:00:00. > :00:09.This is Newsround. Ricky in the studio this Tuesday afternoon.
:00:10. > :00:12.On the way: A row over some of the characters in Moshi Monsters - we
:00:13. > :00:22.find out why. And the ab-ZORB-ing pre-season
:00:23. > :00:25.training for cricketers. But first, if you've ever wondered
:00:26. > :00:30.what life was like as a soldier during World War One, from today you
:00:31. > :00:33.can read it in their own words. Millions of pages of soldiers'
:00:34. > :00:44.diaries, describing life in the trenches, are being made available
:00:45. > :00:48.online. Ayshah's got this one. We are sitting outside our
:00:49. > :00:54.headquarters trench in the sun. All should be nice and peaceful and
:00:55. > :01:01.pretty, what it actually is is beyond description. Trenches,
:01:02. > :01:05.tools, caps everywhere. The Germans quickly got their artillery into
:01:06. > :01:09.position, and a considerable amount of shelling was experienced. Our
:01:10. > :01:18.casualties in this engagement were slight. The words of a soldier in
:01:19. > :01:24.the First World War, who served with a Welsh battalion. His diary has
:01:25. > :01:28.been published for the first time online in an archive, along with
:01:29. > :01:34.hundreds of soldiers from the First World War. They are going to make
:01:35. > :01:38.over 1.5 million pages available in the next few years, and the Imperial
:01:39. > :01:43.War Museum is to ring the same thing with their collection too. It is
:01:44. > :01:47.really important to have these things online. It means we can
:01:48. > :01:53.access them whenever we like and find out what life was like in the
:01:54. > :01:57.First World War. This year marks 100 years from the start of the war, and
:01:58. > :02:01.this is just one of the ways we will be remembering the sacrifices people
:02:02. > :02:04.made for their countries. The diaries are available online, and if
:02:05. > :02:09.you are going to check them out, remember that some of them contains
:02:10. > :02:11.some pretty upsetting reflections on a war that claimed millions of
:02:12. > :02:15.lives. People in Egypt are voting today and
:02:16. > :02:18.tomorrow over a new set of rules for how their country should be run.
:02:19. > :02:21.Egypt's president was removed from power by the army last summer, and
:02:22. > :02:25.the temporary government in charge has now written up a fresh set of
:02:26. > :02:28.rules. Hundreds of thousands of police and soldiers are on duty to
:02:29. > :02:32.try to maintain control, but some groups are refusing to take part in
:02:33. > :02:34.the vote, and there have been some clashes.
:02:35. > :02:37.Next, Freakface and Fishlips. Just two of the characters from Moshi
:02:38. > :02:40.Monsters which have been criticised by a charity that looks after people
:02:41. > :02:44.with facial disfigurements - things like scars or spots. Changing Faces
:02:45. > :02:47.is calling for people to sign a petition which they hope will force
:02:48. > :02:51.the makers of Moshi Monsters to change the names of its bad guys.
:02:52. > :02:55.I've been finding out why. It's one of the most popular gaming
:02:56. > :02:59.sites for kids. And last year, the residents of Monstro City hit the
:03:00. > :03:04.big screen with the release of their first movie. Like in lots of
:03:05. > :03:08.animation, the baddies look a bit different, with bulging eyes and big
:03:09. > :03:15.lips. But it's the names given to the characters that have caused a
:03:16. > :03:21.problem for one charity. In particular, Fishlips is referred to
:03:22. > :03:24.as a one eyed blob of badness. We think that those to scriptures and
:03:25. > :03:27.names need to be changed. Changing Faces is worried that the villains
:03:28. > :03:30.in Moshi Monsters like, Freakface, make kids connect disfigurement with
:03:31. > :03:41.being bad and that could encourage bullying. Why are you singling out
:03:42. > :03:48.Moshi Monsters? Our problem is with the baddies. Children's who have --
:03:49. > :03:52.children who have disfigurements are exposed to bullying wherever they
:03:53. > :03:56.go, and we don't need to add to the armoury. Mind Candy, the company
:03:57. > :03:59.that makes Moshi Monsters, says its online game has hundreds of monsters
:04:00. > :04:02.with a range of characteristics. They say they're not alone when it
:04:03. > :04:06.comes to giving villains quirky and unusual-looking visual
:04:07. > :04:10.characteristics. Moshi Monsters have told us today that Freakface is not
:04:11. > :04:15.a prominent character and they will not use him again in future
:04:16. > :04:20.storylines. Does that satisfy you? That is interesting news. We have
:04:21. > :04:26.not heard that. We want to see action now both to remove or change
:04:27. > :04:32.the names of Freakface, Fishlips and Bruiser. Today, Mind Candy told me
:04:33. > :04:36.they'll keep speaking to the Changing Faces to work things out.
:04:37. > :04:39.Last up - do you ever find yourself playing footy and thinking, "This
:04:40. > :04:42.isn't hard enough. How can I make it harder?" Me neither. But Hampshire
:04:43. > :04:45.Cricket Club obviously did. They've just been filmed playing zorb
:04:46. > :04:48.football. It's like normal footy, but players are inside giant plastic
:04:49. > :04:51.bubbles. It also means they can run into each other! Don't try that at
:04:52. > :04:54.home. That's all from me. Newsround's back
:04:55. > :04:59.right here with more at 6:50pm. Bye!
