:00:00. > :00:15.Hi guys. Live with the Newsround with amazing stuff. On the way:

:00:16. > :00:22.Behind the scenes of Dr Who's 5th anniversary show. The robot that

:00:23. > :00:28.herds cattle. This is Newsround. -- 5th anniversary show.

:00:29. > :00:34.First to Mars. We know it as the Red Planet. Scientists think it could

:00:35. > :00:39.once have been more like earth. In the next couple of hours NASA will

:00:40. > :00:41.launch Maven, with I will try and find out what the planet used to be

:00:42. > :00:53.like and why everything changed. This is what scientists thing Mars

:00:54. > :00:57.could have looked like during the first one billion years of its

:00:58. > :01:04.existence. There are clouds, lakes filled with water and it is believed

:01:05. > :01:08.the planet had a thick protective atmospheric layer. In fact, it all

:01:09. > :01:13.looks a bit like earth. Something happened which changed the planet

:01:14. > :01:20.into the dusty, red one we recognise today. Water was abundant. On early

:01:21. > :01:24.Mars the environment was something capable of supporting water. Today,

:01:25. > :01:29.we see a cold, dry planet which is not able to support water. We want

:01:30. > :01:33.to understand the reason for the change in the climate. So the early

:01:34. > :01:39.atmosphere is thought to be like earth - with a layer of gases

:01:40. > :01:44.helping to keep the temperature at the right level for life. We are

:01:45. > :01:47.protected from radiation, which could damage us. Should we be

:01:48. > :01:51.worried that what happened on Mars could happen here on earth? Mars is

:01:52. > :01:57.much smaller than earth. Earth is big. We have a hot interior which

:01:58. > :02:02.produces a magnet tick shield. I think the fact we are on such a big

:02:03. > :02:07.planet and have a magnetic shield protecting the atmosphere, I think

:02:08. > :02:10.we'll be fine. We will not lose our atmosphere any time soon like Mars

:02:11. > :02:19.did four billion years ago. The probe, called Maven l take ten

:02:20. > :02:23.months to get oh -- Maven will take ten months to get to Mars. It is

:02:24. > :02:27.hoped it will solve the mystery of the Red Planet. Next, aid from the

:02:28. > :02:32.UK has started to radio even the Philippines after the -- started to

:02:33. > :02:36.reach the Philippines after the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan. A

:02:37. > :02:41.plane left the East Midlands airport last night. HMS Daring arrived this

:02:42. > :02:46.weekend, carrying a helicopter to help reach remote areas. Here are

:02:47. > :02:51.some of the pictures it has taken. It is thought around 2.5 million

:02:52. > :02:57.people need food aid. Head online to read our special diary, written by

:02:58. > :03:05.an aid worker in the Philippines. Dr Who's big 5th anniversary -- 5th

:03:06. > :03:10.anniversary show is on the way this weekend -- 50th anniversary show is

:03:11. > :03:16.on the way this weekend. OK, so I have my hands on the recipe for a

:03:17. > :03:22.perfect Dr Who episode. A handful of aliens - the scary, the better. Add

:03:23. > :03:27.in a doctor or two, or even three! Simple!

:03:28. > :03:30.We have been waiting for the 50th anniversary episode for ages.

:03:31. > :03:37.Luckily we got our hands on some footage from behind the scenes. It

:03:38. > :03:40.has been thrilling to make. I think there's something extraordinary

:03:41. > :03:46.about the doctors meeting, which is gra just great fun -- - just great

:03:47. > :03:51.fun to act in. There is a different Tardis, another

:03:52. > :03:58.doctor and all that. It was completely different. Yet weirdly

:03:59. > :04:03.familiar. Lovely to be back! The full details of the plot are

:04:04. > :04:07.still under wraps. Expectations are high.

:04:08. > :04:16.It promises to be an episode which celebrates the show's past as well

:04:17. > :04:24.as looking to the future. Thanks for that. From Dr Who to Dr

:04:25. > :04:31.You. We want your own tributes to Dr Who. Maybe you want to act out your

:04:32. > :04:38.favourite scene. Here is some inspiration from seven-year-old

:04:39. > :04:43.Dylan. Wlaefr your idea, head to the -- whatever your idea, head to the

:04:44. > :04:48.website. We will play the best ones on Friday. Cattle herders could soon

:04:49. > :04:55.be out of a job because Australian scientists have developed a robot to

:04:56. > :05:00.round up cows. It has been a big hit with farmers. It collects

:05:01. > :05:01.information about soil and fencing. That is all from me
