:00:17. > :00:19.Hello, everyone. Leah and Ricky steering you through Newsround this

:00:19. > :00:25.Monday. We've been sorting through today's big stories and we've

:00:25. > :00:30.picked the ones we know matter to you. Coming up... Hayley's

:00:30. > :00:34.practicing her steps in the next of her summer holiday series. And if

:00:34. > :00:38.these people are going on holiday, they're not getting very far! But

:00:38. > :00:41.first, it's not very often we can say these words. England are the

:00:41. > :00:44.best team in the world! Yep, after beating India again, the country's

:00:44. > :00:48.cricketers have arrived where its footballers and rugby players can

:00:48. > :00:51.only dream of going - on top of the world! It's even more surprising

:00:51. > :00:58.because England's cricket, a bit like its weather, used to be a bit

:00:58. > :01:02.of a joke. Being an England fan isn't always easy. But when your

:01:02. > :01:11.team become world number one, I think it's fair to feel a bit of

:01:11. > :01:13.pride. It's amazing to see the batsman's improved. It's great. It

:01:13. > :01:19.means everyone who is enjoying cricket has something to aim for,

:01:19. > :01:22.and has someone at the top to look up to and be like in the future.

:01:22. > :01:25.For more than 300 years people have been playing cricket in England.

:01:25. > :01:29.But just because we came up with the game doesn't mean we've always

:01:29. > :01:32.been good. For the last decade it's been a rocky ride for England fans.

:01:32. > :01:35.Back in 1999 they were officially the worst team in the world.

:01:35. > :01:41.Between 1989 and 2003, England didn't win the famous Ashes series

:01:41. > :01:47.against Australia once. Then in 2005, this finally happened and the

:01:47. > :01:51.team became national heroes overnight. But glory didn't last

:01:51. > :01:56.for long. Two years ago we ranked sixth, but after new coach Andy

:01:56. > :01:59.Flower came on board everything started to change. England began an

:01:59. > :02:03.unbeaten run of Test match wins. Great cricketing nations fell one

:02:03. > :02:09.by one until... In January this year, England won the Ashes trophy

:02:09. > :02:13.on Australian soil for the first time in 24 years. Then on Saturday

:02:13. > :02:17.they beat India - the number one Test nation - in the third of four

:02:17. > :02:24.home tests to leapfrog them in the rankings. And there we are - world

:02:24. > :02:27.Number One. Not since our grandparents were young has England

:02:27. > :02:36.had such a successful team. More kids are taking up the game and

:02:36. > :02:46.finally they have a team to be proud of. You are number one, great

:02:46. > :02:48.

:02:48. > :02:52.work. Keep it up, England. Jimmy Anderson, you are a legend. Now,

:02:52. > :02:56.can England's other teams learn from this? Well sports journalist

:02:56. > :03:04.Matthew Syed joins us on the sofa. Do you reckon they'll be able to

:03:04. > :03:08.stay on top? Mack the million dollar question. We've seen other

:03:08. > :03:13.teams get to the top but can they sustain the focus that got them

:03:13. > :03:21.there? What about some of our other national teams that aren't doing so

:03:21. > :03:25.well - can they learn anything? There is a lesson to be learnt.

:03:25. > :03:27.It's no fluke they got to the top, they have worked harder than any

:03:27. > :03:32.other national cricket team in the world. If the other teams can learn

:03:32. > :03:39.from that we will get more success elsewhere. These guys work

:03:39. > :03:43.incredibly hard. Unquestionably. That has been key to their success.

:03:43. > :03:46.Is he staying or is he going? The saga over Cesc Fabregas' future has

:03:46. > :03:50.finally come to an end. He is leaving Arsenal. The Gunners have

:03:50. > :03:53.let him return to his hometown club, Barcelona, for 30 million. He's

:03:53. > :03:56.already been shown off at Barca earlier today. He started playing

:03:56. > :04:02.for Arsenal when he was just 16 years-old - the club's youngest

:04:03. > :04:06.ever first team player. A final sports story now and good news for

:04:06. > :04:09.animal lovers. Yes, fences for the Grand National race at Aintree are

:04:09. > :04:12.being lowered, to make the event safer for the horses taking part.

:04:12. > :04:16.It's after two racehorses - not these ones - died falling over at

:04:16. > :04:22.fences earlier this year. It's hoped these changes will help stop

:04:22. > :04:25.more fatal injuries in the future. Strictly Come Dancing fans will

:04:25. > :04:30.already be polishing their shoes as the show returns next month. But if

:04:30. > :04:32.you think dancing's just for the stars, you're wrong! Yes, because

:04:33. > :04:36.the show that's responsible for getting half the country dancing

:04:36. > :04:39.has also got loads of you guys into ballroom. In the latest of Hayley's

:04:39. > :04:49.Super Summer series, she's been meeting the kids who have swapped a

:04:49. > :04:58.

:04:58. > :05:01.Blackpool, a seaside town that sees swarms of kids heading to the beach

:05:02. > :05:07.at the famous tower in the summer holidays. But I'm going backstage

:05:07. > :05:11.to meet some of the kids to have a 50 -- a very different view of the

:05:11. > :05:14.tower. Natasha and Robbo ballroom dancers and are performing in the

:05:14. > :05:19.famous tower ballroom this summer to hundreds of visitors. It can get

:05:19. > :05:27.pretty noisy in there. Here we are in the famous tower ballroom. But

:05:27. > :05:32.you are not touring here. We are dancers. We do competitions and

:05:32. > :05:36.shows throughout the years, dancing with the stars off at Strictly Come

:05:36. > :05:42.Dancing. These are holidays, here you are dancing inside. Why?

:05:42. > :05:45.just love to dance. It's our life. It's an honour to be dancing in the

:05:45. > :05:49.famous tower ballroom. The atmosphere is amazing. I love the

:05:49. > :05:53.lights, the dance floor is amazing. I have done a bit of dancing before

:05:53. > :05:59.but I've never done ballroom dancing. Would you be able to teach

:06:00. > :06:09.me? Yeah. You think I'll be able to do that? Maybe. Can you show me

:06:10. > :06:21.

:06:21. > :06:24.I certainly need more practice! But it's not just the steps that go

:06:24. > :06:32.into making these guys ballroom dancers. It's the glitz and glamour

:06:32. > :06:34.that makes these guys true stars. Hayley for Strictly Come Dancing?

:06:34. > :06:37.Now, think Hollywood blockbuster and you wouldn't automatically

:06:37. > :06:40.picture Glasgow. But the Scottish city is being turned into a movie

:06:40. > :06:43.set for the next two weeks. Street signs have been changed and

:06:43. > :06:46.American cars have been brought in to make it look like downtown

:06:46. > :06:49.Philadelphia. It's all for a film about zombies taking over the world,

:06:49. > :06:53.starring this man - Brad Pitt! Finally, to evidence that perhaps

:06:53. > :06:57.humans really weren't built to fly. These guys have been taking part in

:06:57. > :07:00.the Bird Man competition in Worthing in Sussex. The idea is to

:07:00. > :07:06.fly as far as you can using homemade objects, though I'm not

:07:06. > :07:09.sure this Doctor Who wannabe quite understood that. This man took the

:07:09. > :07:13.top prize, reaching 78 metres and spending an impressive 14 seconds
