:00:00. > :00:08.Morning, Leah here with Thursday's top stories. Coming up. Did

:00:09. > :00:15.Manchester City do enough to beat Barcelona? Keep watching. And keep

:00:16. > :00:29.watching for the rare Tigers cubs. Only on Newsround.

:00:30. > :00:32.First to Sochi, and to a nail biting finish in the curling where

:00:33. > :00:35.Britain's wheelchair team have pulled off a remarkable comeback

:00:36. > :00:38.against the US. Aileen Neilson's team found themselves 5-1 down after

:00:39. > :00:43.five ends. But they stormed back to level the game. Next up for Great

:00:44. > :00:47.Britain is China who they play at 11:30 this morning. Next, tens of

:00:48. > :00:50.thousands of budding scientists, engineers and space lovers will head

:00:51. > :00:53.to the NEC in Birmingham over the next few days for the largest

:00:54. > :00:56.celebration of science and technology for children in the UK.

:00:57. > :00:59.The Big Bang Fair is all about encouraging more kids to work in

:01:00. > :01:09.these fields and inspire perhaps the next Professor Brian Cox or Tim

:01:10. > :01:15.Peake. Martin is there for us now. This fair is a massive celebration

:01:16. > :01:22.of science, technology, engineering and maths. There will be some very

:01:23. > :01:28.excited schoolkids coming through here to see what they can expect in

:01:29. > :01:36.the future. We have some budding scientists here. This looks amazing.

:01:37. > :01:43.Where welding the edges of chocolate and sticking it together to create

:01:44. > :01:52.this shape. We can create a box and it is really strong. What do you

:01:53. > :01:57.love about science? You can really get stuck in and make your own

:01:58. > :02:09.stuff. It is fun and interesting to see how things work. Where are those

:02:10. > :02:12.robots? Hope you find them. Now if you've ever been told to tuck your

:02:13. > :02:16.school shirts in and straighten up your ties every now and again are

:02:17. > :02:20.your teachers any better when it comes to how smart they dress? Well,

:02:21. > :02:22.some staff at a London school have been criticised by education

:02:23. > :02:25.inspectors for being too casual. They're worried adults may be

:02:26. > :02:29.setting a bad example to pupils by wearing casual clothes in lessons.

:02:30. > :02:33.We want to hear from you. How smart do your teachers dress? Do you think

:02:34. > :02:37.it matters what they wear? Head over to the website and tell us what you

:02:38. > :02:40.think. All week on Newsround we've been showing you the ground breaking

:02:41. > :02:43.technology behind the next wave of robots. Well now, researchers are

:02:44. > :02:46.developing machines based on some of the smallest and fastest creatures

:02:47. > :02:49.on planet earth. Ricky went to meet the scientists who are creating

:02:50. > :03:01.robots by looking very closely at these.. Ants!

:03:02. > :03:07.We have entered this new and exciting phase in robotics where

:03:08. > :03:17.technology is taking inspiration from the nature around us and as

:03:18. > :03:24.humans as well. We are trying to make robots that will make in --

:03:25. > :03:28.will work in the real world which is an untidy place. The world is full

:03:29. > :03:33.of amazing creatures who get on perfectly well in the real world.

:03:34. > :03:40.They provide us with inspiration and also fantastic design. Tell us about

:03:41. > :03:46.the swarm and how those robots operate. It is meant to operate like

:03:47. > :03:55.a colony of ants. To model the way that they forage for food. Some

:03:56. > :03:59.scientists argue there's not much point in basing a robot on a human

:04:00. > :04:02.being because we are too complex. So they turned their attention to

:04:03. > :04:12.robots inspired by biology. Things like the grasshopper or even the

:04:13. > :04:15.flea. Plenty of people are still interested in robots that look and

:04:16. > :04:20.behave like people but many of us realise that most robots we really

:04:21. > :04:28.need in the real world do not need to look like people.

:04:29. > :04:31.Football now and Manchester City couldn't quite stop the mighty force

:04:32. > :04:35.of Barcelona. They're out of the Champions League after a 2-1 defeat

:04:36. > :04:37.last night - 4-1 overall. Lionel Messi and Dani Alves scoring for

:04:38. > :04:41.Barcleona. Vincent Kompany scoring the only goal of the game for City!

:04:42. > :04:45.Finally the three rare tiger cubs that were born at London Zoo. This

:04:46. > :04:48.Sumatran tigress gave birth to the triplets last month and keepers are

:04:49. > :04:51.now confident the cubs are healthy, so have released these images of

:04:52. > :04:54.them, filmed by a hidden camera. The Sumatran tiger is listed as

:04:55. > :04:57.critically endangered, and there's only about 300 in existence. That's

:04:58. > :05:01.all from me, Newsround's back this afternoon.
