0:00:04 > 0:00:05Hi, I'm Ricky with Sunday's Newsround.

0:00:05 > 0:00:08Coming up in the next few minutes...

0:00:08 > 0:00:15The fake birds being used to attract puffins back to the Isle of Man.

0:00:15 > 0:00:17And we take a look at the new Jungle Book film.

0:00:27 > 0:00:29You're with Newsround this Sunday afternoon.

0:00:29 > 0:00:29First, a state of emergency has been declared in parts of the South

0:00:32 > 0:00:34American country of Ecuador.

0:00:34 > 0:00:35It's because of a powerful earthquake

0:00:35 > 0:00:38in the country last night.

0:00:38 > 0:00:40At least 77 people have been killed.

0:00:40 > 0:00:44The quake is the country's largest since in almost 30 years.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47Emergency services are working hard to help hundreds of people

0:00:47 > 0:00:49who have been injured.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54The remains of two First World War German destroyers have been found

0:00:54 > 0:00:57under the sea near Portsmouth in the south of England.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00This 30 metre long destroyer has been found lying just 10 metres

0:01:00 > 0:01:05from the remains of a second German ship from the Great War.

0:01:05 > 0:01:07Using 3D imagery, experts were able to identify precisely which ships

0:01:07 > 0:01:10they are and match them with naval records from a battle

0:01:10 > 0:01:15almost 100 years ago.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22Hundreds of model puffins are being used to attract the real

0:01:22 > 0:01:24birds back to the Isle of Man.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27Life-like fake birds and a sound system playing puffin calls have

0:01:27 > 0:01:30been placed on cliffs on a small island off the coast to encourage

0:01:30 > 0:01:32the birds to breed there.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35Look closely and there's something fishy about this, er,

0:01:35 > 0:01:38well, puffin, actually.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40We're planting puffins.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43The trust has set up a project to encourage puffins to nest back

0:01:43 > 0:01:46here, so today we're setting up the sound system

0:01:46 > 0:01:50and deploying the decoy puffins.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52It's hoped these models will help persuade the real

0:01:52 > 0:01:54thing to nest here.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57Puffins were last here back in the 1980s and were scared off

0:01:57 > 0:02:02because of rats eating their eggs and spreading disease.

0:02:02 > 0:02:05It's not the first time this tactic has been tried and tested.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08Two years ago we reported on a similar trial on Ramsey Island

0:02:08 > 0:02:10in Wales, where puffins were being seen on the far rocky

0:02:10 > 0:02:15outreaches of the island.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18They managed to introduce puffins after about a four or five years,

0:02:18 > 0:02:21having never had puffins breed there before, so it seemed a great

0:02:21 > 0:02:26way to see if we could get them back here.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30So the team here have arrived to set up a new colony on an island that's

0:02:30 > 0:02:31only accessible by boat.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34This is a long-term project, the results of which we are unlikely

0:02:34 > 0:02:37to see straightaway.

0:02:37 > 0:02:40But if these phoney puffins do their bit, this is hopefully

0:02:40 > 0:02:43what we will see on the grassy clifftops in years to come.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49Footy now and Aston Villa are the first club to be relegated

0:02:49 > 0:02:52from the Premier League this season.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55Villa suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford

0:02:55 > 0:02:57thanks to this strike from Marcus Rashford.

0:02:57 > 0:02:59Elsewhere Sunderland closed the gap on relegation rivals Norwich

0:02:59 > 0:03:02with a 3-0 win against the Canaries.

0:03:02 > 0:03:06And at the top of the table, Manchester City leapfrogged Arsenal

0:03:06 > 0:03:09into third spot with a 3-0 win against Chelsea courtesy of a hat

0:03:09 > 0:03:13trick from Sergio Aguero.

0:03:13 > 0:03:17Now get ready to hang with the King of the Swingers and learn

0:03:17 > 0:03:20about the Bare Necessities of Life, because the Jungle Book is back.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22But this time the cartoon classic has been brought

0:03:22 > 0:03:24to life with live action.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27I went to meet the 12-year-old actor who plays Mowgli.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36Now, you're 12 years old, you were ten when you started

0:03:36 > 0:03:37to film the Jungle Book.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Being here in the UK, are you here with your family?

0:03:40 > 0:03:41We just saw your dad outside.

0:03:41 > 0:03:42Are you enjoying London?

0:03:42 > 0:03:43Mmm-hmm.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46I'm here with my mum and dad, my sister's in college.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48And you went on the London Eye yesterday?

0:03:48 > 0:03:49Mmm-hmm.

0:03:49 > 0:03:50What was that like?

0:03:50 > 0:03:51Lots of fun, it was crazy.

0:03:51 > 0:03:55Like, when we were all the way on top I took a Panorama,

0:03:55 > 0:03:59all I got was, like, the guys in front of me.

0:03:59 > 0:04:01It was kind of funny.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Now, we've been asking for kids to send in questions all week...

0:04:04 > 0:04:05Oh, that's cool.

0:04:05 > 0:04:06And we've got loads.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08So I'm going to kick off with Emily, who's nine.

0:04:08 > 0:04:09She's from Stevenage.

0:04:09 > 0:04:11She says, "Did you like getting muddy on set?"

0:04:11 > 0:04:13That was my worst favourite part, actually.

0:04:13 > 0:04:14Was it?

0:04:14 > 0:04:15Yes.

0:04:15 > 0:04:16Good job, Emily!

0:04:16 > 0:04:19It would dry all over my skin and they would have to spritz it

0:04:19 > 0:04:23with cold water for it to get all, like, muddy again, and it was really

0:04:23 > 0:04:24itchy and disgusting.

0:04:24 > 0:04:25I didn't like it at all.

0:04:25 > 0:04:27Julia says, "What's it like acting when the other

0:04:27 > 0:04:28characters are all animated?"

0:04:28 > 0:04:30Because there's a lot of green screen,

0:04:30 > 0:04:31isn't there?

0:04:31 > 0:04:32Yes.

0:04:32 > 0:04:34You don't actually get to act

0:04:34 > 0:04:35with these animals?

0:04:35 > 0:04:35Yes.

0:04:35 > 0:04:38So it was actually just puppets that I was interacting with,

0:04:38 > 0:04:40and that made it very easy for me.

0:04:40 > 0:04:42At least it wasn't like nothing or a tennis ball.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44And so that made it, like, very...

0:04:44 > 0:04:45And it was actually fun.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47Talking to puppets and stuff all day.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49Did the puppets look, like, cool and realistic?

0:04:49 > 0:04:50Yeah, they did.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53And I just, like, imagined that it was a bear or

0:04:53 > 0:04:54a panther or a tiger.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56Rebecca, who is 12, says, "What was the most amazing

0:04:56 > 0:04:58thing about filming the new Jungle Book film?"

0:04:58 > 0:04:59Apart from the mud!

0:04:59 > 0:05:02I really liked going in the water tank with Baloo,

0:05:02 > 0:05:04because it was a real water tank and I was actually

0:05:04 > 0:05:06swimming, and it was cool.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08It was just a lump of Styrofoam with the brown carpet

0:05:08 > 0:05:10on top that I was, just, like, swimming with.

0:05:10 > 0:05:12And John got into the water...

0:05:12 > 0:05:13You had to stroke the brown carpet?

0:05:13 > 0:05:14Yeah!

0:05:14 > 0:05:17And John got into the water and there's this one scene

0:05:17 > 0:05:20when Baloo splashes me, so he had a hose in his back pocket

0:05:20 > 0:05:24and just took me out and hosed me, and I didn't know he was going to do

0:05:24 > 0:05:27that, and I got the perfect reaction and they used

0:05:27 > 0:05:28that in the film.

0:05:28 > 0:05:29So cool.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31Well, listen, thank you very much for talking to Newsround.

0:05:31 > 0:05:32It's lovely to meet you.

0:05:32 > 0:05:33Awesome.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35And wrapping up the sport, how about the world's

0:05:35 > 0:05:36fastest hole in golf?

0:05:39 > 0:05:41France's team of Raphael Jacquelin, Alex Levy, Gregory Havret

0:05:41 > 0:05:45and Romain Wattel set a new world record of 34.8 seconds to complete

0:05:45 > 0:05:53a 500-yard hole as a relay.

0:05:53 > 0:05:58That's all from me, Newsround's back around 2:30pm.

0:05:58 > 0:05:58See

0:05:58 > 0:05:59See you

0:05:59 > 0:06:02See you then.
