:00:57. > :00:59.After six years and 62 days in Downing Street,

:01:00. > :01:01.and when you were probably having your tea, David Cameron

:01:09. > :01:14.as Prime Minister over the last six years.

:01:15. > :01:17.Now, whenever there is a change of Prime Minister or Government,

:01:18. > :01:19.the person leaving and the one taking over have to

:01:32. > :01:36.merger to and officially stepped down from his job. Theresa May was

:01:37. > :01:41.next to see the Queen and that was her big moment. She became the new

:01:42. > :01:45.Conservative Prime Minister. Mrs May left the palace and returned to ten

:01:46. > :01:49.Downing St, where she started picking her top team. One is Boris

:01:56. > :01:59.there, she will start work as only the UK's second female Prime

:02:00. > :02:06.Minister. Her biggest job? Sorting out how the UK weaves the European

:02:07. > :02:07.Union. But don't worry about Larry, the Downing Street cat, he will be

:02:08. > :02:12.staying right where he is. Next, something BIG is happening

:02:13. > :02:15.beneath the streets of London. Deep underground the UK is buiilding

:02:16. > :02:17.a giant new underground Here's CBBC's super scientific

:02:18. > :02:21.reporter Fran Scott on what goes I'm right in the centre of London

:02:22. > :02:27.at Farringdon station. And it might look like everything

:02:28. > :02:30.is normal here but beneath my feet, the biggest building

:02:31. > :02:32.project in Europe is going The massive project to build this

:02:33. > :02:43.new train line for And in the summer of 2012,

:02:44. > :02:47.while London was hosting the Olympics, massive

:02:48. > :02:52.machines started digging. It has taken well over

:02:53. > :02:54.20,000 workers, over 100 million hours of work,

:02:55. > :02:58.and they've had to move millions of tonnes of mud

:02:59. > :03:02.in the 42 kilometre route. The digging finally

:03:03. > :03:08.finished right here, where the tunnelling

:03:09. > :03:10.machine, called Tory, broke through to reach this -

:03:11. > :03:13.what will become the new Farringdon Now, they're working on getting

:03:14. > :03:26.seven new stations ready So, how do you go

:03:27. > :03:29.from this... Chloe is one of many engineers

:03:30. > :03:34.working to make that happen. So, an essential part of any railway

:03:35. > :03:36.is the actual track. We're going to lay ours right

:03:37. > :03:39.here where we are walking. So we won't be able to walk

:03:40. > :03:42.here in the future? No - trains will be running

:03:43. > :03:44.through this tunnel, picking up passengers and taking

:03:45. > :03:46.them to their destinations. Chloe, this looks incredible.

:03:47. > :03:49.What is it? This is a temporary shaft,

:03:50. > :03:52.it won't be part of We use them during construction

:03:53. > :03:56.to bring materials in and out You just crane them in?

:03:57. > :04:01.Yes. That's brilliant! This is one of our escalator tunnels

:04:02. > :04:06.here at Farringdon. What you can see now is the final

:04:07. > :04:10.concrete lining being put on top of the orange

:04:11. > :04:12.waterproofing. This will eventually be one

:04:13. > :04:16.of the access points There are lots of parts that make

:04:17. > :04:24.up a working station, but this one will not be ready

:04:25. > :04:28.for us to use for another 2-3 years. Which is a good job because there

:04:29. > :04:31.are still lots to do. Some people in Colorado in America

:04:32. > :04:39.are used to seeing grizzly bears, but somehow, THIS bear

:04:40. > :04:41.managed to lock itself in a car, despite not

:04:42. > :04:43.breaking any windows... Don't worry, though,

:04:44. > :04:45.the bear was unharmed. That's all from me, Newsround's back

:04:46. > :04:54.right here in about half an hour.
