:00:38. > :00:41.In September 2014, I suffered from extreme hydrocephalus,

:00:42. > :00:45.which means a build-up of fluid in the brain.

:00:46. > :00:51.The op was a success and to help him recover,

:00:52. > :00:55.he has to have regular brain scans to check that all is good.

:00:56. > :00:57.The scanning machine can be quite a scary experience

:00:58. > :01:08.The scanner itself can take up to an hour.

:01:09. > :01:11.You have to stay incredibly still in a small space and once

:01:12. > :01:13.the scanner actually starts, it's incredibly loud.

:02:02. > :02:07.This is the MRI scan we are going to use today.

:02:08. > :02:10.The app uses panoramic 360 degree videos, taken inside the scanner,

:02:11. > :02:13.giving the complete MRI experience of the scan.

:02:14. > :02:19.I was really interested in virtual reality.

:02:20. > :02:22.I had a 360 degree camera for Christmas and I thought maybe

:02:23. > :02:25.I can take some images from inside the scanner to allow

:02:26. > :02:27.the child to experience a scan virtual reality beforehand

:02:28. > :02:30.to prepare them for the scan, so it is not so scary

:02:31. > :02:40.The best way to cope with it, I think, is to close your eyes.

:02:41. > :02:48.Hopefully, this app will really help and just don't worry about it.

:03:12. > :03:14.COMMENTATOR: Sanchez on the follow-up!
