0:00:05 > 0:00:07Coming up:
0:00:07 > 0:00:10Ore gives us a sneak peek behind the scenes
0:00:10 > 0:00:12of Strictly Come Dancing.
0:00:12 > 0:00:22Meet the orphan sea lion pups who are tasting freedom again.
0:00:25 > 0:00:29First, at Newsround HQ we've heard from some of you who are worried
0:00:29 > 0:00:31about people dressing as clowns to deliberately try
0:00:31 > 0:00:32and frighten others.
0:00:32 > 0:00:34You've told us there are lots of rumours about clowns
0:00:34 > 0:00:38going around at the moment so we decided to look at the facts.
0:00:38 > 0:00:46Ricky's been investigating.
0:00:46 > 0:00:49It started in the US and Canada, people dressing up as clowns and
0:00:49 > 0:00:50scaring others.
0:00:50 > 0:00:54Now there have been reports from police of it happening
0:00:54 > 0:00:57here in the UK.
0:00:57 > 0:00:58Harmless fun?
0:00:58 > 0:01:00Well, not everyone thinks so.
0:01:00 > 0:01:03Over the past few weeks, it has also spread
0:01:03 > 0:01:06online with lots of people posting videos on social media.
0:01:06 > 0:01:08But now some parents say it is getting out of
0:01:08 > 0:01:10hand and there are loads of rumours flying around,
0:01:10 > 0:01:12like clowns will come to your school
0:01:12 > 0:01:15if you don't share pictures of them.
0:01:15 > 0:01:17None of those are true.
0:01:17 > 0:01:20In the UK, a number of police forces say they are getting calls
0:01:20 > 0:01:21from people who have been frightened
0:01:21 > 0:01:23when they have seen people dressed as clowns.
0:01:23 > 0:01:28The police say there is nothing funny about it.
0:01:28 > 0:01:30The police, they've put extra patrols on,
0:01:30 > 0:01:32if anybody sees anything and if anybody is frightened,
0:01:32 > 0:01:33ring straight away.
0:01:33 > 0:01:35The police will come, they don't mind if
0:01:35 > 0:01:38it was a joke and not a serious clown.
0:01:38 > 0:01:42And we have heard that some of you are a bit worried about this
0:01:42 > 0:01:45so we have been taking a closer look at this story and it is important
0:01:45 > 0:01:47to say that these sightings are incredibly rare
0:01:47 > 0:01:49and no one has been hurt.
0:01:49 > 0:01:52And even if it is just a few people having a bit of fun,
0:01:52 > 0:01:55the police say they are taking these incidents very seriously.
0:01:55 > 0:01:59They say anybody who dresses up as a clown
0:01:59 > 0:02:07to scare someone on purpose could get into a lot of trouble.
0:02:07 > 0:02:10If you are worried about people dressed as clowns then make sure
0:02:10 > 0:02:12you speak to an adult about it.
0:02:12 > 0:02:14And if you are upset by the news, there's loads of advice over
0:02:14 > 0:02:18at Newsround online.
0:02:18 > 0:02:19Next, ex-Newsround presenter Ore Oduba
0:02:19 > 0:02:21is starring in Strictly Come Dancing this year.
0:02:21 > 0:02:23He wowed us last week with his American Smooth,
0:02:23 > 0:02:25but what's he doing this week?
0:02:25 > 0:02:30Take a look at this.
0:02:30 > 0:02:31Hi, Newsround.
0:02:31 > 0:02:32It's Ore.
0:02:32 > 0:02:33We are at Strictly.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44Who is a member of the production team who is going
0:02:44 > 0:02:46to talk me through everything that we have got to do today.
0:02:46 > 0:02:48OK.
0:02:48 > 0:02:49What do we have to do, Laura?
0:02:49 > 0:02:50Come on.

0:02:52 > 0:02:53OK.
0:02:53 > 0:02:54So you have got your fitting first.
0:02:54 > 0:02:55Yes.
0:02:55 > 0:02:57Till about half past and then you have a
0:02:57 > 0:03:00TV Times shoot at 11 in the banqueting hall.
0:03:00 > 0:03:01Oh!

0:03:03 > 0:03:05rehearse your block down the walk-through at one o'clock.
0:03:05 > 0:03:06OK.
0:03:06 > 0:03:08So we've got a fitting first?
0:03:08 > 0:03:09You have.
0:03:09 > 0:03:10Wardrobe.
0:03:10 > 0:03:11OK, Laura, let's walk.
0:03:11 > 0:03:13It gets more glamorous as we go through.
0:03:13 > 0:03:15That's Ben, who is also a member of the team.
0:03:15 > 0:03:18Jo and I are doing the jive this week which is
0:03:18 > 0:03:21so full on, it is fast, it is frenetic but it is so Brilliant.
0:03:21 > 0:03:23But like Laura said, there is so much more
0:03:23 > 0:03:26to get very before we even get to rehearsing that today.
0:03:26 > 0:03:29So I've got To do a fitting first and that TV Times magazine shoot
0:03:29 > 0:03:31she talked about, it's basically Judge Rinder
0:03:31 > 0:03:33dressed as a vampire, me and Claudia Fragapane
0:03:33 > 0:03:34getting scared by him.
0:03:34 > 0:03:36That's just the life that you lead in
0:03:36 > 0:03:44Strictly Come Dancing.
0:03:44 > 0:03:47Now, with nights drawing in, there's a slight chill in the air -
0:03:47 > 0:03:48autumn has arrived.
0:03:48 > 0:03:51But what does that mean for our animal friends who hibernate
0:03:51 > 0:03:51during the colder months?
0:03:51 > 0:03:53Well, over in Bristol, tortoise owners have been
0:03:53 > 0:03:57getting their pets ready for the big winter sleep.
0:03:57 > 0:03:59Meet Fred, she is 40 years young,
0:03:59 > 0:04:07likes letters and lives the high in Somerset.
0:04:07 > 0:04:10Here's Alfie, he's a youngster at 24, also likes lettuce and
0:04:10 > 0:04:12enjoys a life of luxury in Gloucestershire.
0:04:12 > 0:04:14He has his own bedroom with his own light just
0:04:14 > 0:04:15because...
0:04:15 > 0:04:18And I feed him regularly, hand fed, just to make
0:04:18 > 0:04:19sure that he is fine.
0:04:19 > 0:04:21These two are joining lots of fellow tortoises
0:04:21 > 0:04:24here in Bristol for their big winter weigh in, a check-up to make sure
0:04:24 > 0:04:25they're healthy enough to hibernate.
0:04:25 > 0:04:28First off, they are given the once over by a vet.
0:04:28 > 0:04:34We're checking their eyes to make sure their eyes are nice and clear,
0:04:34 > 0:04:37checking their nose to make sure they don't have a runny nose,
0:04:37 > 0:04:39You can just about see inside that mouth just to make
0:04:39 > 0:04:45sure it's nice and pink and healthy.
0:04:45 > 0:04:47Full marks for both Fred and Alfie here.
0:04:47 > 0:04:50Next, they get measured and weighed to make sure they're
0:04:50 > 0:04:54healthy for their size.
0:04:54 > 0:04:562.24kg.
0:04:56 > 0:04:58And is that about right for...?
0:04:58 > 0:05:01That looks about perfect.
0:05:01 > 0:05:04Once again, Fred and Alfie are in top shape!
0:05:04 > 0:05:07They can look forward to a nice sleep this winter
0:05:07 > 0:05:09but not for too long.
0:05:09 > 0:05:11In the wild they would hibernate for perhaps 2-12 weeks.
0:05:11 > 0:05:15A lot of people in this country presume they can put them down
0:05:15 > 0:05:18for six months which is not a good idea so by doing this,
0:05:18 > 0:05:20we can put them right and check on the tortoises before
0:05:20 > 0:05:21they go into hibernation.
0:05:21 > 0:05:23So, these two are all ready for bed.
0:05:23 > 0:05:33It's time to say good night to Fred and Alfie.
0:05:38 > 0:05:39Sweet dreams!
0:05:39 > 0:05:42Finally, nine orphan sea lions have been released back into the wild
0:05:42 > 0:05:43in Peru in South America.
0:05:43 > 0:05:46Overfishing is causing big problems for these animals and these guys had
0:05:46 > 0:05:48been rescued earlier this year after losing their mothers.
0:05:48 > 0:05:50They were released near a small island that already has big
0:05:50 > 0:05:53population of sea lions so let's hope they can make friends soon.
0:05:53 > 0:06:01That's all for now, see you again just after 1.30pm.
