0:00:04 > 0:00:06Hi, I'm Ricky, live from the Newsround studio

0:00:06 > 0:00:09with all the news you need to know this Tuesday morning.

0:00:09 > 0:00:10Coming up...

0:00:10 > 0:00:13Prince George gets camera shy.

0:00:13 > 0:00:16A baby elephant takes her first steps.

0:00:16 > 0:00:20And, snail racing with a difference.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31But first, there have been loads of gold medals

0:00:31 > 0:00:33for Britain on day four of the World Para-Athletics

0:00:33 > 0:00:36Championships, which are being held at the London Stadium.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39Hannah Cockroft won the T34 800m.

0:00:39 > 0:00:45That adds to the gold she had already won in the 100m on Friday.

0:00:45 > 0:00:55Also, Sophie Kamlish took home gold when she won the T43/T44 100m.

0:00:56 > 0:00:58I'm kind of still not really believing it, because obviously

0:00:58 > 0:01:01the only other major international medal I've got was a bronze

0:01:01 > 0:01:04in the 200 in 2013, so it's been quite a long time.

0:01:04 > 0:01:07And Olivia Breen won the T38 long jump with a personal best of 4.81m.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10This means that Great Britain are second in the medal table,

0:01:10 > 0:01:15with 20 medals in total, and a very impressive 11 golds.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17Well done, guys!

0:01:18 > 0:01:21Now, could your phone give you head lice?

0:01:21 > 0:01:24Well, some scientists say that if you use a smartphone or a tablet

0:01:24 > 0:01:28you're twice as likely to get head lice than those who don't.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31Huddling together watching videos or taking selfies with friends

0:01:31 > 0:01:34means your heads are touching more often and increases your

0:01:34 > 0:01:37chances of getting them.

0:01:37 > 0:01:43Here's the lowdown on lice.

0:01:43 > 0:01:46This is a head louse, and this is a nit, which is an egg.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49Don't worry, they are nothing to be embarrassed about.

0:01:49 > 0:01:50Ah, that's better.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53I know, your whole body just started to feel a little

0:01:53 > 0:01:54bit itchy, didn't it?

0:01:54 > 0:02:01Many people get head lice or nits.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03They are passed on by head-to-head contact,

0:02:03 > 0:02:04and it's got nothing to do

0:02:04 > 0:02:05with having dirty hair.

0:02:05 > 0:02:06Other lice myths include...

0:02:06 > 0:02:07"Lice can jump."

0:02:07 > 0:02:08That is not true.

0:02:08 > 0:02:12They are not that athletic and the best they can manage is a crawl.

0:02:12 > 0:02:13Look at this guy go!

0:02:13 > 0:02:14"Lice prefer long hair."

0:02:14 > 0:02:15Wrong.

0:02:15 > 0:02:17Lice don't like sunlight so they hide close to the scalp

0:02:17 > 0:02:20and that's the same whether your hair is long or short.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Some people say lice come from animals.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25That isn't true either.

0:02:25 > 0:02:28They only live on humans.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31No one knows where they came from, but they've been around as far

0:02:31 > 0:02:32back as the Egyptians.

0:02:32 > 0:02:36Still feeling a bit itchy?

0:02:39 > 0:02:41Next, to a very shy Prince George.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44He needed some convincing to get off this plane in Poland.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47But he soon started to have fun on the Royal trip with his mum,

0:02:47 > 0:02:52dad and little sister, Charlotte.

0:02:52 > 0:02:54Next to someone else finding their feet in front

0:02:54 > 0:02:55of hundreds of people.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57This Asian elephant calf, born just last week,

0:02:57 > 0:02:59made her first public appearance at a zoo in Texas

0:02:59 > 0:03:01in the United States.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03She's being looked after by her mum.

0:03:03 > 0:03:07Zookeepers have named her Joy.

0:03:07 > 0:03:08Now to some high-flying horses.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11A new style of horse eventing is hoping to bring a little more

0:03:11 > 0:03:13excitement to the sport.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16We went along with a young superfan to see what it's all about.

0:03:26 > 0:03:30Hi, I'm Izzie.

0:03:30 > 0:03:36I love all things riding, and I even enjoy lessons.

0:03:36 > 0:03:38I've been riding since I was about five, but I'm

0:03:38 > 0:03:41here today to find out how the professionals do it.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44This is the Event Rider Masters, a new type of eventing competition,

0:03:44 > 0:03:46and I can't wait to see the riders in action.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48Eventing is also known as horse trials.

0:03:48 > 0:03:51The competition has three different stages - dressage,

0:03:51 > 0:03:56cross country and showjumping.

0:03:56 > 0:04:02One of the riders here today is Gemma Tatterson.

0:04:02 > 0:04:04She's a very experienced competitor, and she was part

0:04:04 > 0:04:07of the British Olympic team at Rio.

0:04:11 > 0:04:16What makes the Event Rider Masters different to other competitions?

0:04:16 > 0:04:20Event Rider Masters is a shortened, more exciting version of eventing.

0:04:20 > 0:04:26So it is actually the top 40 riders in the world come forward

0:04:26 > 0:04:28which makes it very, very competitive and the build up

0:04:28 > 0:04:31towards the end of the competition, really exciting for spectators

0:04:31 > 0:04:33and riders.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37Well done on your lovely showjumping round.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39How are you feeling now you are in seventh, heading

0:04:39 > 0:04:40into the cross-country?

0:04:40 > 0:04:44Yeah, we are really excited.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Primero is a new ride for me, and it is only

0:04:47 > 0:04:49the second time at this level.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52So to jump a really good clear round, to be in the top ten,

0:04:52 > 0:04:53is really exciting.

0:04:53 > 0:04:55I'm going to be giving the cross-country my best shot.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58The overall winner is the rider with the fewest penalties

0:04:58 > 0:04:59after the three stages.

0:04:59 > 0:05:00Congratulations on winning.

0:05:00 > 0:05:02How do you feel to win such a big event?

0:05:02 > 0:05:04Thank you very much, Izzie.

0:05:04 > 0:05:08It's really special.

0:05:08 > 0:05:11It's a really special feeling, because it doesn't happen very often

0:05:11 > 0:05:14and I just get the impression I have succeeded in achieving one

0:05:14 > 0:05:17of my dreams, so I'm over the moon.

0:05:17 > 0:05:19The idea behind the Event Rider Masters is to make traditional

0:05:19 > 0:05:27eventing faster and more exciting.

0:05:27 > 0:05:30I have had a great day, and I hope to be competing

0:05:30 > 0:05:31in it myself one day.

0:05:31 > 0:05:35OK, did you miss one of last weekend's biggest sporting events?

0:05:35 > 0:05:37We're not talking tennis, oh no, it's the World Snail Racing

0:05:37 > 0:05:41Championship in Norfolk.

0:05:41 > 0:05:45All the contestants are nicely decorated.

0:05:45 > 0:05:49Larry the snail beat the likes of U-Slime Bolt and all the other

0:05:49 > 0:05:51slugglish competitors to the finish line by covering the 13-inch course

0:05:51 > 0:05:56in just two minutes and 47 seconds.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58That's all from me, but Newsround's back with Martin at 4:20pm.

0:05:58 > 0:05:59Have a great day.

0:05:59 > 0:06:02Bye bye.

0:06:10 > 0:06:12Roy turns into a mouse in Little Roy next. Oh, Karim, eh?

0:06:12 > 0:06:14Do you remember that time that I turned into a mouse
