0:00:37 > 0:00:39And did you watch Eurovision on Saturday night?

0:00:39 > 0:00:41It was won for the first time ever by Portugal.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44The winner Salvador Sabral got a hero's welcome from thousands

0:00:44 > 0:00:46of fans when he went back to Portugal.

0:00:46 > 0:00:48But the singer was very modest, saying Portugal's real national hero

0:00:48 > 0:00:53was still Cristiano Ronaldo.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56If you've got a garage at home, what does it get used for?

0:00:56 > 0:00:58Storing junk?

0:00:58 > 0:01:02Keeping the bike warm?

0:01:02 > 0:01:04Martin's been to meet two school pupils who have been

0:01:04 > 0:01:07using their coding skills to create something big in their garage.

0:01:07 > 0:01:08Have a watch.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10This might look like an ordinary garage but inside Beth

0:01:10 > 0:01:12and Emily have been building something very special.

0:01:12 > 0:01:16Meet Roy the Robot.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19They built Roy from scratch and have just come back from America

0:01:19 > 0:01:23where Roy competed at the Robotics World Championships.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25They were one of the youngest teams there with 500 robots

0:01:25 > 0:01:30from around the world.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32Check out the awesome abilities on this robot!

0:01:32 > 0:01:34They are back in the UK so I'm going to investigate

0:01:34 > 0:01:36what this robot is all about.

0:01:36 > 0:01:41What do you guys have to do to make Roy do his job?

0:01:41 > 0:01:44First we had to design a robot that could pick up hex balls,

0:01:44 > 0:01:47as many as four balls, and then stack them and get up

0:01:47 > 0:01:50the bridge in one minute.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52We've already programmed it to drive.

0:01:52 > 0:01:53We've got a remote.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57It looks a bit like what you use to play video games on the TV with.

0:01:57 > 0:01:58We've changed our robot three times.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01The first one didn't work so we changed it

0:02:01 > 0:02:05to pick up three balls.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08We wanted it to pick up four so we changed it again.

0:02:08 > 0:02:09What was it like in America?

0:02:09 > 0:02:11You competed against 500 different teams.

0:02:11 > 0:02:13My favourite part is competing with the other teams

0:02:13 > 0:02:15and getting to meet them and how their robot works.

0:02:15 > 0:02:17So what's next for Roy?

0:02:17 > 0:02:20We won't use Roy any more.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23We'll make a new robot.

0:02:23 > 0:02:29We found out in America what our new game is and the new game

0:02:29 > 0:02:35is hoops instead of hex balls, so we need to try and get as many

0:02:35 > 0:02:36hoops onto a pole as we can.

0:02:36 > 0:02:37So watch out, robot makers.

0:02:37 > 0:02:42There will be a new robot into very soon.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44There will be a new robot in town very soon.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47Next up this man is set to go where no wingsuit

0:02:47 > 0:02:49pilot has gone before - 40,000 feet in the air

0:02:49 > 0:02:50to break four world records.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54Ricky's got more.

0:02:56 > 0:03:01This is Fraser.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04He jumps out of planes in this special wingsuit for fun.

0:03:04 > 0:03:08Yes, it's kind of a hobby.

0:03:08 > 0:03:15And this week he is trying to break four wingsuit jumping world records.

0:03:15 > 0:03:19He wants to fly at an altitude of 40,000 feet, that's higher

0:03:19 > 0:03:26than the top of Mount Everest, the earth's highest mountain,

0:03:26 > 0:03:29and he aims to glide at 250 mph wearing just his suit,

0:03:29 > 0:03:30no other equipment.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33That's very fast.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36I jump all over the world but I train mainly in the UK

0:03:36 > 0:03:38and I have a phenomenal team behind me who basically

0:03:38 > 0:03:42pulled this all together.

0:03:42 > 0:03:45He's carrying out the special world record attempt over Canada

0:03:45 > 0:03:48and the US and hopes to raise money for an Armed Forces charity.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50The suit has got a number of features.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53First of all it is huge, which gives me a massive surface

0:03:53 > 0:03:56area, which gives me the optimum shape and form to be able

0:03:56 > 0:03:58to fly for a long time.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00So what does it feel like in the sky?

0:04:00 > 0:04:03All I can explain to you is that it's one of those sensations

0:04:03 > 0:04:04that's really special.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07Take all the pressure off your body, put yourself into a flat position,

0:04:07 > 0:04:09and imagine you are a bird and you can fly

0:04:09 > 0:04:14wherever you want to.

0:04:14 > 0:04:17I see a point four or five miles away and I can target that

0:04:17 > 0:04:20point and fly to it.

0:04:20 > 0:04:22The suit actually inflates around me.

0:04:22 > 0:04:23The airflow rushes into it.

0:04:23 > 0:04:27It inflates and it is quite large and it allows me to actually glide.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30Instead of falling at 120 mph I am falling at 30 to 40 mph.

0:04:30 > 0:04:33Fraser has been training hard for this challenge and over

0:04:33 > 0:04:37the years he has carried out 1300 wingsuit dives.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39And talking of skydiving, a 101-year-old from Devon has become

0:04:39 > 0:04:41the oldest person ever to do one.

0:04:41 > 0:04:43Verdun Hayes, who fought in World War Two,

0:04:43 > 0:04:46jumped 15,000 feet from a plane along with three

0:04:46 > 0:04:51generations of his family yesterday afternoon.

0:04:51 > 0:04:54He beats the previous record set by a man who was 35 days younger.

0:04:54 > 0:04:55That's all from me.

0:04:55 > 0:05:00Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08Wild and Weird is on the way,

0:05:08 > 0:05:11and our Fave at Five today is brand-new Hetty Feather! Yes!

0:05:11 > 0:05:12We cannot wait for it.

0:05:12 > 0:05:15Hey, Karim, I was thinking, I bet you are well relieved

0:05:15 > 0:05:17that you didn't live in Victorian times, aren't you? Why?

0:05:17 > 0:05:20Well, they'd have shoved you right up a chimney, wouldn't they, eh?
