0:00:04 > 0:00:06Hey everyone, Leah here with today's afternoon

0:00:06 > 0:00:07edition of Newsround.

0:00:07 > 0:00:08Coming up...

0:00:08 > 0:00:11Will Young quits Strictly.

0:00:11 > 0:00:15And, how computer games are bringing Max and his friends together.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27First, we've heard from some of you that you're worried

0:00:27 > 0:00:30about people dressing as clowns to deliberately try

0:00:30 > 0:00:33and frighten others.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36There are lots of rumours going around at the moment,

0:00:36 > 0:00:39but the police say anyone doing this will get into big trouble.

0:00:39 > 0:00:41We spoke to kids at one school about what they think.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47Recently it's been blown up to be this massive thing.

0:00:47 > 0:00:48And people think they're everywhere.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51Even though they're not.

0:00:51 > 0:00:55So my friends have been saying, like, these clowns are coming to get

0:00:55 > 0:00:57you, be scared.

0:00:57 > 0:01:02I've heard many rumours.

0:01:02 > 0:01:08Mostly spread from social media, but I've heard that apparently

0:01:08 > 0:01:10they're going to come on Thursday, they're going to other schools

0:01:10 > 0:01:11around the area.

0:01:11 > 0:01:14Well, it's kind of like a trend in stuff like videos.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17The way I found out about this was because I saw it on YouTube.

0:01:17 > 0:01:21As soon as you watch one of these videos, it fills up your whole

0:01:21 > 0:01:25recommended bar down the side of YouTube.

0:01:25 > 0:01:29Even some of the YouTubers that I like are now doing it,

0:01:29 > 0:01:32so I can't, like, escape them that way and stuff.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35I have seen recommended creepy clown videos, but I've never watched them

0:01:35 > 0:01:39because I don't see why should scare myself.

0:01:39 > 0:01:42They are complete fakes, frauds, they're not going to do anything.

0:01:42 > 0:01:48And they're not going to hurt you.

0:01:48 > 0:01:53Well, it's just pranks, people are trying to scare people,

0:01:53 > 0:01:57but they're not going to harm you or do anything to you.

0:01:57 > 0:02:00If you do see one, which is fairly unlikely, there is nothing

0:02:00 > 0:02:03to be afraid of.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05You shouldn't worry, it's not a problem, it's mostly just

0:02:05 > 0:02:08social media rumours, really.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10If you are worried at all about people dressed as clowns,

0:02:10 > 0:02:13then make sure you speak to an adult about it.

0:02:13 > 0:02:17And if you are upset by the news, there's loads of advice over

0:02:17 > 0:02:20at Newsround online.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Will Young has quit Strictly Come Dancing.

0:02:23 > 0:02:24He says it's due to personal reasons.

0:02:24 > 0:02:27Adding that he loved taking part in the show and leaves

0:02:27 > 0:02:28with joy in his heart.

0:02:28 > 0:02:32His dance partner Karen Clifton said she was sad but wished him well.

0:02:32 > 0:02:34The BBC says it respects his decision, and despite him leaving

0:02:34 > 0:02:40there will still be an elimination this weekend.

0:02:41 > 0:02:45Next, Cerebral Palsy is a disorder that affects many different kids

0:02:45 > 0:02:46in many different ways.

0:02:46 > 0:02:4912-year-old Max, who lives in Australia, is one of them -

0:02:49 > 0:02:52but thanks to some special technology, he and his classmates

0:02:52 > 0:02:55have found new ways of communicating together.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00Meet Max - he loves school and hanging out with his mates.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03Max has trouble speaking because he has cerebral palsy,

0:03:03 > 0:03:06a condition that means his brain has trouble communicating

0:03:06 > 0:03:08with his muscles.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10Where is Mr Jessett?

0:03:10 > 0:03:13But recently, a piece of technology called Compass has meant that Max

0:03:13 > 0:03:18can now communicate by himself.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22Compass is great and I can communicate independently.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25What's more, it's helped him get closer to his classmates

0:03:25 > 0:03:29because they've been able to make games that he can play on it.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31That's it, where the red dot is, well done.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34Our teacher said that we should make a game for Max and it

0:03:34 > 0:03:36just went from there.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39We all thought about ideas and I went with the maze.

0:03:39 > 0:03:44One of my other friends went with a car racing game.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47They use coding and programmes like this to create all

0:03:47 > 0:03:50the different parts of the game.

0:03:50 > 0:03:57This game, he smiles a lot when he plays them because he really

0:03:57 > 0:04:00enjoys being able to play games with eye gaze rather than just

0:04:00 > 0:04:02watching someone else play them.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05OK, Max, the point of this game is to help you strengthen your eye

0:04:05 > 0:04:07gaze for getting round the track.

0:04:07 > 0:04:10Thanks to the games, Max has come away with new friends.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12When I first met Max, I didn't really know how

0:04:12 > 0:04:15to interact with him, but then when I started making this,

0:04:15 > 0:04:17I started interacting a lot more with him.

0:04:17 > 0:04:19Me and Max have a good friendship now.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22They also entered the games they designed into a technology

0:04:22 > 0:04:27competition and came a brilliant second place.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30They say they're just glad Max has a new way to have fun

0:04:30 > 0:04:32with his friends.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36Before I go, there's just enough time to tell you that astronaut

0:04:36 > 0:04:41Tim Peake is coming into Newsround HQ this Saturday!

0:04:41 > 0:04:43We want your questions for him.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46If you've ever wondered what it's like to be astronaut or how

0:04:46 > 0:04:51to get his amazing job, then let us know.

0:04:52 > 0:04:53That's all from me.

0:04:53 > 0:04:55Newsround's back tomorrow morning at 7:40am.

0:04:55 > 0:04:56Have a great afternoon.

0:04:56 > 0:05:00Bye-bye.
