:00:07. > :00:10.Hi, I'm Martin with your news update this Sunday lunchtime. Coming up...

:00:11. > :00:13.Flooding in the Balkans after a month's worth of rain fell in just

:00:14. > :00:15.three days. The ghostly cyclists lighting up the

:00:16. > :00:23.streets in Leeds. And the gorilla sculpture made out

:00:24. > :00:26.of spoons. This is Newsround. But first to the Balkans, in eastern

:00:27. > :00:30.Europe, where they're facing the worst flooding for decades. At least

:00:31. > :00:33.20 people have died after a month's rain fell in just three days. With

:00:34. > :00:36.more rain expected today I've been finding out how people there are

:00:37. > :00:39.coping. Authorities in Serbia say the floods are threatening the

:00:40. > :00:47.country's main power plant, and in Bosnia landslides have buried houses

:00:48. > :00:58.there. A neighbourhood in Serbia under water. Normally at this time

:00:59. > :01:03.of year, the people enjoy hot days. Today, like tens of thousands in

:01:04. > :01:08.Bosnia and Croatia, the people are battling the worst floods for more

:01:09. > :01:14.than a century. Many areas, residents and council workers work

:01:15. > :01:17.against time. They are trying to hold back the flood water. For many,

:01:18. > :01:26.with no electricity or drinking water, the only option is to leave.

:01:27. > :01:33.Boats and helicopters carry people to shelter. The Prime Minister has

:01:34. > :01:41.warned of more rain to come and told people to brace themselves. We can

:01:42. > :01:49.only hope we have done everything we could. Now we can only pray to God.

:01:50. > :01:56.The river has already burst its banks. The floods at affecting

:01:57. > :02:04.Serbia's main power plant. In Bosnia it is a similar story. Hundreds are

:02:05. > :02:11.evacuated in Croatia. More rain is forecast, with water levels expected

:02:12. > :02:14.to reach their highest today. The Serbian government have called for

:02:15. > :02:22.international help and for the people that can't come soon enough.

:02:23. > :02:25.Football now and as we speak, thousands of Happy Arsenal fans are

:02:26. > :02:28.lining the streets of north London to be part of their team's FA Cup

:02:29. > :02:32.victory parade. Yesterday, Arsenal won the FA Cup for the first time in

:02:33. > :02:41.nine years. So, just how much does this mean to the supporters? At was

:02:42. > :02:51.brilliant. It was a fantastic day. Even at 2-nil down, I still

:02:52. > :02:58.believed. Everyone doubted us but we got here in the end. I was here in

:02:59. > :03:01.2005 and to be back again is amazing.

:03:02. > :03:04.Fires that have been burning for five days in America are slowly

:03:05. > :03:07.being brought under control. More than 120,000 people were forced to

:03:08. > :03:10.leave their homes last week as the wildfires spread across parts of

:03:11. > :03:13.California. People are starting to return to their homes after

:03:14. > :03:19.evacuation orders were lifted but many are returning to houses

:03:20. > :03:22.destroyed by the flames. S Houses reduced to ashes, this is

:03:23. > :03:25.the result of wildfires that destroyed thousands of acres of land

:03:26. > :03:29.in southwest California this week. People are slowly returning as the

:03:30. > :03:42.fires are brought under control. For those coming back to their homes

:03:43. > :03:48.it's an emotional time. It was almost TV I'd to be back home. My

:03:49. > :03:56.heart goes out to the people who have lost their homes. This area is

:03:57. > :04:00.known for wildfires but it is not usually so hot this early in the

:04:01. > :04:03.year. Strong winds and unusually high temperatures have been blamed

:04:04. > :04:06.for the fires but some may have been started on purpose. Two teenagers

:04:07. > :04:09.were arrested on suspicion of setting one of the fires and a

:04:10. > :04:13.57-year-old has been charged with arson. A drop in the wind means the

:04:14. > :04:17.fires are finally mostly under control but firefighters say this is

:04:18. > :04:23.just the beginning of a long hot dry wildfire season.

:04:24. > :04:27.Now take a look at this, it's cycling but with a big difference.

:04:28. > :04:30.The riders attached lights to their bikes for the event in Leeds last

:04:31. > :04:42.night. It's called the Ghost Peloton. Dozens of volunteers took

:04:43. > :04:45.part in the display to mark the 50-day countdown to the start of the

:04:46. > :04:47.Tour de France cycle race in Yorkshire.

:04:48. > :04:50.The richest people in Britain have more money that ever before,

:04:51. > :04:54.according to the annual Sunday Times Rich List. It says the richest 1,000

:04:55. > :04:58.people have a combined fortune of almost ?520 billion, an increase of

:04:59. > :05:01.15 per cent in a year. The Queen added ?10 million to her personal

:05:02. > :05:05.fortune this year and is now worth ?330 million. Celebrity chef Jamie

:05:06. > :05:18.Oliver and his wife Jools saw their wealth rise by ?90 million to ?240

:05:19. > :05:29.million. And here read shelter under London is being rented out. -- and

:05:30. > :05:32.her read shelter. Uri Geller is one of the world's

:05:33. > :05:39.most celebrated illusionists, who is probably best known for his ability

:05:40. > :05:42.to bend spoons with his mind. Now he's used his favourite piece of

:05:43. > :05:47.cutlery for another reason. Let's take a look. This is known as the

:05:48. > :05:54.Spoon Gorilla, and it's been made up of 40,000 individual spoons. It was

:05:55. > :05:57.commissioned by Uri Geller to inspire disadvantaged and disabled

:05:58. > :05:59.children. That's all from me, Newsround's back

:06:00. > :06:01.right here just before two.
