:00:34. > :00:36.will be celebrating with this Olympic parade. They'll be

:00:37. > :00:40.travelling to this stage and will be led by a massive model of a lion in

:00:41. > :00:44.red, blue and white. Earlier today, some of the stars had been talking

:00:45. > :00:52.about how whited they are about this parade. -- how excited they are.

:00:53. > :00:55.Watch this. Very excited after Beijing, London and Rio now. To come

:00:56. > :00:59.to Manchester and then to London tomorrow to thank the people that

:01:00. > :01:03.supported us through the summer of the Olympics and Paralympics is

:01:04. > :01:09.going to be exciting. When I got off the plane and saw the people with

:01:10. > :01:14.placards, it's been amazing ever since. I want to thank everybody for

:01:15. > :01:19.the support. Sacrificed a lot of time and training to win the medals

:01:20. > :01:24.while we were away. The come back and see you guys cheering and

:01:25. > :01:29.smiling away, it's an honour for us. Really looking forward to it. So

:01:30. > :01:33.great to be back with everyone and to celebrate what we have achieved.

:01:34. > :01:38.And there are a lot of achievements to celebrate. Both Olympians and

:01:39. > :01:43.paralympians did better than 2012, smashed the medal totals and made it

:01:44. > :01:47.to second in the leaderboard. Let's remind ourselves of some of the best

:01:48. > :01:50.bits. It was a massive summer for our Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

:01:51. > :01:54.Years of training paid off and they smashed it. It started in the

:01:55. > :02:02.swimming where Adam Peaty got the first gold for Team GB. Medal mania

:02:03. > :02:07.had begun. Max Whitlock brought home two golds, six golds were won in the

:02:08. > :02:11.velodrome with Laura Trott leading the way, Mo Farah got to

:02:12. > :02:16.double-double and Nicola Adams defended her title. The hockey team

:02:17. > :02:20.went into the record books. Team GB aced into second place in the medal

:02:21. > :02:26.table. It didn't stop there. From day one, the medals continued to

:02:27. > :02:33.roll in. Kadeena Cox got two golds in two sports. 15-year-old Ellie

:02:34. > :02:38.Robinson stormed to victory in the S Dr 650 metre butterfly. Johnny

:02:39. > :02:45.peacock held on to his title and Hannah Cockroft added to the tally.

:02:46. > :02:47.Dame Sarah storey became the most successful British female

:02:48. > :02:52.paralympian ever after winning three golds. Paralympics GB doubled the

:02:53. > :02:58.golds won four years ago and also finished second in the medal table.

:02:59. > :03:01.It's just started to rain here in Manchester city centre but everyone

:03:02. > :03:04.is still super excited. Crowds have started to arrive here and I've got

:03:05. > :03:16.some of the viewers with me. Who are you looking forward to seeing and

:03:17. > :03:25.why? Joseph? I'm look forward to seeing Claudia, the gymnast. What

:03:26. > :03:32.about you? The weightlifter that can lift really big weights. Has this

:03:33. > :03:36.summer inspired you? It's inspired me because the Olympian who is 're

:03:37. > :03:40.disadvantaged push themselveses to the limits. They start from no Boro

:03:41. > :03:45.and they never give up. It's amazing to see what they can achieve. It

:03:46. > :03:52.certainly is, how about you two, who are you looking forward to seeing?

:03:53. > :03:57.Jason Kenny. He's given up all his time to go to Rio and win medals.

:04:09. > :04:13.riding? Well, there's a lot of determination in all the people who

:04:14. > :04:19.participate and they keep getting up and going, even if they hadn't done

:04:20. > :04:23.well in the previous Olympics. How about you Ruby, how have you been

:04:24. > :04:26.inspired? It inspires you to do the sport they've done or any other

:04:27. > :04:29.sports in the Olympics and Paralympics.

:04:30. > :04:35.Nice one. Of course this is all happening in your hometown. What's

:04:36. > :04:40.that like? It's amazing, incredible, a dream come true. We have a city

:04:41. > :04:44.that's actually been picked to be hosted here, I'm sure we are very

:04:45. > :04:49.lucky to have it here in Manchester where we live, and I'm sure many

:04:50. > :04:54.people will give up many things to come here. Thank you so much, that's
