:00:00. > :00:11.Hi guys - Jenny here with all the stories that matter most to you this

:00:12. > :00:14.Saturday. On the way. We want your questions for the teenager about to

:00:15. > :00:23.become the youngest person ever to reach the South Pole. And... I like

:00:24. > :00:31.this one, I have had it since I was eight. We meet the kids who can't

:00:32. > :00:34.get enough of pigeons. But first to America where there's

:00:35. > :00:37.big worries that one of the worst droughts in California's history

:00:38. > :00:42.could cause more wildfires to spread. Emergency services have been

:00:43. > :00:46.responding to a major blaze near LA. It's believed to have been started

:00:47. > :00:49.on purpose but was made worse because forest areas there are much

:00:50. > :00:54.drier than usual for this time of year. The LA County Fire chief

:00:55. > :01:02.explained the extent of the damage. We have identified that five single

:01:03. > :01:06.family dwellings were destroyed, 17 additional buildings, including

:01:07. > :01:10.outbuildings, Barnes, garages and summer homes, were damaged.

:01:11. > :01:13.Well, this is why the authorities are so worried about more fires

:01:14. > :01:16.spreading. This satellite footage shows the amount of snowfall on

:01:17. > :01:20.nearby mountains last year compared to this year. The one on the right

:01:21. > :01:23.shows far less snow this year and without that melting and running

:01:24. > :01:26.down to soak the land, the dry conditions are much more likely to

:01:27. > :01:29.catch alight. California's governor Jerry Brown is so worried he's

:01:30. > :01:35.declared a state-wide drought and called in extra fire crews to help.

:01:36. > :01:42.We are facing perhaps the worst drought that California has ever

:01:43. > :01:48.seen since records begin, and they have been kept for 100 years. Back

:01:49. > :01:51.home in the UK it's too MUCH water that continues to be the problem in

:01:52. > :01:55.lots of areas with warnings of more floods on the way today. Heavy

:01:56. > :01:58.rain's expected to add to problems in some areas and major roads in

:01:59. > :02:02.Surrey, West Sussex and Kent are already closed. The Met Office - who

:02:03. > :02:06.predict the weather - have issued a yellow flood warning for parts of

:02:07. > :02:09.South-West England and South Wales. In other news a teenager from

:02:10. > :02:13.Bristol is about an hour away from making history! Lewis Clarke is on

:02:14. > :02:16.the brink of becoming the youngest person ever to reach the South Pole.

:02:17. > :02:21.We believe he's close to finishing the final stages of his 7000-mile

:02:22. > :02:24.charity trek through the Antarctic. All being well, the 16-year-old is

:02:25. > :02:29.expected to arrive at the South Pole at around three o'clock. We'll be

:02:30. > :02:33.speaking to Lewis about his achievement. And we want to you to

:02:34. > :02:38.send in your questions for him. Head to the website now to give us your

:02:39. > :02:41.suggestions. And from extreme conditions

:02:42. > :02:45.thousands of miles away, to an extreme sport a little closer to

:02:46. > :02:48.home. Aeroball is the latest craze sweeping schools across the UK. It

:02:49. > :02:51.combines trampolining with basketball and volleyball, and as

:02:52. > :02:59.I've been finding out, anyone can play. If you find it hard to reach

:03:00. > :03:05.the net in PE, then maybe you just need a bit of bounce! It's

:03:06. > :03:09.trampolining and you get to play basketball at the same time. It's

:03:10. > :03:15.fun and it gets you really tired. And it gets you really competitive.

:03:16. > :03:22.Aeroball has become one of the most popular sports for school activity

:03:23. > :03:27.weeks. They are very accessible, you don't have to be a big fan of

:03:28. > :03:33.heights greater football or rugby, everyone can have a. Young or old,

:03:34. > :03:36.it is very easy. The sport was created by a former gymnast in

:03:37. > :03:39.America who wanted to make trampolining safer and more fun. You

:03:40. > :03:43.score points by either getting a ball into your opponent's basket, or

:03:44. > :03:47.onto the bottom of their trampoline before they can stop it. There are

:03:48. > :03:58.several balls on the go - and you can play in doubles - so it involves

:03:59. > :04:05.plenty of tactics. We think our jobs I too low, so we are trying to pull

:04:06. > :04:08.ourselves up. As well as making you think, Aeroball can also help kids

:04:09. > :04:17.improve in other sports such as basketball... It's sort of helps you

:04:18. > :04:25.name for the net. At the junior level, it is hard to teach the

:04:26. > :04:30.skills and it can be demoralising, but here, they can see a result. The

:04:31. > :04:33.results seem to be that Aeroball is helping some of you guys reach new

:04:34. > :04:39.heights when it comes to school sport! Well sticking with sport -

:04:40. > :04:44.the big guns have all been firing at the Australian Open today. Britain's

:04:45. > :04:47.Andy Murray breezed into the fourth round with a straight sets win over

:04:48. > :04:51.Spain's Feliciano Lopez. Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer also won easily.

:04:52. > :04:54.And in the women's draw, Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova are

:04:55. > :04:58.also through. Pigeons can be pests to some people

:04:59. > :05:01.- but for others the birds are a prized pet. Up to 25,000 pigeon

:05:02. > :05:05.fanciers are in Blackpool this weekend showing off their beloved

:05:06. > :05:08.birds at a huge show. Some of these racing pigeons are worth up to

:05:09. > :05:11.?10.000, and they're all hoping to be named top bird of the year.

:05:12. > :05:24.Competitors come from countries as far away as China, and are of all

:05:25. > :05:29.ages. I like this one, I have had it since I was eight. I have loads more

:05:30. > :05:37.down here, so we have a good chance to win. I have had pigeons since I

:05:38. > :05:41.was two years old. I love waking up on race day, when I'm going to a

:05:42. > :05:47.show, waking up and not knowing if you are going to win. I like to

:05:48. > :05:50.CeBIT is my favourite pigeon coming. Finally - to the dogs and their

:05:51. > :05:54.owners who've been making waves in Brazil. This lot are in practice for

:05:55. > :05:57.a special competition in Rio de Janeiro. Pet and human are both

:05:58. > :05:59.supposed to stand up and paddle round a range of obstacles. Looks

:06:00. > :06:00.like some need
