costs money, but it looks like things could be

:07:56. > :08:02.moving in the right direction. That game was so much done because

:08:02. > :08:05.you are controlling it with your eyes. People are chatting to you...

:08:05. > :08:13.The oldest roller coaster in the UK could be lost forever if action

:08:13. > :08:17.isn't taken soon, according to the English Heritage.

:08:17. > :08:21.The dream Lhanbryde was built in 1919 but was damaged by fire a few

:08:21. > :08:29.years ago. The organisation who look out for important old sites in

:08:29. > :08:33.the UK say it's just one of nearly 6,000 historic buildings. Just time

:08:33. > :08:36.to tell you about this guy, Patrick the lobster. He was saved from the

:08:36. > :08:39.cooking pot by a fish merchant. He's nearly a metre long and

:08:39. > :08:41.experts reckon he could be 50 years old! He's been donated to Bristol

:08:41. > :08:43.Aquarium! And just before we go, have you

:08:43. > :08:46.heard about the prank that JLS pulled on Olly Murs?

:08:46. > :08:52.Yeah, it was a cracker! Tomorrow we'll have Olly Murs on Newsround

:08:52. > :08:57.at 11:55 but here's a sneak peak. It was horrible, my heart fell out
