:00:29. > :00:31.are coming out of retirement to help scientists investigate why whales

:00:32. > :00:36.Researchers from America think panicked whales dive away

:00:37. > :00:41.from sonar and ship noises, causing them to drift off course

:00:42. > :00:44.The super-clever dolphins are helping researchers

:00:45. > :00:50.to understand why the sounds are so off putting.

:00:51. > :00:53.Now, I love my gadgets and so does everyone at Newsround HQ,

:00:54. > :00:56.so we went to have a look at some of the latest and best

:00:57. > :01:12.inventions at the Wearable Technology Show in London.

:01:13. > :01:17.And what it does is it translates sign language to text that is

:01:18. > :01:21.displayed on the small screen, and speech that is

:01:22. > :01:23.spoken out through this small speaker.

:01:24. > :01:26.So as I sign, you're hearing what I'm saying

:01:27. > :01:34.So, this is a toy and game, you use your mobile

:01:35. > :01:43.phone or a tablet to bring them all to life using augmented reality.

:01:44. > :01:45.This is a free to use mobile app that young surgeons who

:01:46. > :01:50.are learning how to operate can use anywhere, any time.

:01:51. > :01:53.And it allows them to practice on a fake patient,

:01:54. > :01:59.So, with this, we can create interactive clothing, you can

:02:00. > :02:02.You can draw anything you like and it lasts

:02:03. > :02:06.for five to ten minutes before it fades away.

:02:07. > :02:09.If you're eating your breakfast now and you drop something on the floor,

:02:10. > :02:15.Well, now scientists say that might be OK - if you're quick!

:02:16. > :02:20.Have you ever picked up food from the floor and eaten it?

:02:21. > :02:36.Well, I need to get some honest answers here.

:02:37. > :02:38.So apparently some scientists are now

:02:39. > :02:40.saying it might not be so bad for you.

:02:41. > :02:46.It's the so-called five second rule, but hold up, there's loads of

:02:47. > :02:49.things you need to think about before you start telling your

:02:50. > :02:55.brother or sister to eat stuff from the floor.

:02:56. > :02:58.If it's sticky or sweet, probably worth giving it a miss.

:02:59. > :03:01.If it's pasta, biscuits or dried toast, then

:03:02. > :03:05.Have you ever eaten anything off the floor before?

:03:06. > :03:18.If you could clearly clean it off, and

:03:19. > :03:23.it obviously weren't dirty anymore, then probably.

:03:24. > :03:34.If I drop something, I wouldn't eat it.

:03:35. > :03:46.But I still don't think it's really hygienic.

:03:47. > :03:49.What would you say to those scientist who come up with

:03:50. > :03:58.I would go like, yes, you need to take another year on that.

:03:59. > :04:00.Mr scientist, I don't accept your five

:04:01. > :04:03.I don't accept your four second rule.

:04:04. > :04:05.And I don't accept your three second rule.

:04:06. > :04:07.And I don't accept your two second rule or one
