0:00:54 > 0:00:57We sing in King's College choir which started over 500

0:00:57 > 0:00:58years ago.

0:00:58 > 0:01:04Christmas is a very special time for us because we sing

0:01:04 > 0:01:06in a service called Nine Lessons and Carols.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09And it takes place right here in King's College Chapel in Cambridge,

0:01:09 > 0:01:11it first took place in 1918.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13This service is broadcast live on

0:01:13 > 0:01:16the radio in Christmas Eve and millions of people listen to it

0:01:16 > 0:01:26every year.

0:01:30 > 0:01:36The service starts with a boy singing a solo of Once In

0:01:36 > 0:01:37Royal David's City.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39Nobody knows who's going to do the solo until

0:01:39 > 0:01:41right before it begins when the conductor

0:01:41 > 0:01:42at somebody to do it.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44Before the service I feel excited and nervous.

0:01:44 > 0:01:49Yeah, it's all mixed emotions, really.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51There is always something to help you with

0:01:51 > 0:01:52your nerves.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54I usually take really deep breath and think about how

0:01:54 > 0:01:56amazing the service is going to sound.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59I used to love how I can just imagine when we are singing people

0:01:59 > 0:02:02just smiling on the other side of the radio.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04Before the service I feel proud to sing with this choir

0:02:04 > 0:02:05because it's really, really famous.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08I feel really Christmassy because it's just really building up to

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Christmas.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31Kids wouldn't be able to look at or touch them

0:02:31 > 0:02:32until after school has finished.

0:03:42 > 0:03:43fun new spaceships.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45They are the real fun stuff.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47What does this film mean for the new generation of fans?

0:03:47 > 0:03:49These films from the beginning were meant for children.

0:03:49 > 0:03:51People forget that.

0:03:51 > 0:03:54They say No, it is for 48-year-old nerds.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58No, it's for children.

0:03:58 > 0:04:02It just so happens that it appeals to the child in all of us I

0:04:02 > 0:04:04guess.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07I was seven when I first saw Star Wars and Princess

0:04:07 > 0:04:11Leia meant the world to me, because I hadn't seen many

0:04:11 > 0:04:16iconic female superheroes.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19And now I get to be part of a group, a tribe of very powerful

0:04:19 > 0:04:26female characters.

0:04:26 > 0:04:30I've got my nephews here who are young and they

0:04:30 > 0:04:33are passionate Star Wars fans, and they are the children

0:04:33 > 0:04:36of my brother who's nearly 50 and he is the world's

0:04:36 > 0:04:37greatest Star Wars fan.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39So it is for such a wide audience.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Despite the fact that I am in it I think

0:04:41 > 0:04:51it is one of the best Star Wars films ever made.

0:04:51 > 0:04:53I can't wait for that!

0:04:53 > 0:04:57That's all from me for now, but I'm back with more top stories
