:00:17. > :00:22.On the way this morning... Searing heat stops play at the Australian

:00:23. > :00:26.Open. Manchester City batter Blackburn in the FA Cup. And we

:00:27. > :00:31.bring you twin baby polar bears. This is Newsround. First, to the

:00:32. > :00:34.severe heatwave that's been raging through Australia. Temperatures have

:00:35. > :00:40.soared over 40 degrees Celsius again. And the extreme heat has

:00:41. > :00:44.forced the organisers of the Australian Open Tennis in Melbourne

:00:45. > :00:48.to stop the tournament. Players had been using ice packs in a desperate

:00:49. > :00:51.bid to keep cool, but in the end the heat was too much. And all players

:00:52. > :00:56.were told to finish their current sets and come off court. They are 11

:00:57. > :01:00.hours ahead, so it's just gone 6:30pm in the evening there. Play is

:01:01. > :01:03.due to get started again in a couple of hours, in time for Andy Murray's

:01:04. > :01:06.match later this morning. Number three seed Maria Sharapova battled

:01:07. > :01:18.through three and a half hours of searing heat to win her match. Did

:01:19. > :01:23.you think it was unsafe to play in those conditions? You are not

:01:24. > :01:27.thinking about whether it was safe or not, you are trying to get

:01:28. > :01:32.through the match in the best possible way. You are trying to make

:01:33. > :01:38.it as safe as possible. The BBC's Jon Donnison is in Melbourne. He

:01:39. > :01:42.sent this report a bit earlier on. Just coming up to midday and the

:01:43. > :01:49.temperatures are already up around 40 degrees. We are told today it

:01:50. > :01:53.could get to 44 Celsius. Behind me are a few kids playing in the

:01:54. > :01:58.Fountain. The fans are doing what they can to cool down.

:01:59. > :02:07.We have come out now to the outer courts. There are a couple of games

:02:08. > :02:12.going on either side of me. If you look at the seating, it is

:02:13. > :02:17.interesting. There are lots of empty seats. You wonder if it is too hot

:02:18. > :02:22.for spectators to sit for any length of time. The thing you need here is

:02:23. > :02:28.an umbra love. Here it is for the heat. For the players, this week,

:02:29. > :02:35.they are not happy. They have been passing out on court, vomiting. A

:02:36. > :02:41.number of players have simply dropped out. If they can, people are

:02:42. > :02:47.trying to find shade. It is like a sauna. These two ladies probably

:02:48. > :02:53.have the best leagues in the house, right in front of these, which are

:02:54. > :03:04.pumping out cold, misty air. I, for now, I'm going to join them.

:03:05. > :03:10.Absolute lists. Apple has agreed to give millions of pounds back to

:03:11. > :03:14.parents in America, whose children ran up massive bills by making

:03:15. > :03:17.in-app purchases. Some apps can be downloaded for free but then charge

:03:18. > :03:20.you to continue in the game or buy things like lives, without you

:03:21. > :03:23.realising or needing your parents' permission. The decision to refund

:03:24. > :03:26.customers almost ?20 million in all, will only take place in the States.

:03:27. > :03:29.Here, the company's almost always refunded parents who have complained

:03:30. > :03:33.about massive bills from their kids gaming purchases. Apple will also

:03:34. > :03:36.need to change things so you have to have permission before you make an

:03:37. > :03:39.in-app purchase with your parents' permission. It was another

:03:40. > :03:43.goal-packed night for Manchester City as they hammered Blackburn to

:03:44. > :03:46.easily nail their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The

:03:47. > :03:50.score was 5-0 at the Etihad. Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko each scored

:03:51. > :04:00.twice. City have now scored 99 goals in all competitions, so far, this

:04:01. > :04:06.season. It is a very good moment. It is very important for the team for

:04:07. > :04:12.Sergio to score. We have so many games in the future that we do not

:04:13. > :04:17.have a problem with that. Next, to a proper pair of cuties. These twin

:04:18. > :04:21.polar bear cubs were born just five weeks ago at a zoo in Germany. And

:04:22. > :04:24.they have been caught on camera for the first time. Zoo keepers in

:04:25. > :04:27.Munich haven't worked out yet if they're brothers or sisters. Both

:04:28. > :04:34.cubs are being looked after very well by their mum, Giovanna. If you

:04:35. > :04:37.get a bit of spare time with your mates today, then don't forget to

:04:38. > :04:40.check out the brilliant Newsround website. See one of our top

:04:41. > :04:45.snowboarders in action ahead of the Winter Olympics. Find out the

:04:46. > :05:00.mystery of why birds fly in a V formation. And why Liam from 1D is

:05:01. > :05:01.saying sorry. That's all. We shall be back when you are in
