:00:00. > :00:08.Good afternoon. Jenny here on the day that the world

:00:09. > :00:12.paid its final tributes to Nelson Mandela. More on his emotional

:00:13. > :00:15.funeral to come plus... How the historic Chinese space probe

:00:16. > :00:25.has already started work on the moon's surface, and... Hello. I am

:00:26. > :00:32.Sam Bailey and I will be answering some of your questions.

:00:33. > :00:36.First, the world's been saying a final goodbye to one of history's

:00:37. > :00:39.most inspirational figures, Nelson Mandela. His funeral took place

:00:40. > :00:42.today in his home town of Qunu with more than 4000 special guests

:00:43. > :00:46.attending and millions watching on TV around the globe. It's seen as a

:00:47. > :00:58.fitting farewell for the man known as the "father of South Africa" and

:00:59. > :01:03.one of the greatest leaders ever. The national anthem of a free South

:01:04. > :01:08.Africa regained out for the man who made freedom for all possible.

:01:09. > :01:12.Princes and prime ministers, friends and family gathered for the final

:01:13. > :01:22.time to put his achievements interview. Today we celebrate the

:01:23. > :01:31.life that was Nelson Mandela. We salute you. You were a fighter for

:01:32. > :01:40.freedom. Goodbye, my dear brother. You were my leader. 95 candles were

:01:41. > :01:45.lit to mark his 95 years on earth, 27 of which were spent in prison

:01:46. > :01:54.fighting to free South Africa from apartheid. His grandson spoke about

:01:55. > :02:00.the impression his struggle and success had left on the world. It is

:02:01. > :02:05.through my grandfather that the world looked to South Africa. He

:02:06. > :02:10.sought to free like South Africans from oppression. We learned about

:02:11. > :02:16.the spirit of endurance and the Triumph of forgiveness. When the

:02:17. > :02:23.speeches and songs finished there was silence. It was a final moment

:02:24. > :02:32.to remind the world how much it owed to this man.

:02:33. > :02:35.There's loads more about Nelson Mandela's incredible life and why

:02:36. > :02:40.he's seen as so important over on the Newsround website.

:02:41. > :02:43.In other news China's robot rover has started travelling the moon's

:02:44. > :02:46.surface today after becoming the first spacecraft to land there in

:02:47. > :02:50.almost 40 years. These are the latest pictures of the six-wheeled

:02:51. > :02:53.robo-probe rolling down a ramp on to the volcanic plain known as Sinus

:02:54. > :02:59.Iridum. It'll now spend three months gathering scientific data.

:03:00. > :03:03.Sport and things have gone from bad to worse for England's Ashes hopes.

:03:04. > :03:06.They were bowled out for 251 in the first innings of the crucial third

:03:07. > :03:10.test. Australia then piled on the runs and are now 369 ahead with

:03:11. > :03:14.seven men still to bat. England will still have another go in bat, but it

:03:15. > :03:18.looks unlikely that they can avoid the defeat that would make it three

:03:19. > :03:21.nil in the best-of-five series. In football, Premier League team

:03:22. > :03:24.West Brom have sacked manager Steve Clarke. He took them to eighth last

:03:25. > :03:30.season, their highest finish ever, but they've lost their last four

:03:31. > :03:33.games. By tonight we'll know who's been

:03:34. > :03:36.crowned X Factor winner 2013. Sam Bailey is being hotly tipped to take

:03:37. > :03:41.the title after wowing the judges week in, week out. So we caught up

:03:42. > :03:52.with her this week to ask the questions you want answering. It is

:03:53. > :04:03.like a roller coasters arrived. Being out there and singing is the

:04:04. > :04:07.best thing that has happened. I am still going to carry on with my

:04:08. > :04:12.career as a singer. This is a massive platform to move on so to

:04:13. > :04:18.move on and do something, it gives me that space. But I love my job as

:04:19. > :04:22.a prison officer and I want to be a support network for the prison

:04:23. > :04:28.service. It is really tough to be away from home and I miss my family.

:04:29. > :04:33.They are the reason I am doing this. The children love the show. But they

:04:34. > :04:40.do not worry about me. They want to see everyone else. There has been

:04:41. > :04:43.loads of moments where I have almost forgotten my lines and they have

:04:44. > :04:50.come into my head as I am about to send them and that is horrible! So,

:04:51. > :04:55.yes, it is quite nerve wracking but you just have to get on with it.

:04:56. > :05:01.That is show business. The best coach is Sharon Osbourne. She is

:05:02. > :05:08.amazing. She is really supportive. We have a real laugh together. The

:05:09. > :05:17.song I would have on my album would be the first song I sang in the

:05:18. > :05:21.audition which is Listen. My voice has come on so much in this

:05:22. > :05:24.competition because I have heard singing lessons. I would like to

:05:25. > :05:30.send out when again and put it on the album because it would be

:05:31. > :05:33.different. Thank you for sending in -- sending in your questions.

:05:34. > :05:37.That's it from me today but on the day the world said goodbye to Madiba

:05:38. > :05:45.I'll leave you with these images from his life.
