:00:41. > :00:43.who believe that white people are better than other races -

:00:44. > :00:46.protested in the town of Charlottesville.

:00:47. > :00:48.They weren't happy because a statue of one of their heroes

:00:49. > :00:53.One woman was killed and many others were injured after violence broke

:00:54. > :00:58.out between the group and anti-racism protestors.

:00:59. > :01:01.President Trump had been criticised for not being harsh enough

:01:02. > :01:05.on the extremists in an earlier speech.

:01:06. > :01:08.Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name

:01:09. > :01:14.Including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate

:01:15. > :01:16.groups that are repugnant to everything we hold

:01:33. > :01:34.Now, for some of you, the summer holidays are over -

:01:35. > :01:37.and you're starting high school for the first time.

:01:38. > :01:39.If you're feeling a bit nervous, no problem -

:01:40. > :01:41.these guys have a bit of advice for you.

:01:42. > :01:44.When it's, like, a Friday, don't act excited because the teachers

:01:45. > :01:47.will most likely keep you later so that you can miss your bus

:01:48. > :01:55.If you're feeling nervous, you should go and talk to someone,

:01:56. > :01:58.because that's what I did in the first couple of weeks and it

:01:59. > :02:02.made me feel a lot more confident about school.

:02:03. > :02:07.It's going to be bigger than primary school and it takes

:02:11. > :02:14.Be loud and confident with your answer instead

:02:15. > :02:21.of just being like "Oh, is it this?"

:02:22. > :02:24.Behave, do your homework, do what the teacher asks.

:02:25. > :02:26.Try and make as many new friends who don't go

:02:27. > :02:31.On the first day, don't be by yourself.

:02:32. > :02:33.Go and find new people, make new friends.

:02:34. > :02:35.First impressions for teachers are really important,

:02:36. > :02:37.because teachers will base how your behaviour is off

:02:38. > :02:42.And you don't have a first impression twice, so you should

:02:43. > :02:46.Next, this week is the 70th anniversary of a very

:02:47. > :02:51.In 1947, India won independence from Britain and was split

:02:52. > :02:57.into two new countries - India and Pakistan.

:02:58. > :02:59.Millions of people had to leave their homes and move

:03:00. > :03:03.This is the story of one family who had to make

:03:04. > :03:33.People from all backgrounds lived alongside each other.

:03:34. > :03:36.By the time of partition, I was 31 years old and my husband

:03:37. > :03:46.As the country divided, suspicion grew between Hindu,

:03:47. > :03:54.One evening I was home alone with my children when I heard

:03:55. > :04:08.I woke my children and we fled in the middle of the night.

:04:09. > :04:10.I left everything behind and I buried my wedding

:04:11. > :04:12.jewellery in the dirt, hoping one day I would

:04:13. > :04:20.We walked along through the dark night, which was lit up only

:04:21. > :04:28.by the fires of people's homes being set alight in the distance.

:04:29. > :04:31.When we finally reached the train station it was packed with people.

:04:32. > :04:46.We squashed into an overloaded train heading towards the new border.

:04:47. > :04:56.During the journey, the train stopped suddenly for a long time.

:04:57. > :05:02.We were afraid we would get attacked by mobs.

:05:03. > :05:05.Thankfully, there were soldiers on our train so we were able

:05:06. > :05:11.But then the attackers managed to separate the last three carriages

:05:12. > :05:21.When we reach Lahore, we were placed in a refugee camp

:05:22. > :05:26.with many other people, and lived there for over a year.

:05:27. > :05:41.I never returned to my home in Rampur.

:05:42. > :05:46.Next up, I think this panda sums up how I'm feeling this morning...

:05:47. > :05:51.This giant panda cub was born at a zoo in Japan a few weeks ago.

:05:52. > :05:53.There's a competition to let the public name the panda.

:05:54. > :05:55.Zookeepers will reveal the winner in September.
