:01:14. > :01:16.others are finding different uses for it, such as helping kids

:01:17. > :01:18.who need to go into hospital for special scans to relax.

:01:19. > :01:22.Ten-year-old Matthew is back in hospital.

:01:23. > :01:25.In September 2014, I suffered from extreme hydrocephalus,

:01:26. > :01:28.which means a build-up of fluid in the brain.

:01:29. > :01:36.The op was a success and to help him recover,

:01:37. > :01:46.he has to have regular brain scans to check that all is good.

:01:47. > :01:48.Being in ascanning machine can be quite a scary experience

:01:49. > :01:53.The scan itself can take up to an hour.

:01:54. > :01:56.You have to stay incredibly still in a small space and once

:01:57. > :01:57.the scanner actually starts, it's incredibly loud.

:01:58. > :02:00.Is everything OK in there, Matthew? Yeah, all fine.

:02:01. > :02:05.Now, I feel OK because I have had it a few times now.

:02:06. > :02:10.The first time I remember, I was thinking to myself,

:02:11. > :02:15.Because no-one had showed me it but in the end,

:02:16. > :02:27.MRIs can help doctors find out if a person has any problems

:02:28. > :02:29.using strong magnets and radio waves producing detailed images

:02:30. > :02:38.Experts at Kings College Hospital have come up with a way to prepare

:02:39. > :02:40.children by copying an MRI scan with this app

:02:41. > :02:46.Matthew is one of the kids helping the doctors

:02:47. > :02:50.This is the MRI scan we are going to use today.

:02:51. > :02:55.The app uses panoramic 360-degree videos, taken inside the scanner,

:02:56. > :03:00.giving the complete MRI experience of the scan.

:03:01. > :03:05.I was really interested in virtual reality.

:03:06. > :03:08.I had a 360-degree camera for Christmas and I thought

:03:09. > :03:11.maybe I can take some images from inside the scanner to allow

:03:12. > :03:15.the child to experience a scan virtual reality beforehand

:03:16. > :03:18.to prepare them for the scan, so it is not so scary

:03:19. > :03:25.The best way to cope with it, I think, is to close your eyes.

:03:26. > :03:36.Hopefully, this app will really help and just don't worry about it.

:04:35. > :04:37.These four pups at Newquay Zoo are learning how to swim.

:04:38. > :04:39.The Asian short-clawed otters are getting some lessons

:04:40. > :04:46.I think they're doing pretty swimmingly!
