0:02:55 > 0:02:59Well, we went to find out.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00Hi, Newsround, welcome to the factory where

0:03:00 > 0:03:04it is Christmas every day.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06This is Festive Productions, the biggest tinsel factory in the

0:03:06 > 0:03:10UK.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13We make 12 million metres of tinsel every single year.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16That is enough to wrap all the way around

0:03:16 > 0:03:19the moon and you'll still have two million metres leftover.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21Phew.

0:03:21 > 0:03:22Right, let's see how tinsel is made.

0:03:22 > 0:03:28First off, let's choose the colours.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30Let's make some Newsround-coloured

0:03:30 > 0:03:38tinsel. Next, we load the machines with the reels, and switch it on.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47The machine cuts the foil up to make it nice and frilly.

0:03:47 > 0:03:56Then, we add some wire to make it stronger.

0:03:56 > 0:04:02That happens down in there.

0:04:02 > 0:04:04Finally, it goes down to the tub where it's all

0:04:04 > 0:04:07spun together like a candy floss machine.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09The machine stops, and your tinsel is ready.

0:04:09 > 0:04:16Here it is.

0:04:16 > 0:04:21Newsround tinsel.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29Now, you might remember, yesterday you were sending in your brilliant

0:04:29 > 0:04:30snow pictures.

0:04:30 > 0:04:31But check this one out.

0:04:31 > 0:04:36Why build a snowman when an igloo is so much better?

0:04:36 > 0:04:38It took Benjamin Crutch from Redditch eight hours to make

0:04:38 > 0:04:43the igloo, using 500 snow bricks.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46He built it in the garden, and it looks like everybody

0:04:46 > 0:04:47enjoyed it - even the dog.

0:04:47 > 0:04:48That's it from me.

0:04:48 > 0:04:50Newsround's back in about half-an-hour
