0:00:03 > 0:00:04Morning, guys.

0:00:04 > 0:00:05It's Thursday, I'm Ricky

0:00:05 > 0:00:06and this is Newsround.

0:00:06 > 0:00:07Coming up.

0:00:07 > 0:00:13The new dino discovery that's got scientists excited.

0:00:13 > 0:00:18Could new homes help hedgehogs?

0:00:25 > 0:00:27First up today, a big dino discovery.

0:00:27 > 0:00:29What do you get

0:00:29 > 0:00:33when you cross a plant-eating dino with a meat-eating one?

0:00:33 > 0:00:37Here's Ayshah?

0:00:38 > 0:00:41You get a Frankenstein dinosaur.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44Seriously, it's called that.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46Well, it's one of the names.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49It also goes by the name of Chilesaurus.

0:00:49 > 0:00:51No, not hot chilli that you put in a kebab!

0:00:51 > 0:00:56# Feeling hot, hot, hot. #

0:00:56 > 0:00:58It's named after where it was found, in the mountains

0:00:58 > 0:01:01of Chile in South America.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04It was something scientists had never seen before.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06Here's BBC reporter Pallab Ghosh.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09This animal had a real mix of features from different

0:01:09 > 0:01:11groups of dinosaurs.

0:01:11 > 0:01:13Its hip bones were like those of plant eaters,

0:01:13 > 0:01:16such as the Stegosaurus.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19And its arms and bodies were like those of meat eaters,

0:01:19 > 0:01:22such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24And so Chilesaurus became known as a Frankenstein dinosaur.

0:01:24 > 0:01:29And so Chilesaurus became known as a Frankenstein dinosaur.

0:01:29 > 0:01:33And after two years, British scientists think they've

0:01:33 > 0:01:36solved the mystery of who this dino really is and how it fits

0:01:36 > 0:01:39into the dinosaur family.

0:01:39 > 0:01:41Chilesaurus has been revealed to be the missing link

0:01:41 > 0:01:43between one group of dinosaurs, which include things

0:01:43 > 0:01:46like Stegosaurus and triceratops, and another group of dinosaurs

0:01:46 > 0:01:50which includes things like Tyrannosaurus Rex.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53It really is the missing piece of the puzzle.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55And the dino Chile came first.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58Chilesaurus is there at the beginning of these big splits

0:01:58 > 0:02:01and hopefully by understanding more about biology it will tell us

0:02:01 > 0:02:03what the kinds of driving factors leading to those big splits

0:02:03 > 0:02:05might have been.

0:02:05 > 0:02:10Chilesaurus or Frankenstein, whatever you'd like to call it,

0:02:10 > 0:02:13has a pretty funny name, but it's just solved a dino dilemma

0:02:13 > 0:02:17that's puzzled scientists for years and might unlock more dino

0:02:17 > 0:02:22discoveries in the future.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25OK, let's get a couple of quick sports stories for you.

0:02:25 > 0:02:28It was an epic night at Celtic Park, as the Scottish

0:02:28 > 0:02:31champions thrashed their opponents Astana of Kazakhstan

0:02:31 > 0:02:345-0 in the first leg of their Champions League match.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37Two Scott Sinclair goals helped them to an easy win.

0:02:37 > 0:02:40The next leg is next week.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42And England and Ireland can reach the semifinals of

0:02:42 > 0:02:44the Women's Rugby World Cup later.

0:02:44 > 0:02:46England take on USA, knowing a win would mean

0:02:46 > 0:02:49they qualify for the last four, while Ireland have to beat

0:02:49 > 0:02:55France to make the semis.

0:02:55 > 0:02:59Now to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo where 1,500 performers put

0:02:59 > 0:03:03on a spectacular show in the presence of royalty.

0:03:03 > 0:03:06The Prince of Wales and his son the Duke of Cambridge

0:03:06 > 0:03:11attended the event at Edinburgh Castle last night.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Now, from what I remember, starting at a new school is one

0:03:14 > 0:03:15of the most exciting things you'll do.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18But it can also be nerve-wracking.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21Some of you will be worrying about what might happen there.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23Like bullying.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25We met up with one boy, who's experienced both sides

0:03:25 > 0:03:30of school and is looking forward to going back.

0:03:30 > 0:03:35Hi, my name is Alexander.

0:03:35 > 0:03:38I'm 11 years old and I enjoy acting, playing my music,

0:03:38 > 0:03:42playing tennis and rugby and playing with my dog.

0:03:42 > 0:03:45I'm really looking forward to going back to school.

0:03:45 > 0:03:51And I cannot wait.

0:03:51 > 0:03:56Unfortunately, a few years ago I was bullied and I was called very

0:03:56 > 0:04:02rude names and rumours were being spread about me.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05And this made me feel really sad and made me feel worried

0:04:05 > 0:04:10about what was going to happen the next day.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13Then I was so fed up with what was happening,

0:04:13 > 0:04:16I decided to enter a competition where I would write

0:04:16 > 0:04:21a letter to the bully telling them how I felt.

0:04:21 > 0:04:25I won first prize.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29After I wrote the letter, I felt like I'd got something

0:04:29 > 0:04:33off my chest because I hadn't spoken completely outright

0:04:33 > 0:04:37about how I felt beforehand.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41Now I feel I have come out a much more confident person and I think

0:04:41 > 0:04:51the issues I've had have helped to shape my independence

0:04:53 > 0:04:55and now that I'm an anti-bullying Ambassador I can help people

0:04:55 > 0:04:58and if someone comes up to me and says that they feel

0:04:58 > 0:05:01someone is being to them, then I know how they feel.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Remember to tell someone you trust about what's going on.

0:05:03 > 0:05:07It really helps that someone else knows.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11Remember, that it's not your fault that someone is being mean to you.

0:05:11 > 0:05:17This year I'm looking forward to our school play and our school

0:05:17 > 0:05:21competitions because they are really crazy and they are

0:05:21 > 0:05:27really fun every year.

0:05:27 > 0:05:30And if bullying is something you are worried about,

0:05:30 > 0:05:32remember to talk to an adult and there's loads of help

0:05:32 > 0:05:35and advice at Newsround online.

0:05:35 > 0:05:38Last up, animal experts are trying to get us to think more

0:05:38 > 0:05:40about our spikey friends, hedgehogs.

0:05:40 > 0:05:43Their numbers have been going down in recent years and a project called

0:05:43 > 0:05:47Hedgehog Street wants to find out if more of us building hedgehog

0:05:47 > 0:05:51houses could help to protect them.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53That's all from me.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56Newsround's back right at 4.20.

0:05:56 > 0:05:59Bye!

0:06:08 > 0:06:11Hey, Ozzy, did you hear the news? No, man. What's up?

0:06:11 > 0:06:13Miss Amanda isn't going to be our dance teacher any more.
