:00:00. > :00:09.Hi, guys, Friday afternoon is here at last! I'm Leah, and coming up on

:00:10. > :00:13.Newsround: Firefighters battle to put out wildfires in Australia.

:00:14. > :00:17.The toothy creatures hoping to snap up Olympics tickets in Rio. And the

:00:18. > :00:20.big cats getting their claws into some Hallowe'en treats. This is

:00:21. > :00:30.Newsround. First, think about your

:00:31. > :00:34.grandparents. On the Newsround website, Joshua and Tamzyn say they

:00:35. > :00:39.see theirs twice a week and enjoy spending time with them. But someone

:00:40. > :00:44.calling themselves "R" says I don't really see my grandparents. They say

:00:45. > :00:47.it's a shame as I really love them. We're asking about your grandparents

:00:48. > :00:50.and elderly relatives because there's a warning today that close

:00:51. > :00:51.to one million older people in England are suffering from constant

:00:52. > :00:56.loneliness. England are suffering from constant

:00:57. > :00:58.health in England, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, says we should be

:00:59. > :01:02.ashamed of how Jeremy Hunt, says we should be

:01:03. > :01:06.He thinks many of us are too busy to spend time with older relatives and

:01:07. > :01:08.neighbours. He says we should be more like Asian families, where

:01:09. > :01:11.there's much more respect for elderly people. But Labour, the

:01:12. > :01:13.opposition party, has accused of him trying to blame families for the

:01:14. > :01:19.government's failures. Let's take a look at some figures.

:01:20. > :01:23.In Great Britain, just over half of people over the age of 75 live

:01:24. > :01:26.alone. It's thought around one in ten catch up with family, friends or

:01:27. > :01:30.neighbours less than once a month. And five million older people in

:01:31. > :01:34.England say the television is their main form of company, according to

:01:35. > :01:36.the group Age Concern. Martin's been to a project in Salford that gets

:01:37. > :01:48.elderly people together. My family are very good to me. I

:01:49. > :01:55.watched the news. I'm not really lonely. I got a really posh

:01:56. > :02:03.television. Do you ever feel lonely? Oh, no. Some people are very lonely.

:02:04. > :02:09.I can be, but I keep busy. I've always got plenty of friends around.

:02:10. > :02:17.Never do I feel lonely. I always talk to somebody. Thanks, Martin.

:02:18. > :02:20.Let's hear some more of your comments now, then. All day you ve

:02:21. > :02:37.been leaving them on the Newsround website.

:02:38. > :02:41.Next, firefighters in Australia are battling to put out wildfires

:02:42. > :02:44.burning outside Sydney. These pictures show how, over time, a

:02:45. > :02:49.cloud of smoke covered the whole city. More than 100 homes have been

:02:50. > :02:53.destroyed and one person has died in the series of blazes across the

:02:54. > :02:56.state of New South Wales. Here's Ricky.

:02:57. > :03:01.For the people trying to fires 50 miles outside Sydney,

:03:02. > :03:06.For the people trying to battle is taking its toll. We have

:03:07. > :03:11.the best firefighters in the world. They are second to none.

:03:12. > :03:16.Bush fires are common here, but these are earlier than usual, and

:03:17. > :03:23.what's surprised many is how big they are and how quickly they're

:03:24. > :03:27.spreading. I got the dog, a few little items, and two doors down

:03:28. > :03:33.there was an explosion, maybe a gas cylinder blowing up. I knew then my

:03:34. > :03:36.house was gone. It is all devastating, but we have got it in

:03:37. > :03:42.short, and we are here, that's the main thing. Whole streets have been

:03:43. > :03:45.destroyed in a matter of minutes. A drop in temperature and the wind

:03:46. > :03:49.picking up is making it easier to control the fire at the moment. It

:03:50. > :03:51.won't last forever though, it's expected to get warmer at the

:03:52. > :03:55.weekend, so emergency crews are working against the clock to get the

:03:56. > :03:57.fire under control and to save more homes and possibly lives. Thanks,

:03:58. > :04:02.Ricky. Now to these snappy little creatures

:04:03. > :04:06.who are causing a bit of trouble ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

:04:07. > :04:09.Thousands of these alligator like animals known as Caimans have been

:04:10. > :04:13.taking up residence inside some of the lakes on the Olympic golf

:04:14. > :04:16.course. They're quite a common sight in parts of Brazil but wildlife

:04:17. > :04:18.experts are trying to figure out how best to handle them before the games

:04:19. > :04:23.begin. Finally, it's still two weeks away,

:04:24. > :04:27.but are you desperate for a bit of early Hallowe'en action? Well, these

:04:28. > :04:33.big cats at a sanctuary in America are too. They got to enjoy some

:04:34. > :04:37.special Hallowe'en treats. The tigers, TJ and Bengali, got pumpkins

:04:38. > :04:40.stuffed with chicken. And this gorgeous golden leopard Reno was

:04:41. > :04:45.given a ghost pinata that was hung from a tree in his enclosure. Head

:04:46. > :04:47.to the Newsround website to find out what this noisy little panda cub was

:04:48. > :04:56.making such a fuss about! Very squeaky! Have a great evening.

:04:57. > :05:06.Ricky's here in the morning. Bye!
