0:00:14 > 0:00:17We're talking about Team GB's mega medal haul at the Invictus Games.

0:00:17 > 0:00:19Ayshah's on patrol using tech that's helping protect

0:00:19 > 0:00:19animals from poachers.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22And because it's Friday we'll have some goats cheering up residents

0:00:22 > 0:00:25at an old peoples' home.

0:00:34 > 0:00:38So, first, all week we've been telling you about the huge problem

0:00:38 > 0:00:40of poaching in South Africa here on Newsround.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42Poachers illegally hunt rhino and elephant to sell their tusks

0:00:42 > 0:00:45and horns, but some groups are using technology to fight back.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48Ayshah went to a reserve to see how head ranger LB and his team

0:00:48 > 0:00:53are protecting the wildlife there.

0:00:54 > 0:00:57I'm heading out on an anti-poaching patrol.

0:00:57 > 0:01:01It's something that happens every night here on this reserve.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06Animals are most at risk when it's dark because it makes it harder for

0:01:06 > 0:01:07poachers to be seen.

0:01:08 > 0:01:09I am a little bit nervous.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12I've never done anything like this before.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15It is pitch black dark, but LB and the

0:01:15 > 0:01:19team will be there.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21They are so experienced and we can do everything

0:01:21 > 0:01:27they say and stay right near the vehicle.

0:01:27 > 0:01:31Because this is dangerous work, and we have a lot of ground to

0:01:31 > 0:01:33cover, we are heading out in a jeep which has

0:01:33 > 0:01:35high-powered lights to help us find our way.

0:01:35 > 0:01:39But before we go, I'm being fitted with special

0:01:39 > 0:01:42kit so our location can be trackedand my heart rate monitored.

0:01:42 > 0:01:47Now we have you kitted up, tracking systems

0:01:47 > 0:01:50on you cameras that are live streaming, radios, and armed people.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Let's go out and do some patrolling.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54This reserve is one of the most high-tech in the world.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56Where are we heading to now?

0:01:56 > 0:01:59What we will do now is start driving and we will be

0:01:59 > 0:02:03checking the fence line, the animals and all of the different areas.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05We use our system to tell us where the

0:02:05 > 0:02:08vulnerabilities are and we will drive around and check those.

0:02:08 > 0:02:15We will check everything we need to do

0:02:15 > 0:02:18and if we have any alerts that come up, we will respond to them

0:02:18 > 0:02:19accordingly.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22They are developing and testing new technology here to help

0:02:22 > 0:02:24them and others in the battle against poachers.

0:02:24 > 0:02:26Every area and animal that can be checked needs to

0:02:26 > 0:02:27be.

0:02:27 > 0:02:33Tonight we are using night-vision cameras and infrared to

0:02:33 > 0:02:35help us spot anything out of the ordinary.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Can you scan with the night-vision for me?

0:02:37 > 0:02:39Yes, sure.

0:02:39 > 0:02:47OK, I can't really see anything that would cause us concern.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51Thankfully, the animals in the area are safe so

0:02:51 > 0:02:56we can let the team back at base know everything is OK.

0:02:58 > 0:03:01Head online to see our special documentary Defending the Rhino,

0:03:01 > 0:03:11watch it and tell your friends, it's brilliant.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Also this morning, adverts for fatty or sugary foods targeted at children

0:03:14 > 0:03:17could be banned online as part of efforts to tackle obesity.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19At the moment unhealthy foods can't be advertised on programmes

0:03:19 > 0:03:21which are likely to appeal to children under 16.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Now a public consultation has been launched to see if the rules need

0:03:24 > 0:03:26to be extended to the internet.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29The Invictus games came to a close last night.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32The games were created by Prince Harry to inspire

0:03:32 > 0:03:34and motivate wounded soldiers on their path to recovery.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37Team GB is coming home with a huge haul of medals,

0:03:37 > 0:03:40second only to America.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43Zoe Williams bagged herself three gold medals and a silver

0:03:43 > 0:03:50in the swimming events.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53Over a period of time during my training in the Royal Navy, I

0:03:53 > 0:03:56sustained a back injury which meant I was not able to continue my career

0:03:56 > 0:03:58at sea.

0:03:58 > 0:04:02The experience has just been unbelievable.

0:04:02 > 0:04:06Prince Harry was absolutely right, lives have really

0:04:06 > 0:04:08changed, and it just proves that anybody,

0:04:08 > 0:04:11whatever has happened to you, can achieve incredible things.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14Sticking with sport now, and at the National Dwarf Games

0:04:14 > 0:04:16in Birmingham a 12-year-old boy from Plymouth has won

0:04:16 > 0:04:20an impressive 13 medals.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29relay, swimming, football and hockey.

0:04:29 > 0:04:37And his love of sport was all down to his dad.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41Since I started in nursery I have always wanted to do sport.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44It's also to do with my dad liking football and we played

0:04:44 > 0:04:47badminton and tennis over our fence.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Finally to the goats cheering up residents at a care home

0:04:50 > 0:04:51in Wiltshire in England.

0:04:51 > 0:04:55The home is opening its own pygmy goat centre.

0:04:55 > 0:04:57Staff want people living there to enjoy petting the small

0:04:57 > 0:05:00goats and say that being around animals can be good

0:05:00 > 0:05:01for people's health.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03But some creatures that aren't getting such a warm welcome

0:05:03 > 0:05:07are seagulls in the city of Bath in the south of England.

0:05:07 > 0:05:10Locals have been complaining about the noise from the birds

0:05:10 > 0:05:14and their aggressive behaviour so the council is removing seagulls'

0:05:14 > 0:05:16nests and using birds of prey to try to encourage
