:00:22. > :00:25.Evening. Ricky here with Thursday's Newsround. Sit back, because we've

:00:25. > :00:33.got a packed programme for you, On the way. You might have seen him

:00:33. > :00:38.online. Now we've got even more of the world's best surfing dog.

:00:38. > :00:41.I'm live in Manchester ahead of the Children in Need Rocks concert.

:00:41. > :00:44.But first tonight, the massive row over one of these - a handshake.

:00:44. > :00:47.According to the most powerful man in the footballing world, it's the

:00:47. > :00:50.best way to sort out racist abuse on the pitch. But lots of the

:00:50. > :00:53.game's biggest stars are furious with FIFA boss, Sepp Blatter. They

:00:53. > :01:00.want him to quit, saying his comments send out totally the wrong

:01:00. > :01:02.message about stamping out racism in football. Racism in football is

:01:02. > :01:04.big news right now. England captain John Terry's being

:01:04. > :01:12.investigated for apparently making a racist comment towards QPR's

:01:12. > :01:14.Anton Ferdinand during a match. He denies it. And just last night, the

:01:14. > :01:20.FA charged Liverpool star Luis Suarez with racially abusing

:01:20. > :01:23.Manchester United's Patrice Evra. But Suarez says he's innocent.

:01:23. > :01:31.famous footballers have been cueing up to slam Sepp Blatter's idea to

:01:31. > :01:35.just shake hands over racist abuse. Rio Ferdinand tweeted the man

:01:35. > :01:40.himself. He said, "I am astonished. I feel stupid for thinking that

:01:40. > :01:42.football was taking a leading role against racism." Blackburn striker

:01:42. > :01:47.Jason Roberts said, "I am absolutely disgusted, lost for

:01:47. > :01:55.words. I am absolutely fuming." Strictly Come Dancing star and ex-

:01:55. > :01:58.player Robbie Savage called for his head. "What planet is that guy on?

:01:58. > :02:03.That's a shocking statement from the leader of world football. For

:02:03. > :02:05.me, Blatter should go. Blatter out". Strong stuff, and with me on the

:02:05. > :02:09.sofa is former Premier League star Mark Bright. Mark, Sepp Blatter's

:02:09. > :02:12.comments have made a lot of people angry. He says he's been misquoted,

:02:12. > :02:14.but what do you think? He hasn't been misquoted. We have all seen

:02:14. > :02:18.the interview. We have heard it. He said during 90 minutes players can

:02:18. > :02:22.say what they want to each other as long as at the end they shake hands,

:02:22. > :02:28.and everything is good. That's not good. You can't racially abuse

:02:28. > :02:32.someone on the field. You're saying he's sending out a message to

:02:32. > :02:36.children too. Absolutely. He's the top of the football body. You can

:02:36. > :02:42.say what you want to another child while the game is going on, but at

:02:42. > :02:48.the end, just shake hands. No. In this country, it's an offence to

:02:48. > :02:53.racially abuse someone on the pitch. Have you had abuse on the pitch?

:02:53. > :02:57.had it every other week when we played from fans, from opponents.

:02:57. > :03:02.That's nearly been stopped. The France so much better now. We have

:03:02. > :03:05.all embraced the Kick Racism out of Football campaign. That's why it's

:03:05. > :03:09.so much better. Thanks for coming Let's get you some backstage access

:03:09. > :03:13.to what's going to be one of the best gigs of the year, Children in

:03:13. > :03:16.Need Rocks. In the next couple of hours, some of the biggest names in

:03:16. > :03:20.music will be onstage in Manchester. But we didn't want to wait until

:03:20. > :03:30.then, so Leah's there right now. What's going on?

:03:30. > :03:36.

:03:36. > :03:44.Rehearsals are still going on. They started at midday with Gary Barlow

:03:44. > :03:50.on stage running through songs. Lady GaGa had three costume changes.

:03:50. > :03:55.Then the JLS boys arrived. I spent the day tracking them down.

:03:55. > :03:58.It looks a bit messy on stage there, but in a few hours, some of the

:03:58. > :04:02.biggest popstars in the world will be performing to raise cash for

:04:03. > :04:07.Children in Need. # Poker face #

:04:07. > :04:10.The world-class line-up includes Lady GaGa, JLS and N-Dubz.

:04:10. > :04:14.Thousands of fans have travelled from all over the country, and

:04:14. > :04:19.these two came all the way from Scotland.

:04:19. > :04:24.We had to get up early, which wasn't very good. I was pretty

:04:24. > :04:32.excited, and I couldn't sleep last night. And all of this was made

:04:32. > :04:37.possible by one man, X Factor judge Gary Barlow. Very excited. I got to

:04:37. > :04:41.get inside and start work. We got the call from Gary, which was

:04:41. > :04:46.incredible to be asked by somebody like Gary to be involved tonight.

:04:46. > :04:51.It was amazing. The only way to get access to the stars was to hang

:04:51. > :04:54.around the VIP entrance. So listen. I have been told the celebrities

:04:54. > :04:58.have arrived. They're here, but I have no access to the back-stage

:04:58. > :05:06.area, but I am going to give it a try for you guys.

:05:06. > :05:15.Can we just go back? No, there is no access backstage. Sorry. Dappy,

:05:15. > :05:19.it's Newsround. I can't get in. Can you sneak me in? Can I? Give me a

:05:19. > :05:23.hug first. Let me get my hair cut. As soon as

:05:23. > :05:29.I get my hair cut, I'm going to come back and do my best. Lovely. I

:05:29. > :05:39.am going to get in. Well, I'm sure Dappy will be coming

:05:39. > :05:39.

:05:39. > :05:49.to collect me very soon. We're like best of friends. The fun kicks off

:05:49. > :05:59.

:05:59. > :06:09.Nokia Lumia 800.00pm. It'll be on BBC One until 10.00pm.

:06:09. > :06:11.

:06:11. > :06:14.Back to you, Ricky! $NEWLINE Now, there are some stories that

:06:14. > :06:21.need lots of explaining. This next one doesn't. So here's one minute,

:06:21. > :06:26.20 seconds of a surfing dog. dog had swum right out into the

:06:26. > :06:32.surf and seemed pretty happy. I put her on the board, and she rode back

:06:32. > :06:37.in. From that point, I realised we had a surfing dog. Now she's an

:06:37. > :06:40.internet star with thousands of fans, but she's had to work hard at

:06:40. > :06:50.her talent. Here she is learning the basics.

:06:50. > :06:55.

:06:55. > :07:01.And after awhile, she was ready for OK. Not that big. Matt makes sure

:07:01. > :07:05.she's never out of her depth to keep her safe, and a doggy arm band

:07:05. > :07:10.would probably ruin her surf look, but Mango wants another surf

:07:10. > :07:16.challenge. Now she's mastered the Cornish waves, she's hoping to take

:07:16. > :07:24.place in a dog-surfing contest in the US. She just needs to save up

:07:24. > :07:29.Try asking your mum or dad to put this in your school lunch tomorrow.

:07:29. > :07:34.This is stilton mixed with real gold - no idea why, but it will

:07:34. > :07:37.cost 6 for a cracker-sized wedge. You're probably better sticking to

:07:37. > :07:42.cheddar, though, of course, other cheeses are available! That's it

:07:42. > :07:45.for tonight. And that's it for us in here. This is the last time

:07:45. > :07:50.we're broadcasting from this studio in London. From next week, we'll be

:07:50. > :07:53.coming live from our new home in Salford. Make sure you come with us.
