0:01:04 > 0:01:07awarded by the video assistant referee.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09It was called in the FA Cup game between Leicester City

0:01:09 > 0:01:12and Fleetwood Town last night.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14In the new technology, an assistant ref can watch the game

0:01:14 > 0:01:18on a screen and speak to the referee on the pitch through a headset

0:01:18 > 0:01:21to give advice about decisions.

0:01:28 > 0:01:30Now, kids across Japan are getting to choose a very,

0:01:30 > 0:01:32very important part

0:01:32 > 0:01:36of the next Olympic Games that will be hosted in their country.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39Martin's been finding exactly what...

0:01:39 > 0:01:42What do most big sporting events have in common?

0:01:42 > 0:01:45Amazing athletes, superb sports?

0:01:45 > 0:01:47Well, yes.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50But also mascots, of course.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00in their home country.

0:02:00 > 0:02:02So who is in the running?

0:02:02 > 0:02:05Could these be the next Olympic and Paralympic mascots,

0:02:05 > 0:02:08representing tradition and the cutting-edge tech that

0:02:08 > 0:02:11Japan is famous for?

0:02:11 > 0:02:16Or perhaps this Olympic hopeful, based on a cat in a box,

0:02:16 > 0:02:20partnered up with this Paralympic hopeful based on a dog?

0:02:20 > 0:02:25And last but not least, this fox and raccoon, red and white,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27just like the Japanese flag.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29TRANSLATION: I like the character's energetic pose

0:02:29 > 0:02:32with its clenched fist.

0:02:32 > 0:02:34I like the smiling face of the character,

0:02:34 > 0:02:36which I think is cute.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38His chubby cheeks are so cute.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40Schools across Japan have got until mid-February

0:02:40 > 0:02:42to cast their votes.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45The Olympics and the Paralympics are amongst the biggest

0:02:56 > 0:02:57Well, it's looking for a new home.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00The 17-metre long fossil belonged to an Atlasaurus some

0:03:00 > 0:03:05165 million years ago.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07It's being auctioned in Mexico, and it's hoped it will fetch

0:03:07 > 0:03:09thousands of pounds.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11Some of the money raised will be spent on rebuilding schools

0:03:11 > 0:03:14in Mexico that were damaged by two earthquakes that stuck

0:03:14 > 0:03:16the area last year.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19Next, to the Philippines, a country in south-east Asia.

0:03:19 > 0:03:23A huge volcano there is erupting - but it's not a usual eruption.

0:03:23 > 0:03:29Whitney's been finding out more.

0:03:29 > 0:03:37This is the most active volcano in the Philippines.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41Scientists say what is happening at the moment is called quiet eruption.

0:03:41 > 0:03:46There is no big explosion, instead the lover is flowing out slowly and

0:03:46 > 0:03:52quietly. It is still dangerous, but people do not always realise it

0:03:52 > 0:03:56because it is not as dramatic. So even though 15,000 people living

0:03:56 > 0:04:00nearby have left their homes, lots of other people still have not. The

0:04:00 > 0:04:06volcano erupted 50 times in the last 500 years, and lies in what is known

0:04:06 > 0:04:12as the ring of fire. That is an area around the Pacific Ocean where

0:04:12 > 0:04:16earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are common. But now the authorities

0:04:16 > 0:04:21believe things are about to get worse. It is expected to change from

0:04:21 > 0:04:25a quiet eruption to an explosive one. If that happens, no one will be

0:04:25 > 0:04:29allowed to stay in the area until the danger has passed.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32You've probably heard of twins or triplets -

0:04:32 > 0:04:33but how about sextuplets?

0:04:33 > 0:04:36Well, check out these six rare white tiger cubs -

0:04:36 > 0:04:38all brothers and sisters.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41This was the first time the public got a glimpse of them

0:04:41 > 0:04:44a wildlife park in China.

0:04:44 > 0:04:49Looks like their mum will have her work cut out.

0:04:49 > 0:04:51That's all we've got time for now.

0:04:51 > 0:04:54Newsround's back in 40 minutes.
