0:00:23 > 0:00:24This is Newsround.

0:00:30 > 0:00:34Here's what happened.
0:00:34 > 0:00:35Let's start with the skeleton.
0:00:35 > 0:00:37Lizzy Yarnold was in second place but this amazing final
0:00:37 > 0:00:40run was pretty perfect and took her straight to the top
0:00:40 > 0:00:41winning her a gold medal.
0:00:41 > 0:00:44Lizzy also won in the last games in 2014 in Sochi.
0:00:44 > 0:00:46That makes her the first British woman to successfully defend
0:00:46 > 0:00:51a Winter Olympic title.
0:00:51 > 0:00:55Lizzy's just amazing under pressure.
0:00:55 > 0:00:58Look what she's done.
0:00:58 > 0:01:03She said she would come and do this for our country and she has.
0:01:03 > 0:01:06Laura Deas was competing in the same event and she got bronze.
0:01:06 > 0:01:34She was delighted because she thought she'd come fourth.
0:01:34 > 0:01:37For the first time ever, Great Britain has two medal winners
0:01:37 > 0:01:39on the same podium at the Winter Games.
0:01:39 > 0:01:40Amazing.
0:01:40 > 0:01:41And one more record for you.
0:01:41 > 0:01:44It was the first time Great Britain won three medals in one day
0:01:44 > 0:01:47because earlier in the day, 19-year-old Izzy Atkin won bronze
0:01:47 > 0:01:52in the ski slopestyle.
0:01:52 > 0:01:58It feels amazing to be an Olympic bronze medallist.
0:01:58 > 0:01:59Well done, guys.
0:01:59 > 0:02:02But it wasn't all good news for Team GB though.
0:02:02 > 0:02:05James Woods missed out on a medal in the Men's Skiing Slopestyle.
0:02:05 > 0:02:07He was in bronze position but ended up finishing 4th.
0:02:07 > 0:02:09He says he's devastated, but also very proud of himself.
0:02:09 > 0:02:12And we told you yesterday about speed skater Elise Christie -
0:02:12 > 0:02:14she crashed in her 1,500 metre semi-final just days
0:02:14 > 0:02:17after crashing in the 500 metres.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20She was taken to hospital and now has her right foot in a special
0:02:20 > 0:02:21boot to help it heal.
0:02:21 > 0:02:24But Elise hopes to make the 1,000 metre heats on Tuesday.
0:02:24 > 0:02:30Fingers crossed, Elise!
0:02:30 > 0:02:32Well, we'd like your congratulations messages for the athletes
0:02:32 > 0:02:34who have won a medal.
0:02:34 > 0:02:37Head to Newsround online where you can tell us what you think
0:02:37 > 0:02:41of their achievements.
0:02:41 > 0:02:44Many people across the UK felt an earthquake, which shuddered
0:02:44 > 0:02:46across England and Wales yesterday.
0:02:46 > 0:02:49It had a magnitude of 4.4, so only a small one.
0:02:49 > 0:02:52Nobody was hurt and there was no damage, but people reported feeling
0:02:52 > 0:02:55movement in places as far apart as London, Cornwall and Cumbria.
0:02:55 > 0:03:03It's thought the centre was close to Swansea.
0:03:04 > 0:03:06Well, we want to know if you felt it.
0:03:06 > 0:03:14Get in touch with Newsround online and let us know what it was like.
0:03:16 > 0:03:18Football, and there was plenty of action on show
0:03:18 > 0:03:19in the FA Cup competition.
0:03:19 > 0:03:21Manchester United made it through to the quarter-finals
0:03:21 > 0:03:22after beating Huddersfield 2-1.
0:03:22 > 0:03:23Romelu Lakaku scored both goals.
0:03:23 > 0:03:25Southampton and Brighton are also through to the quarter-finals
0:03:25 > 0:03:27after wins over West Brom and Coventry, respectively.
0:03:27 > 0:03:30But Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea will need to play again
0:03:30 > 0:03:34after a goalless draw.
0:03:34 > 0:03:37Next, he's known for getting up close with the world's deadliest
0:03:37 > 0:03:40animals, but now Steve Backshall has a new challenge to face and this
0:03:40 > 0:03:41one's the biggest of his life.
0:03:41 > 0:03:44He'll be attempting to climb the north face of Mount Eiger
0:03:44 > 0:03:46in Switzerland, also known as the Wall of Death.
0:03:46 > 0:03:54Hayley went to meet him.
0:03:56 > 0:04:00I can remember the first time that I stood at the base of it and looked
0:04:00 > 0:04:03up at this mile of vertical rock above me and thought,
0:04:03 > 0:04:05how would it feel to be in the middle of that?
0:04:05 > 0:04:06You're absolutely mad!
0:04:06 > 0:04:09Is there any part of you that's scared, petrified,
0:04:09 > 0:04:10not knowing what to do?
0:04:10 > 0:04:13Not now, but there is no doubt that I will be once
0:04:13 > 0:04:16I'm up there because, you know, it's still one of the most
0:04:16 > 0:04:17threatening walls on the planet.
0:04:17 > 0:04:20You have this immense amount of snow and ice and the weather
0:04:20 > 0:04:21is going to be brutal.
0:04:21 > 0:04:27We need it to be at least minus 20 to even start
0:04:27 > 0:04:27thinking about climbing.
0:04:27 > 0:04:29So, yeah, it's a big expedition.
0:04:29 > 0:04:32So what kind of training have you had to do in order to do this?
0:04:32 > 0:04:34So, I've been training for about five months.
0:04:34 > 0:04:37I've been doing a lot of stuff that's been working on building
0:04:37 > 0:04:39up my what's called strength to body weight.
0:04:39 > 0:04:41I've been losing a lot of weight, so I've been
0:04:41 > 0:04:43on a diet for five months.
0:04:43 > 0:04:44Oh, gosh.
0:04:44 > 0:04:45Over Christmas?!
0:04:45 > 0:04:46I know.
0:04:46 > 0:04:49I know, tell me about it, but, you know, I kind of feel ready.
0:04:49 > 0:04:50OK.
0:04:50 > 0:04:53I know that you've dealt with a lot of scary situations,
0:04:53 > 0:04:54a lot of scary animals.
0:04:54 > 0:04:57On a scale of one to ten, how scary is this?
0:04:57 > 0:04:58Probably a ten.
0:04:58 > 0:04:59Oh, my goodness, that is scary.
0:04:59 > 0:05:01Coming from, you that is scary.
0:05:01 > 0:05:02Yeah.
0:05:02 > 0:05:05I mean, if everything goes right, it will be very physically demanding.
0:05:05 > 0:05:07We're going to be exhausted, we're going to have no
0:05:07 > 0:05:10sleep for days on end, but a great experience.
0:05:10 > 0:05:13If everything goes wrong, it's going to be horrific.
0:05:13 > 0:05:15And its 4,000 metres.
0:05:15 > 0:05:21How long is that going to take you?
0:05:21 > 0:05:23We're hoping for three days, that will be the ideal.
0:05:23 > 0:05:26If it takes longer than that, then we're going to run out of food.
0:05:26 > 0:05:29There's only so much we can carry on our backs.
0:05:29 > 0:05:31Well, if anyone can do it, Steve, you can do it.
0:05:31 > 0:05:33You can do this.
0:05:33 > 0:05:34I think you've got it!
0:05:34 > 0:05:36It's nice to have you believe in me.
0:05:36 > 0:05:37Thank you.
0:05:37 > 0:05:39That's what we're doing, and everything's going to be on CBBC.
0:05:39 > 0:05:42You can watch CBBC online to see all of Steve's challenge
0:05:42 > 0:05:44and we will be right behind you, Steve.
0:05:44 > 0:05:47Well, I'm saying right behind you, sort of on a sofa watching.
0:05:47 > 0:05:48On a sofa back here.
0:05:48 > 0:05:49But you know, we're with you.
0:05:49 > 0:05:51But I will feel that support, I'm sure.
