:00:00. > :00:08.You're live with Newsround on CBBC. I'm Leah, it's Thursday morning.

:00:09. > :00:15.Coming up. We meet the robots inspired by animals.

:00:16. > :00:24.And did Manchester City do enough to beat Barcelona? Keep watching.

:00:25. > :00:27.First to Sochi, where Britain's wheelchair curlers are currently on

:00:28. > :00:32.the ice facing the US. Aileen Neilson's team are currently down by

:00:33. > :00:36.6-2. They didn't get off to a good start and were found themselves 5-1

:00:37. > :00:41.down after five ends but their game play has improved. It's a busy day

:00:42. > :00:55.for the curlers with Great Britain also facing China later on today.

:00:56. > :00:59.Next conservation charities say that Fracking has the potential to

:01:00. > :01:07.devastate wildlife habitats across the country. The study is the first

:01:08. > :01:10.UK-wide report into the environmental costs of fracking, but

:01:11. > :01:12.the industry says that current regulations are strict enough to

:01:13. > :01:17.protect wildlife. Next up, I bet some of you guys have

:01:18. > :01:21.been told to tuck your school shirts in and straighten up your ties every

:01:22. > :01:24.now and again. But are your teachers any better when it comes to how

:01:25. > :01:27.smart they dress? Well, some staff at a London school have been

:01:28. > :01:30.criticised by education inspectors for being too casual. They're

:01:31. > :01:34.worried adults may be setting a bad example to pupils by wearing casual

:01:35. > :01:37.clothes in lessons. We want to hear from you. How smart do your teachers

:01:38. > :01:42.dress? Do you think it matters what they wear? Head over to the website

:01:43. > :01:45.and tell us what you think. All week on Newsround we've been

:01:46. > :01:48.showing you the ground breaking technology behind the next wave of

:01:49. > :01:51.robots. Well now, researchers are developing machines based on some of

:01:52. > :01:55.the smallest and fastest creatures on planet earth. Ricky went to meet

:01:56. > :01:57.the scientists who are creating robots by looking very closely at

:01:58. > :02:17.these. Ants! We have entered this exciting phase

:02:18. > :02:27.in robotics where the technology is taking inspiration from nature. And

:02:28. > :02:34.from humans. We are trying to make robots that will work in the real

:02:35. > :02:39.world. Which is an untidy place. The world is full of amazing creatures

:02:40. > :02:46.who get on perfectly well in the real world. They provide us with

:02:47. > :02:55.inspiration and fantastic design. Tell us about the swarm and how

:02:56. > :03:02.those robots operate. It is meant to behave like a colony of ants. The

:03:03. > :03:09.way that they forage for food. Some scientists argue there's not much

:03:10. > :03:12.point in basing a robot on human because we are too complex. So they

:03:13. > :03:20.turned their attention to robots inspired by biology. Things like a

:03:21. > :03:24.grasshopper or even a flea. There are plenty of people still

:03:25. > :03:30.interested in robots that look and behave like people at many of us

:03:31. > :03:35.realise most robots we need in the real world do not want to look like

:03:36. > :03:39.people. Head over to the website to see our

:03:40. > :03:42.amazing gallery of robots that have been inspired by our furry friends.

:03:43. > :03:45.And while you're there check out the gallery of your techno-tastic robot

:03:46. > :03:49.designs you've been sending us in all week.

:03:50. > :03:53.Sport now and I think this says it all. Manchester City couldn't quite

:03:54. > :03:56.stop the mighty force of Barcelona. They're out of the Champions League

:03:57. > :03:59.after a 2-1 defeat last night - 4-1 overall. Lionel Messi and Dani Alves

:04:00. > :04:03.scoring for Barcleona. Vincent Kompany scoring the only goal of the

:04:04. > :04:07.game for City over two ties! Loving the Alves celebration there. There's

:04:08. > :04:10.no better news for Andy Murray fan either this morning because

:04:11. > :04:13.Britain's number one is out of the Indian Wells tennis tournament in

:04:14. > :04:18.Paris. Andy was beaten in three sets by Canadian Milos Raonic. Victory

:04:19. > :04:25.was completed in a little over two hours. Murray's next tournament

:04:26. > :04:28.starts in Miami on 17 March. And there's always time for some

:04:29. > :04:32.pictures of rare tiger cubs - these three were born at London Zoo. This

:04:33. > :04:35.Sumatran tigress gave birth to the triplets last month and keepers are

:04:36. > :04:38.now confident the cubs are healthy, so have released these images of

:04:39. > :04:41.them, filmed by a hidden camera. The Sumatran tiger is listed as

:04:42. > :04:49.critically endangered, and there's only about 300 in existence.

:04:50. > :04:52.Join me at 08.15 when Martin will be reporting from The Big Bang Fair in

:04:53. > :04:58.Birmingham, the largest celebration of science and tech for in children

:04:59. > :05:00.in the UK. See you then. Goodbye.
