:00:00. > :00:09.Hi, I'm Ricky with your very last Newsround of the day. Here's what

:00:10. > :00:13.we've got coming up. The plane that landed at the wrong airport, and how

:00:14. > :00:19.it wasn't all glamour at the Golden Globe awards.

:00:20. > :00:25.First tonight. We're talking about text messaging. The number of SMS

:00:26. > :00:29.text messages sent in Britain fell for the first time last year. More

:00:30. > :00:33.people are using instant messaging apps like Snapchat. The research

:00:34. > :00:36.carried out by Deloitte - a group that monitors the latest trends -

:00:37. > :00:38.suggests we sent 160 billion instant messages in 2013 compared to 145

:00:39. > :00:47.billion old-school texts. They reckon messaging apps - which

:00:48. > :00:51.are usually free - will carry more than twice the number of messages

:00:52. > :00:59.sent by text this year. All today you've been telling us how you

:01:00. > :01:02.communicate. Jessica prefers to use WhatsApp to chat to her cousin

:01:03. > :01:06.because it doesn't affect the signal. Lola says, "I always message

:01:07. > :01:09.my friends by text, no matter what. I don't use instant messaging at

:01:10. > :01:13.all." Beth says, "I text my friends and we also use Snapchat to talk to

:01:14. > :01:21.each other. I don't send IMs." Next, to the aeroplane that landed at the

:01:22. > :01:24.wrong airport. The plane, carrying 124 passengers, should have landed

:01:25. > :01:27.at Brandson Airport in the state of Missouri in America. Instead, it

:01:28. > :01:33.turned up seven miles away at a different one where the runway was

:01:34. > :01:40.half as long. An investigation is under way to work out why the

:01:41. > :01:44.mistake happened. We were pretty close to the seats as we were

:01:45. > :01:49.landing. The runway was too short. Then they came on and said we had

:01:50. > :01:52.landed at the wrong runway. Some entertainment news all the way from

:01:53. > :01:56.America now and some of the biggest stars on the planet - including

:01:57. > :01:59.Taylor Swift - flocked to the red carpet in LA last night for the

:02:00. > :02:03.Golden Globes. The ceremony didn't get off to the best of starts though

:02:04. > :02:07.- just hours before, a water leak flooded the red carpet and staff had

:02:08. > :02:10.to mop up the puddle. Once that was sorted Disney's Frozen won the best

:02:11. > :02:17.animation, beating Despicable Me two, and 3D space thriller Gravity

:02:18. > :02:20.won best director. Can you tell the difference between the chirps and

:02:21. > :02:23.tweets of a robin and a bluetit? No? Well, you're not alone. BBC

:02:24. > :02:26.Gardeners' World asked more than 1,000 to identify five different

:02:27. > :02:30.types of garden birds by their song. Not many were successful. Only 11%

:02:31. > :02:33.of them could identify the call of a blue tit, a quarter managed to

:02:34. > :02:37.recognise a robin's song and 30% correctly guessed the song of a

:02:38. > :02:40.house sparrow. Blackbird song was recognised by less than a third. The

:02:41. > :02:50.only bird whose song was identified by more than half was the wood

:02:51. > :02:53.pigeon. And if you fancy seeing how well you would do, head over to the

:02:54. > :02:58.Newsround website where you can take the birdsong quiz, and check out the

:02:59. > :03:00.amazing close up insect gallerywhile you're there. That's all from me.
