0:00:08 > 0:00:09Welcome to Newsround.
0:00:09 > 0:00:10Ricky here.
0:00:10 > 0:00:15First up, after four days of amazing sporting action, the Invictus Games
0:00:15 > 0:00:17comes to an end today.
0:00:17 > 0:00:19The Games, which were Prince Harry's idea, have
0:00:19 > 0:00:22given injured, wounded and sick servicemen and women from all around
0:00:22 > 0:00:27the world the chance to compete in all kinds of sporting event and
0:00:27 > 0:00:30have been seen as a big success.
0:00:30 > 0:00:31Well, many of the competitors will have taken
0:00:31 > 0:00:34a lot of inspiration from Team GB's Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock.
0:00:34 > 0:00:37He won the 100m gold at the European Championships last month,
0:00:37 > 0:00:40adding to his collection of golds from the Paralympics.
0:00:40 > 0:00:43So Martin tracked him down to find out more about his
0:00:43 > 0:00:45story and just how he got so good.
0:00:45 > 0:00:48I remember being at the Paralympics and it changed a lot of things,
0:00:48 > 0:00:50in my opinion.
0:00:50 > 0:00:52What has it changed mostly for you?
0:00:52 > 0:00:56The way people view people with disabilities has completely
0:00:56 > 0:00:59changed from London 2012.
0:00:59 > 0:01:05And the sport is really intense and competitive and enjoyable.
0:01:05 > 0:01:09There are some really cool sports you can get involved in too.
0:01:09 > 0:01:13What the London 2012 Paralympics did was take away that aspect
0:01:13 > 0:01:16of people being very overly nice to disabled people.
0:01:16 > 0:01:18People just got involved.
0:01:18 > 0:01:23Could you tell us about your disability?
0:01:23 > 0:01:26I was born with cerebral palsy which means having a wheelchair.
0:01:26 > 0:01:27What is your story?
0:01:27 > 0:01:29When I was five, I had meningitis.
0:01:29 > 0:01:32Quite a bad version of it.
0:01:32 > 0:01:36My body tried to fight it and my foot started to die.
0:01:36 > 0:01:41Eventually they had to take off my foot up to about there.
0:01:41 > 0:01:43I did not lose my whole leg.
0:01:43 > 0:01:45It could have been a lot worse.
0:01:45 > 0:01:48Give us an idea of what it takes to become top of your game.
0:01:48 > 0:01:51The biggest difference between being a professional
0:01:51 > 0:01:56sportsperson and just recreational sport is definitely the commitment.
0:01:56 > 0:02:01It is the 24/7 thinking about it.
0:02:01 > 0:02:04What time to go to bed, what food to eat.
0:02:04 > 0:02:09All of these different lifestyle choices
0:02:09 > 0:02:12that you do not think about, you cannot do that as a sportsperson.
0:02:12 > 0:02:17You have got to be thinking about the next session.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20I am training five, six days a week. Was sport always something
0:02:20 > 0:02:21you were going to get into?
0:02:21 > 0:02:24I have always been sport mad through school, always football mad.
0:02:24 > 0:02:26I think definitely if I was not doing it,
0:02:26 > 0:02:29if I was doing a day-to-day job, I would definitely still be playing
0:02:29 > 0:02:30something on the weekends.
0:02:30 > 0:02:32Next, check out these amazing pictures of
0:02:32 > 0:02:35cracks in the earth appearing around the base of a volcano in Hawaii.
0:02:35 > 0:02:39It happened as the Kilauea volcano started to erupt in Honolulu.
0:02:39 > 0:02:44Experts there are worried the lava could spill onto motorways nearby.
0:02:44 > 0:02:47And finally, you might think Barack Obama turning up at
0:02:47 > 0:02:48your school would be pretty cool.
0:02:48 > 0:02:51But the American president got an unlikely snub
0:02:51 > 0:02:54after making a surprise visit to see kids in Washington.
0:02:54 > 0:02:59This girl told him she'd hoped Beyonce was coming instead.
0:02:59 > 0:02:59That's it.
0:02:59 > 0:03:04We're back at 11.55.
