:00:00. > :00:00.Hi guys, Ricky here with your big stories this Friday.
:00:07. > :00:27.And, Jo Konta waves goodbye to Wimbeldon.
:00:28. > :00:29.First up to Wimbledon - and Britain's number one
:00:30. > :00:31.Johanna Konta is out of the competition.
:00:32. > :00:35.Ayshah's in London now to tell us what happened.
:00:36. > :00:43.Hi, Ricky. Yes, Jo Konta was on that Centre Court yesterday and went
:00:44. > :00:47.further than any other British female for almost 40 years and she
:00:48. > :00:50.was the favourite in that match against Venus Williams, but
:00:51. > :00:59.unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. Here is what happened.
:01:00. > :01:01.Hopes were sky-high for Johanna Konta but this was the moment her
:01:02. > :01:09.She was playing against American Venus
:01:10. > :01:11.Williams who has won this competition five times in the past,
:01:12. > :01:17.so it was never going to be an easy match.
:01:18. > :01:26.Venus's powerful serve and years of experience performing at
:01:27. > :01:28.the top level proved too much for Konta.
:01:29. > :01:30.She lost the first set and after that never managed
:01:31. > :01:43.That is the first blow to Venus Williams.
:01:44. > :01:46.All the credit has to go to Venus and the way she
:01:47. > :01:51.She really just dictated the match from
:01:52. > :01:52.the very beginning until the very end.
:01:53. > :01:56.So I had very few chances to get a good foothold in the match,
:01:57. > :01:59.and again when I did have those chances she did very well to take
:02:00. > :02:04.Although she didn't win she's proved she is among the world's best
:02:05. > :02:09.and we're pretty sure this won't be the last we see of Johanna Konta.
:02:10. > :02:16.So, disappointment but there's plenty more
:02:17. > :02:23.action here at Wimbledon - later today is the men's
:02:24. > :02:25.semi-finals - and I'll be right back
:02:26. > :02:32.Yes, keep watching Johanna Konta, great things to come.
:02:33. > :02:34.Next up, to kids at a school in London that
:02:35. > :02:36.has a new playground, that you can eat!
:02:37. > :02:38.As part of an eco-project and to encourage healthy eating,
:02:39. > :02:41.the school has created a vegetable garden that the kids look
:02:42. > :02:44.Here's what some pupils there think about it.
:02:45. > :02:47.Usually I used to like eat KFC and all that.
:02:48. > :02:49.And then now that I joined this gardening team I'm starting to
:02:50. > :02:54.Some of us, we live in flats or tower blocks and
:02:55. > :02:56.things like that so it's a great opportunity
:02:57. > :02:58.for us just to learn, so
:02:59. > :03:01.when we are later on in life we will know
:03:02. > :03:03.how to do it and then we will
:03:04. > :03:05.be like thank you, I'm so glad we had this
:03:06. > :03:10.gardening in school, I
:03:11. > :03:12.really did appreciate it, it really did help me.
:03:13. > :03:15.It makes me want to have more fresh and organic food
:03:16. > :03:18.than the normal processed, and it's a chance for you to try out
:03:19. > :03:21.Instead of always buying fruits and stuff you
:03:22. > :03:32.can plant them and then you get to take them and even yourself.
:03:33. > :03:42.This gardening experience has helped both of us and our families so it's
:03:43. > :03:46.really nice and other people who don't get this opportunity should
:03:47. > :03:48.have this. This is really good. This is one of the best things you can
:03:49. > :03:49.do. Now, growing things
:03:50. > :03:52.at school isn't unusual - and we want to hear
:03:53. > :03:55.from you about what you like growing at school or at home -
:03:56. > :03:58.plants, vegetables or just flowers? And do you think growing healthy
:03:59. > :04:00.food is a good idea? Next up, she's big,
:04:01. > :04:07.blue and a bit boney. The Natural History Museum in London
:04:08. > :04:21.has a new star resident. DP, you might have spotted him on a
:04:22. > :04:28.school trip, the diplodocus has been the rock star of the Natural History
:04:29. > :04:37.Museum for nearly 40 years. -- Dippy. But now it's out with the old
:04:38. > :04:40.and in with the blue. Meet Hope, the balaenoptera musculus, better known
:04:41. > :04:45.as a blue whale, the largest animal on Earth, weighing up to 200 tonnes,
:04:46. > :04:50.almost 30 African elements and measuring in at a lengthy 30 metres,
:04:51. > :04:53.or two double-decker buses if you prefer. The lower jawbone is the
:04:54. > :05:01.largest single bone to be grown by any organism on the planet. And they
:05:02. > :05:05.can live to well over 100 years, that's a whaley long time. They were
:05:06. > :05:10.hunted almost to extinction in the 1900 but were also one of the first
:05:11. > :05:13.species humans decided to save, so by introducing Hope the museum wants
:05:14. > :05:17.visitors to think more about protecting animals and not just
:05:18. > :05:21.their history. Look at the size of this space, we wanted something
:05:22. > :05:25.large and impressive and Hope fills that for us and she will inspire
:05:26. > :05:31.people and looks gorgeous. It's taken the team months to put
:05:32. > :05:35.together Hope's 221 bones and had to use special technologies like a 3D
:05:36. > :05:41.printers and work with teams of engineers and conservationists. But,
:05:42. > :05:44.don't worry if you missed Dippy, he is set for his first UK tour to
:05:45. > :05:45.visit the fans early next year. It's the Royal International
:05:46. > :05:47.Air Tattoo this weekend And take a look at this -
:05:48. > :05:51.this is what it's like to fly inside one of the famous
:05:52. > :05:53.Red Arrows planes. They have been getting some practice
:05:54. > :05:56.in ahead of their big show. That's all from me,
:05:57. > :06:00.Newsround's back at 4:20pm. There's something fishy going
:06:01. > :06:09.on in the O'Brien pirate barbecue in Little Roy next, and your Fave At
:06:10. > :06:13.Five today is Millie Inbetween. Yes, Reecey-pips, well done,
:06:14. > :06:16.cocker. Thanks, man.
