:00:09. > :00:13.It is a special day at Newsround HQ, as we welcome British astronaut
:00:14. > :00:26.Tim Peake to the studio, to answer your questions.
:00:27. > :00:29.But, just before meet Tim, we have had a sneak peak behind the scenes
:00:30. > :00:33.Ex-Newsround presenter Ore Oduba is starring in the show this year
:00:34. > :00:36.and he wowed us last week with his American Smooth.

:00:43. > :00:49.It is rehearsal day, which means there is a lot to get through,
:00:50. > :00:56.Laura is a member of the production team, who is going
:00:57. > :00:59.to talk me through everything that we have got to do today.
:01:00. > :01:11.Till about half past and then you have a TV Times shoot at 11
:01:12. > :01:15.Then, you have got lunch and then you're going to
:01:16. > :01:17.rehearse your block down and walk-through at one o'clock.
:01:18. > :01:25.It gets more glamorous as we go through.
:01:26. > :01:27.That's Ben, who is also a member of the team.
:01:28. > :01:31.Jo and I are doing the jive this week, which is so full on.
:01:32. > :01:33.It is fast, it is frenetic, but it is so brilliant.
:01:34. > :01:35.But like Laura said, there is so much more
:01:36. > :01:38.to get through before we even get to rehearsing that today.
:01:39. > :01:41.So, I've got to do a fitting first and that TV Times magazine shoot
:01:42. > :01:43.she talked about, it's basically Judge Rinder
:01:44. > :01:45.dressed as a vampire, me and Claudia Fragapane
:01:46. > :01:54.That is just the life that you lead on Strictly Come Dancing.
:01:55. > :01:57.Next, Major Tim Peake made history when he became the first-ever
:01:58. > :02:01.He spent six months on board the International Space Station
:02:02. > :02:05.And Tim is here to answer some of your questions, but first,
:02:06. > :02:08.we can take a look at his incredible achievements.
:02:09. > :02:10...on their way to the International Space Station.
:02:11. > :02:13.This is the moment Major Tim Peake blasted up into space.
:02:14. > :02:15.During his six-month stay, he circled Earth 16 times a day,
:02:16. > :02:18.enjoying a view of our planet that few get to see.
:02:19. > :02:20.On board the ISS, Tim had to overcome some new challenges,
:02:21. > :02:23.like learning how to brush his teeth, take a shower
:02:24. > :02:27.He also did a lot of science experiments and became the
:02:28. > :02:30.first Brit to do a space walk, even taking a selfie
:02:31. > :02:33.And as if that wasn't enough to keep him busy,
:02:34. > :02:36.he found time to run a marathon, setting a new record
:02:37. > :02:41.After six months, it was time for Tim to come back home to Earth,
:02:42. > :02:43.where he landed with a bump in Kazakstan in Asia.
:02:44. > :02:56.After six months, it was time for Tim to come back home to Earth,
:02:57. > :02:58.where he landed with a bump in Kazakstan in Asia.
:02:59. > :03:24.It is indeed. And he is with us at the moment. We have had hundreds of
:03:25. > :03:30.questions. We will get cracking. What was your favourite moment?
:03:31. > :03:37.There are so many to choose from. Going out of the era block to do the
:03:38. > :03:42.spacewalk. You go out into this black abyss. For the first time, you
:03:43. > :03:57.are suddenly looking down. How did you feel when you landed back on
:03:58. > :04:02.Earth? We were just relieved that everything was all right. You
:04:03. > :04:13.suddenly feel very heavy. Suddenly, you get called back into gravity. It
:04:14. > :04:23.was a bit strange the first day. A lot of people have been asking how
:04:24. > :04:26.happy your family where to see you back? Obviously, they were happy and
:04:27. > :04:33.it was just straight back into the old routine. It was not as if I had
:04:34. > :04:39.not been in contact. I had a video conference with them once a week.
:04:40. > :04:51.What did you miss most about space when you were back on Earth? The
:04:52. > :04:57.view. It changed every day. Every time you looked, it was something
:04:58. > :05:05.different. Gabriella wants to know where you reverse gear? There was a
:05:06. > :05:11.couple of moments. You are always apprehensive, going on the likes of
:05:12. > :05:16.the spacewalk. It can be dangerous. But we are trained so will, if
:05:17. > :05:22.anything does go wrong, we have training with regard to what to do.
:05:23. > :05:27.But the best thing is to take that here and work out what is making me
:05:28. > :05:39.skint and find a reason why you should not be. What happens if you
:05:40. > :05:46.wanted to cry in space? Astronauts do not cry! But if you wanted to,
:05:47. > :05:54.the water would really just the within your eye. It really would not
:05:55. > :06:00.go anywhere. Did you ever shed a tear? No. Thank you so much for
:06:01. > :06:02.coming in.
