:00:47. > :00:49.Heavy rain is also on the way and mau cause some flooding.

:01:40. > :01:42.People in Western Scotland were told to prepare for the storm yesterday

:01:43. > :01:45.and one person who has been doing just that is Hannah from Stornaway,

:03:33. > :03:35.Next to the country of Indonesia in south-east Asia, where forest

:03:36. > :03:39.As well as the damage to the environment and the effects

:03:40. > :03:47.on people's health, the fires are also threatening rare wildlife.

:03:48. > :03:54.This is no ordinary fire, rate areas of Indonesia are burning. It is

:03:55. > :04:00.causing big problems for people and animals. Many apes have been forced

:04:01. > :04:04.to flee their forest homes and often heads to villagers in search of food

:04:05. > :04:08.but many locals see them as pests. This can lead to an increase on

:04:09. > :04:13.attacks on the animals. This rare Borneo orangutan and her baby were

:04:14. > :04:17.treated by an animal rescue team after trying to escape the

:04:18. > :04:22.wildfires. The two apes were eventually released back into the

:04:23. > :04:24.wild safely. The haze caused by the fires has been poisoning the air

:04:25. > :04:30.across much of south-east Asia for weeks now. More than 100,000 people

:04:31. > :04:36.in Indonesia are said to be suffering from breathing problems.

:04:37. > :04:40.Fires happen every year in Indonesia but unusually dry weather has made

:04:41. > :04:44.this year 's even worse than normal. A team of firefighters in one part

:04:45. > :04:51.of the country are now being helped by elephants trained to carry hoses

:04:52. > :04:54.and water pumps. TRANSLATION: We are now using elephants, trained to

:04:55. > :05:02.patrol in the jungle in order to put out forest fires early. And stop

:05:03. > :05:06.them from burning. Many of the forest fires are started illegally

:05:07. > :05:09.to clear land to grow new clients, most are set ablaze on peat land

:05:10. > :05:14.which burns for a longer and produces more smoke than other

:05:15. > :05:16.fires. With rain expected here soon the fires could be put out in the

:05:17. > :05:18.next month. And if you want to know anymore
