0:00:04 > 0:00:08Hi, I'm Hayley, coming up on Newsround:
0:00:08 > 0:00:12A spy mystery involving Russia and the UK.
0:00:12 > 0:00:14A Chinese clay army on display in Liverpool
0:00:14 > 0:00:20And...
0:00:20 > 0:00:28The hostel where you can pretend to be an astronaut!
0:00:37 > 0:00:39Officials in Russia are being asked to explain what they know
0:00:39 > 0:00:42about happened to a former spy who's been hurt here in the UK.
0:00:42 > 0:00:44Ayshah has more on this.
0:00:44 > 0:00:46This is Sergei Skripal, he's from Russia and was jailed
0:00:46 > 0:00:49there more than ten years ago for being a spy,
0:00:49 > 0:00:55but he was released and now lives here in the UK in Salisbury.
0:00:55 > 0:01:03Just over a week ago, he was found on a bench
0:01:03 > 0:01:06in the city centre along with his 33-year-old daughter Yulia.
0:01:06 > 0:01:07They were both very poorly.
0:01:07 > 0:01:08It's thought they'd been poisoned deliberately.
0:01:08 > 0:01:11It's also thought a policeman was affected by the poison
0:01:11 > 0:01:13after going to help find out what happened.
0:01:13 > 0:01:16He's in hospital too.
0:01:16 > 0:01:18Skripal spied on Russia, where he's from, for Great Britain
0:01:18 > 0:01:22and that's why many people think he's been hurt.
0:01:22 > 0:01:24The British Prime Minister says the poison used
0:01:24 > 0:01:26to attack him was made in Russia.
0:01:26 > 0:01:30The Government has concluded that it is highly likely that Russia
0:01:30 > 0:01:36was responsible for the act against Sergei and Yulia Skripal.
0:01:36 > 0:01:38But a member of the Russian government says that's rubbish.
0:01:38 > 0:01:40Theresa May says Russia has until midnight to explain
0:01:40 > 0:01:45properly what happened.
0:01:45 > 0:01:49Skripal and his daughter had been to a restaurant in a pub that day.
0:01:49 > 0:01:52People who'd also been there have been told to wash the clothes
0:01:52 > 0:01:55they were wearing and any items they had with them.
0:01:55 > 0:01:59Health experts say the risk to the public is low though.
0:01:59 > 0:02:01Emergency services and army experts are investigating and helping
0:02:01 > 0:02:08to keep people safe.
0:02:08 > 0:02:10OK history fans, stick around for this,
0:02:10 > 0:02:17we're heading to Liverpool to see an ancient underground army
0:02:17 > 0:02:19that's been kept hidden for thousands of years.
0:02:19 > 0:02:20Martin s got this.
0:02:20 > 0:02:22This is the Terracotta Army.
0:02:22 > 0:02:27It was buried deep underground secretly guarding the tomb
0:02:27 > 0:02:31of China's first Emperor for more than 2,000 years,
0:02:31 > 0:02:37until it was discovered by accident as farmers dug the land.
0:02:37 > 0:02:39The tomb belonged to Emperior Qin Shi Huang,
0:02:39 > 0:02:42the founder of the Chinese empire, who had many enemies.
0:02:42 > 0:02:44He believed that these full-size clay soldiers would protect him
0:02:44 > 0:02:47in the next life after he died.
0:02:47 > 0:02:50Now, they've been carefully brought back to the surface and repaired
0:02:50 > 0:02:53for everyone to see.
0:02:53 > 0:02:57But you don't have to go all the way to China to see them,
0:02:57 > 0:02:59some of them are right here in Liverpool.
0:02:59 > 0:03:01So these kids have been to check them out.
0:03:01 > 0:03:04How long did it take to make the terracotta warriors?
0:03:04 > 0:03:12We don't know exactly how long it took
0:03:13 > 0:03:15to make one warrior but, as you can see,
0:03:15 > 0:03:17they are so detailed and elaborate, I imagine
0:03:17 > 0:03:20it would have taken quite some time to make each one.
0:03:20 > 0:03:22Each part of the body was made separately,
0:03:22 > 0:03:25so the legs and feet were made, and they were solid clay.
0:03:25 > 0:03:28Because they're so heavy, the base of them had to be quite steady.
0:03:28 > 0:03:29Who were the strongest warriors?
0:03:29 > 0:03:32The warriors are all soldiers who were ready to fight in battle,
0:03:32 > 0:03:34but in another pit nearby were figures that the emperor had
0:03:34 > 0:03:37made to entertain him in the afterlife, and in that pit
0:03:37 > 0:03:39were acrobats and strongmen, and the strongmen figures
0:03:39 > 0:03:41had really big muscles, so I imagine they were
0:03:41 > 0:03:43meant to be very strong.
0:03:43 > 0:03:45So, what do they make of the army?
0:03:45 > 0:03:48I'm so amazed how big the terracotta warriors are.
0:03:48 > 0:03:50I like how they look and they've got armour on,
0:03:50 > 0:03:53they look really detailed.
0:03:53 > 0:03:56When I imagined what they would look like, I wasn't expecting them
0:03:56 > 0:03:58to be a really big size.
0:03:58 > 0:04:00I think it's actually really impressive that they came from China
0:04:00 > 0:04:03all the way to Liverpool and that they're still in really
0:04:03 > 0:04:11good shape and condition.
0:04:11 > 0:04:13Thanks, guys.
0:04:13 > 0:04:16And if you've ever wanted to experience staying in space
0:04:16 > 0:04:18but don't fancy the long rocket flight, then check out
0:04:18 > 0:04:19the 'Subspace' hostel in Croatia.
0:04:19 > 0:04:22Croatia's first space capsule hotel has just won an award for the best
0:04:22 > 0:04:23hostel in Eastern Europe.
0:04:23 > 0:04:25Guests get to feel like they're on board a spaceship
0:04:25 > 0:04:28with all the gadgets and gizmos and of course the
0:04:28 > 0:04:30cramped living space.
0:04:30 > 0:04:33The tiny bedrooms are called capsules, they're only two metres
0:04:33 > 0:04:35long and are 1.2 metres wide and high.
0:04:35 > 0:04:37That's about the size of your school desk,
0:04:37 > 0:04:40but they manage to squeeze in a bed, a monitor, a safe
0:04:40 > 0:04:48and a mirror there.
0:04:52 > 0:04:54There's no windows or natural light, but you can see the stars
0:04:54 > 0:04:56and planets painted on your ceiling.
0:04:56 > 0:04:59So you can imagine you're flying through space when in fact you've
0:04:59 > 0:05:01not moved and cannot move further than a few steps.
