:00:13. > :00:14.Good afternoon. Jenny here with Monday's Newsround update.
:00:15. > :00:17.It's a busy one. On the way - spiders for tea? We
:00:18. > :00:19.check out the creepiest crawliest restaurant ever.
:00:20. > :00:22.Plus - landing a spacecraft on a comet. What could be easier? This is
:00:23. > :00:34.First, talk about tense - with only three days before people in Scotland
:00:35. > :00:37.get to vote on their future, it's so close, no-one knows which way the
:00:38. > :00:41.vote will go. On Thursday, anyone 16 and over and living in Scotland will
:00:42. > :00:43.be asked one question. Should Scotland be an independent country?
:00:44. > :00:47.Today, politicians on both sides are in Scotland trying to win over
:00:48. > :00:50.anyone who's not made their mind up yet. One of the big issues for
:00:51. > :00:54.voters is the oil in the North Sea, which brings a lot of money and jobs
:00:55. > :00:57.to Scotland. Thousands of people work on the oil rigs, drilling under
:00:58. > :01:00.the sea for oil and gas. Workers spend weeks away from home, because
:01:01. > :01:03.the rigs are miles from shore. Martin has been to Aberdeen, to meet
:01:04. > :01:21.I'm Anna. I'm ten and I live in Aberdeen. My dad works offshore on a
:01:22. > :01:26.rig in the North Sea. He takes quite an unusual way to his work. He flies
:01:27. > :01:33.in a helicopter. Today, me and my dad are going to show Martin what
:01:34. > :01:39.it's all about. What is your dad up to now? He's checking in. It's a bit
:01:40. > :01:42.like an airport. My dad gets weighed, because the helicopter can
:01:43. > :01:50.only take a certain amount of weight. What is in your dad's
:01:51. > :01:55.wearing? It's like a suit. This is what my dad wears when he goes to
:01:56. > :02:00.work. Is it like a safety suit? It's a safety suit on the helicopter. Can
:02:01. > :02:06.you tell us what it's like working on the rig in the middle of the
:02:07. > :02:12.North Sea? You are outside and all you can see is the sea. We do 14
:02:13. > :02:18.days at a time. Every day you do 12-hour shifts. I quite regularly
:02:19. > :02:23.see seals cutting about and we also see sharks and you see the odd
:02:24. > :02:28.killer whale. I've seen them. Anna, how do you feel about your dad
:02:29. > :02:33.working on the oil riggs? Sometimes I'm sad because he's not here for my
:02:34. > :02:43.birthday, but then he'll be here for Christmas. He does the occasional
:02:44. > :02:49.e-mail. It can be hard if you are missing special occasions, but
:02:50. > :02:54.there's always a phone. Does this give you a better understanding of
:02:55. > :03:00.what your dad does in Yes. I can see why now he's too tired. Thank you
:03:01. > :03:09.very much for doing this. I had fun. Shall we go now? Next stop,
:03:10. > :03:15.It's a huge day on Newsround tomorrow. Join us in the morning to
:03:16. > :03:18.watch these three girls put the two big rivals in the Scottish
:03:19. > :03:24.Referendum debate on the spot. Newsround viewers interview Alastair
:03:25. > :03:27.Darling and Alex Salmond. The Newsround website is the place
:03:28. > :03:33.to be for all your Scotland news. Watch Ayshah and Martin out and
:03:34. > :03:40.out everything you need to know about the Referendum.
:03:41. > :03:43.Next, it's a one-shot opportunity - attempting to land a spacecraft on a
:03:44. > :03:47.high-speed comet. The European Space Agency has announced which part of
:03:48. > :03:51.the comet they're going to try to land on. It won't be easy - the
:03:52. > :03:53.comet has a jagged and rocky surface, but scientists have
:03:54. > :03:56.identified a smooth area, which they hope is the perfect spot for the
:03:57. > :03:59.Rosetta spacecraft to touch down. They'll carry out the landing
:04:00. > :04:01.attempt in November. It's hoped it'll give scientists the most
:04:02. > :04:14.people have been forced to stay indoors, after a hurricane hit the
:04:15. > :04:17.west of the country. The resort of Los Cabos has been worst affected,
:04:18. > :04:20.with alerts for flooding, storm surges, and landslides. Shelters
:04:21. > :04:23.have already been set up, so people have somewhere to stay if their
:04:24. > :04:34.Last up - if your mum's been bugging you to eat your tea, just be glad
:04:35. > :04:37.it's not this! A restaurant in Mexico is serving up dishes made
:04:38. > :04:40.with whole spiders. They say the way it's prepared, along with the
:04:41. > :04:46.flavour of the spiders, is going down very well.
:04:47. > :04:50.Well, what are you waiting for - head to the Newsround website for
