0:00:23 > 0:00:27First to the Philippines, a country in south-east Asia.

0:00:27 > 0:00:31A huge volcano there is erupting, but it's not a usual eruption.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34Whitney's been finding out more.

0:00:34 > 0:00:39This is Mount Mayon, the most active volcano in the Philippines.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45is called a quiet eruption.

0:00:45 > 0:00:46There is no big explosion.

0:00:46 > 0:00:50Instead, the lava is flowing out slowly and quietly.

0:00:50 > 0:00:54It's still dangerous but people don't always realise it

0:00:54 > 0:00:57because it's not as dramatic,

0:00:57 > 0:01:01so even though 15,000 people living nearby have left their homes,

0:01:01 > 0:01:03lots of other people still haven't.

0:01:03 > 0:01:08The volcano erupted 50 times in the last 500 years

0:01:08 > 0:01:12and lies in what is known as the Ring of Fire.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14That's an area around the Pacific Ocean where earthquakes

0:01:14 > 0:01:18and volcano eruptions are common.

0:01:18 > 0:01:22But now the authorities believe things are about to get worse.

0:01:22 > 0:01:27It's expected to change from a quiet eruption to an explosive one.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29If that happens, no one will be allowed

0:01:29 > 0:01:34to stay in the area until the danger has passed.

0:01:34 > 0:01:37Now when you think of racing drivers who are the names

0:01:37 > 0:01:38that spring to mind?

0:01:38 > 0:01:41Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso maybe?

0:01:41 > 0:01:43One thing these guys all have in common

0:01:43 > 0:01:45is that they're, well, guys,

0:01:45 > 0:01:48but Newsround recently went to catch up with one woman who's

0:01:48 > 0:01:52looking to change that.

0:02:04 > 0:02:08and now she's racing in Formula 3.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10So, what is she doing today?

0:02:10 > 0:02:13Taking me for a drive, of course.

0:02:13 > 0:02:14Jamie, I'm really scared.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16Am I going to be all right?

0:02:38 > 0:02:39which is really cool.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42Yeah, coming out onto the circuit now.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Oh, my gosh!

0:02:44 > 0:02:46It's so fast!

0:02:46 > 0:02:50How did you realise you had a passion for racing?

0:02:50 > 0:02:55I guess before, I didn't really follow motorsport that much.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58So I didn't really know much about it, but as soon

0:02:58 > 0:03:00as I first got in a go-kart,

0:03:00 > 0:03:03it was like, pretty much, that was me done.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05That's exactly what I wanted to do.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07Oh, I love this.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10What would it be like if you got into Formula 1?

0:03:10 > 0:03:12I think an absolute dream come true, really.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15It's what you always work for, it's what I think

0:03:15 > 0:03:19I really want to achieve, it is what sets the bar

0:03:19 > 0:03:20for every young driver.

0:03:20 > 0:03:21You want to be there,

0:03:21 > 0:03:23you want to be racing against the greats.

0:03:23 > 0:03:27You want to be the best in the world.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30Do you want me to do a faster lap, or...?

0:03:30 > 0:03:31Yeah, go on then.

0:03:31 > 0:03:32OK.

0:03:32 > 0:03:38This is so fast!

0:03:51 > 0:03:53How do you get rid of that?

0:03:53 > 0:03:54You don't.

0:03:54 > 0:03:55You just have it for life.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57You are such an amazing driver.

0:03:57 > 0:03:59Why do you think it's so male-dominated, this sport,

0:03:59 > 0:04:02and do you think it can change in the future?

0:04:02 > 0:04:03Yeah, I'm really hoping it can change.

0:04:03 > 0:04:06Obviously, there aren't that many women involved in the sport

0:04:06 > 0:04:08at the moment, but when people realise that

0:04:08 > 0:04:11women can be involved, women can be just as good as the men

0:04:11 > 0:04:19if not better in my opinion, I'm hoping more women get involved.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23On your marks, set, go!

0:04:23 > 0:04:25Now you may have tried to run really fast at your last
