0:00:32 > 0:00:34First, one of the world's most famous scientists,

0:00:34 > 0:00:39Professor Stephen Hawking, has died.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43I've been looking back at his incredible life.

0:00:43 > 0:00:46Stephen Hawking was passionate about science and the sky -

0:00:46 > 0:00:48even as a child.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51He went on to become one of the most famous scientists of all time,

0:00:51 > 0:00:56after studying physics at Oxford University.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59When he was 21, he was told he had motor neurone disease.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02It meant he had to use a wheelchair and had to talk

0:01:02 > 0:01:05through a special computer.

0:01:05 > 0:01:09But he lived for 50 years longer than doctors expected and went

0:01:09 > 0:01:12on to develop amazing theories that changed the way the world thinks

0:01:12 > 0:01:18about space, stars and the universe.

0:01:18 > 0:01:24I do not have much positive to say about motor neurone disease, but it

0:01:24 > 0:01:28taught me not to pity myself and to get on with what I still could do.

0:01:28 > 0:01:32I am happier now than before I developed the condition.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35His most famous book, A Brief History of Time, sold more

0:01:35 > 0:01:39than 10 million copies around the world.

0:01:39 > 0:01:43A film was made about his life in 2014, and the actor

0:01:48 > 0:01:54Professor Hawking even appeared in The Simpsons.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56His family say he was a great scientist who was brilliant,

0:01:56 > 0:01:58very funny and inspired people across the world.

0:01:58 > 0:02:03He was 76.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06Russia has failed to explain if it had anything to do

0:02:06 > 0:02:11with the poisoning of a spy in the UK.

0:02:11 > 0:02:15Theresa May had given them a deadline of midnight last night.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18It's not yet known exactly what the UK will do next.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20Ayshah has more on this.

0:02:20 > 0:02:24This is Sergei Skripal.

0:02:24 > 0:02:26He's from Russia and was jailed there more than ten years

0:02:26 > 0:02:29ago for being a spy.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33But he was released and now lives here in the UK, in Salisbury.

0:02:33 > 0:02:37Just over a week ago, he was found on a bench in the city centre,

0:02:37 > 0:02:39along with his 33-year-old daughter Yulia.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42They were both very poorly.

0:02:42 > 0:02:49It's thought they'd been poisoned deliberately.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52It is also thought a policeman was affected by the poison

0:02:52 > 0:02:54after going to help find out what happened.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56He's in hospital too.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Skripal spied on Russia, where he's from, for Great Britain.

0:02:59 > 0:03:01And that's why many people think he has been hurt.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03The British Prime Minister says the poison used

0:03:03 > 0:03:07to attack him was made in Russia.

0:03:07 > 0:03:09The Government has concluded that it is highly likely that Russia

0:03:09 > 0:03:14was responsible for the act against Sergei and Yulia Skripal.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18But a member of the Russian government says that's rubbish.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22Skripal and his daughter had been to a restaurant and a pub that day.

0:03:22 > 0:03:26People who had also been there have been told to wash their clothes

0:03:35 > 0:03:40to keep people safe.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43Manchester United are out of the Champions League.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46They lost at home to Sevilla.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48The away side took control by scoring a crucial away goal

0:03:48 > 0:03:51with less than 20 minutes left.

0:03:51 > 0:03:55They went on to score a second soon after.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57The only realistic chance of silverware left for United this

0:03:57 > 0:04:00season is the FA Cup.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03Jose Mourinho is the team's manager.

0:04:03 > 0:04:10I sit in this chair twice in the Champions

0:04:10 > 0:04:12League and I knock out Manchester United at

0:04:12 > 0:04:13home, at Old Trafford.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16I sit in this chair with Porto, Man United out, I

0:04:16 > 0:04:19sit in this chair with Real Madrid, Man United out, so I do not think

0:04:19 > 0:04:25it is something new for the club.

0:04:25 > 0:04:31And, of course, being Manchester United

0:04:31 > 0:04:33manager and losing a Champions League tie at home

0:04:33 > 0:04:35is a delusion, obviously.
