:00:00. > :00:11.Hi there, I'm Jenny, live with Newsround. Stick around as we have

:00:12. > :00:14.loads to tell you. First, UK Charity workers helping

:00:15. > :00:17.people in the Philippines say the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan

:00:18. > :00:22.shows that we need to do more to tackle climate change. They say the

:00:23. > :00:25.typhoon is an example of the sort of weather that could happen more often

:00:26. > :00:29.if the world doesn't take action. Not all scientists agree that events

:00:30. > :00:32.like this can be blamed on climate change. However, countries currently

:00:33. > :00:35.debating the issue at the United Nations climate talks are being

:00:36. > :00:37.urged to look at what has just happened.

:00:38. > :00:41.Meanwhile, vital aid is starting to trickle into the Philippines, as

:00:42. > :00:45.I've been finding out. Aid is finally getting through to

:00:46. > :00:48.the places worst affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Here in Tacloban, the Save

:00:49. > :00:51.the Children charity has been unloading basic supplies for people

:00:52. > :01:01.who have lost everything. Everybody is relieved they are here. It is

:01:02. > :01:06.clearly a race against time. It's now getting started. We wish it

:01:07. > :01:10.could have happened a week ago but it's been difficult. Supplies are

:01:11. > :01:14.coming from across the globe. This naval ship has been sent by the UK

:01:15. > :01:16.and is packed with emergency provisions. This aircraft carrier

:01:17. > :01:20.from America has brought 21 helicopters to drop aid to remote

:01:21. > :01:23.areas. Here people are living in a school. Marie-Ann told reporters

:01:24. > :01:32.that she and 19 family members lived here. This is the worst experience

:01:33. > :01:39.we've encountered, because it is the first time. We're still in full

:01:40. > :01:45.because our family is still complete. Our family members are

:01:46. > :01:48.safe. As a quarter of a million homes were destroyed, much more help

:01:49. > :01:51.is needed. 2.5 million people need food aid. At the port, goods from

:01:52. > :01:54.the Philippine government are now being unloaded. While some roads

:01:55. > :01:59.have been cleared to let aid through, there is still a lot of

:02:00. > :02:01.work to be done to get help to the people who need it.

:02:02. > :02:05.Next, over 30 million tonnes of litter are collected from our

:02:06. > :02:08.streets every year. But what they would look like if no one cleaned

:02:09. > :02:11.them at all? These pictures of streets in London show things would

:02:12. > :02:14.get pretty messy. Campaign group Keep Britain Tidy is trying to

:02:15. > :02:18.highlight the litter problem by getting councils up and down the

:02:19. > :02:22.country to sweep on just one side of the street this weekend.

:02:23. > :02:25.Now, if you've been on a school trip to a museum, you'll probably have

:02:26. > :02:28.seen lots of valuable art and antiques. But police say museums are

:02:29. > :02:32.being targeted by criminal gangs. Here's a look at a thief in action.

:02:33. > :02:37.He was captured on CCTV, smashing his way into a museum in Luton and

:02:38. > :02:39.stealing a jug worth ?750,000. Theft from museums and heritage centres

:02:40. > :02:51.totals more than ?300 million a year.

:02:52. > :02:55.Next, when you take the water out of a canal, what lurks beneath? Well,

:02:56. > :02:58.The famous Camden Lock in London has been completely drained for one week

:02:59. > :03:02.only. People will be able to climb down into the drained lock chamber

:03:03. > :03:06.and see the structure that dates back to 1818, which is usually full

:03:07. > :03:09.of water. It's all for a big restoration project by The Canal and

:03:10. > :03:13.River Trust to improve 100 locks in the UK. But it doesn't come cheap,

:03:14. > :03:16.costing over ?45 million in total. And what did they find when they

:03:17. > :03:22.drained the water? Well, no treasure. A few shopping trolleys

:03:23. > :03:25.and some old coins was all they got. Next - if you know anything about

:03:26. > :03:30.dogs, you'll know most of them enjoy a good walk. But for Wufra the dog

:03:31. > :03:34.here, a little walk turned into a bit of a nightmare when he got lost

:03:35. > :03:41.and was stranded. There is a happy ending though. Ayshah's got more.

:03:42. > :03:47.Wufra is taking it easy. After a scary few weeks, the four-year-old

:03:48. > :03:52.is glad to be warm and fed. His dog adventure went wrong when he went

:03:53. > :03:56.chasing a rabbit in the Yorkshire Dales and then became lost. He looks

:03:57. > :04:02.wonderful compared to how we looked three weeks ago. They think Wufra

:04:03. > :04:07.was stranded for a month in the hills with a broken leg and no food

:04:08. > :04:13.or water. Luckily, he was spotted by a walker who called a rescue team.

:04:14. > :04:23.He was in a really poor condition. He hadn't moved for many days. It

:04:24. > :04:28.was a sad thing to see. We wrapped in a blanket and put him in a bag.

:04:29. > :04:35.The easiest way to carry him was on a stretcher. The team aren't sure

:04:36. > :04:44.about his own, but he's found a new home with Helen, who loves stalks.

:04:45. > :04:50.-- dogs. It took him three weeks to be well enough to have the

:04:51. > :04:55.operation. So, a happy ending. I think he will think twice about

:04:56. > :04:58.catching rabbits in the future. Next - some great pictures of a

:04:59. > :05:02.balloon festival in Mexico. Hot air balloons of all different shapes and

:05:03. > :05:05.sizes filled the skyline at the Leon International Balloon Festival. It's

:05:06. > :05:08.been running for the past ten years and has been watched by nearly two

:05:09. > :05:11.million people. Finally, one for you Dr Who fans.

:05:12. > :05:15.Who has been your favourite Doctor of all time? Over the years, 11

:05:16. > :05:19.different actors have played the Time Lord. But Scottish actor David

:05:20. > :05:23.Tennant has been picked as the nations favourite, in a survey by

:05:24. > :05:26.Radio Times to mark 50 years of the programme. My favourite, Matt Smith,

:05:27. > :05:34.came second, and Billie Piper, who played Rose, was voted the best

:05:35. > :05:37.assistant. On our website we've been asking

:05:38. > :05:40.about your favourite Dr Who character. Hundreds of you got in

:05:41. > :05:43.touch. Louie from Chelmsford picked Sarah Jane Smith, saying she is the

:05:44. > :05:47.person who really made Doctor Who interesting. James from Leeds said

:05:48. > :05:50.Jon Pertwee, as he had a really good sense of humour and encountered all

:05:51. > :05:54.the best aliens. And Millie says Matt Smith is the best Doctor ever,

:05:55. > :05:57.and she's sad he's leaving - me too. Well, that's all from the weekend

:05:58. > :06:01.team. Have a lovely afternoon, whatever you're doing. Newsround

:06:02. > :06:03.will be back, bright and early tomorrow morning, with Ricky.
