:00:08. > :00:10.Good morning, guys - Ricky here with why some big artists could soon be

:00:11. > :00:14.Brazil's young fans treat Leah to some World Cup wathcing -

:00:15. > :00:25.But first - school days need to be longer, according to a group

:00:26. > :00:27.of politicians looking into how to improve standards.

:00:28. > :00:30.A special committee of MPs say the hours need extending

:00:31. > :00:33.to allow kids to do homework before they leave for the day.

:00:34. > :00:35.It's only a recommendation that the government will now look at.

:00:36. > :00:38.The committee was looking into why children from certain

:00:39. > :00:41.backgrounds leave school with worse qualifications than others.

:00:42. > :00:44.You can find out more on our website.

:00:45. > :00:46.Now, Belgium beat Algeria and Russia drew

:00:47. > :00:49.with South Korea last night, but the big focus on day six of the World

:00:50. > :00:55.They took on Mexico in their second group game with the hopes of the

:00:56. > :01:04.And Leah was there to soak it all up.

:01:05. > :01:14.You think we love football in the UK? It is nothing compared to fans

:01:15. > :01:18.in Brazil. On match day the city of Rio changes, businesses close,

:01:19. > :01:26.children leave early from school, it has taken me two hours to get

:01:27. > :01:37.through traffic, but I have front row seats.

:01:38. > :01:43.I have heard these fans are the biggest and loudest Brazilian

:01:44. > :01:50.supporters in town. I think the match will be 2-04 Brazil. I think

:01:51. > :02:00.Brazil is going to score three goals. After beating Croatia in

:02:01. > :02:12.their opening game, Brazil are up against Mexico. The first half is an

:02:13. > :02:18.evenly matched affair. I think the first part of the game was not so

:02:19. > :02:25.exciting. I think in the second-half Brazil will make a goal wind. Brazil

:02:26. > :02:31.half and puffed in second half but not - but could not find their way

:02:32. > :02:35.past the Mexican goalkeeper. A disappointing and frustrating night

:02:36. > :02:37.for these guys but for them there is only one team that will get to the

:02:38. > :02:46.final, and that is Brazil. Brazil! Next,

:02:47. > :02:48.some top singers and bands may have The website is set pounds to launch

:02:49. > :02:53.a new paid-for subscription service later this year

:02:54. > :02:55.which will let you watch music Hundreds of record labels have come

:02:56. > :02:58.to an agreement with the site, but the smaller ones that look

:02:59. > :03:01.after the likes of Adele and Those labels aren't happy with

:03:02. > :03:04.YouTube's terms and say the website isn't giving

:03:05. > :03:07.them a good enough deal. Now, which of the world's problems

:03:08. > :03:10.would you spend ?10 million on? Well, the Longitude prize is a huge

:03:11. > :03:12.science challenge asking just that. Six big topics have been chosen for

:03:13. > :03:16.the public to vote on and this week One of the big challenges is how

:03:17. > :03:22.can we make sure everyone has access to safe and clean water?

:03:23. > :03:39.Here's Martin. There is something like a billion

:03:40. > :03:43.trillion litres of water on Earth but most of it is salty and you

:03:44. > :03:48.can't drink it. With a population of the world growing there is an

:03:49. > :03:52.increased demand for fresh drinking water. Taking sold out of the sea

:03:53. > :03:58.water could be the solution but that is not as easy as it sounds. Even in

:03:59. > :04:03.the UK engineers are turning to sea water to boost supplies. Here,

:04:04. > :04:08.Clearwater 's work its way out from the salty solution through these

:04:09. > :04:13.membranes, but they clog up with dirt from the water very early and

:04:14. > :04:17.getting drinking water this way is 15 times more expensive than regular

:04:18. > :04:26.water. On Gibraltar another method is being used. Inside these tubes

:04:27. > :04:32.are hollow membranes. Water flows on the outside of these tubes and pure

:04:33. > :04:37.water is drawn across. Very little energy is needed but the process

:04:38. > :04:42.needs lots of pressure so it is a bit better than the membrane

:04:43. > :04:47.solution but only just. Getting salt water into fresh water gets chosen

:04:48. > :04:57.as the topic for people to look into, the challenge will be how to

:04:58. > :04:58.do it. You can find out more about that
