:00:23. > :00:24.Let's start with Tim Peake's epic spacewalk.

:00:25. > :00:26.Yesterday he became the first British person ever

:00:27. > :00:33.He spent a slightly shorter than planned five hours in space,

:00:34. > :00:36.after his fellow astronaut said he had water in his helmet.

:00:37. > :00:41.But they completed their main job, and replaced a faulty power unit.

:00:42. > :00:44.Migrants and refugees have been leaving their homes in places

:00:45. > :00:47.like Syria and Afghanistan, where there is fighting,

:00:48. > :00:52.Many travel great distances in search of a better life in Europe

:00:53. > :00:58.and some end up living in makeshift camps, like in Calais in France.

:00:59. > :01:00.And they hope to make their way to the UK.

:01:01. > :01:03.Now the French government have asked them to leave the camp.

:01:04. > :01:12.BBC Reporter Simon Jones is in Calais and sent this report.

:01:13. > :01:20.This is the area known as the jungle, it is home to around 4000

:01:21. > :01:24.people, including some children. They come from countries like

:01:25. > :01:28.Afghanistan and Sudan, because they feel they are not safe there, but it

:01:29. > :01:32.is close to a main road where some people try to get on lorries heading

:01:33. > :01:38.over to England. The authorities don't want that so want the people

:01:39. > :01:42.here to move. Some people are, you can see that happening here, the

:01:43. > :01:46.authorities say the living conditions aren't good enough here,

:01:47. > :01:50.it is a muddy and freezing cold, so they've set up a brand-new camp on

:01:51. > :01:56.the other side of the jungle. That is made up of shipping containers

:01:57. > :02:01.and can house up to 1500 people. The idea is people get out of the cold

:02:02. > :02:05.and the mud, the bug problem is, many people say they simply don't

:02:06. > :02:12.want to go there because there's a of community here and they feel the

:02:13. > :02:15.other shelter is a bit like a prison camp, so they are resisting that and

:02:16. > :02:18.some say they are refusing to move out of designated zone.

:02:28. > :02:30.A conversation group says they've seen an increase in the numbers

:02:31. > :02:32.of elephants and bigger groups roaming around.

:02:33. > :02:34.Companies cutting down trees for wood had been putting

:02:35. > :02:38.the animals' lives at risk, but these new numbers are hopeful.

:02:39. > :02:40.The streets of London have been dazzling with this

:02:41. > :02:45.It's the biggest to ever hit the capital, with 30 different light

:02:46. > :02:48.shows transforming some of the city's most famous buildings

:02:49. > :02:53.and transport into multi-coloured works of art.
