:00:00. > :00:00.Martin here with Wednesday's top stories.

:00:07. > :00:15.I am talking to children here in Paris about the attacks.

:00:16. > :00:28.First to Paris, France's capital city where people

:00:29. > :00:32.there are trying get back to normal after an Islamist extremist group

:00:33. > :00:34.called Islamic State carried out several attacks on Friday, during

:00:35. > :00:49.I love Paris because of its energy and inspiration. There is always

:00:50. > :00:57.something to do. It is a usable city. There is every nationality. It

:00:58. > :01:01.is such a lively city. Five days ago everything they love about Paris was

:01:02. > :01:05.threatened. After the Friday attacks many schools were closed. They are

:01:06. > :01:08.open again now and I am at one school in the city centre to find

:01:09. > :01:14.out how children here are dealing with what happened. I was in my

:01:15. > :01:19.apartment when it happened. I heard noises, I turned on the news to

:01:20. > :01:23.check what was happening. More than 100 people, I think, called all six

:01:24. > :01:27.of us, because all six of us were at home to check things were fine. The

:01:28. > :01:31.first thing I noticed, the streets of Paris were empty. I never see

:01:32. > :01:36.Paris like that. There was militarily everywhere. What is life

:01:37. > :01:41.like back at school? The first thing I said when I came back on Monday, I

:01:42. > :01:45.am glad you say, I am good and happy to see you and it was more heartfelt

:01:46. > :01:48.than I ever said it. I know some people but have lost important

:01:49. > :01:52.people in their lives because of the situation. We tell them that

:01:53. > :01:59.everything is going to be fine, it is going to be OK. The teachers told

:02:00. > :02:04.us to move on and try and... Move on, try to keep going. Although the

:02:05. > :02:08.students are still upset they told me they are positive about the

:02:09. > :02:14.future of the city. I am sure that it is probably going to recover. But

:02:15. > :02:19.it is going to need some time. When that big event happens, after a

:02:20. > :02:25.while, everybody gets better. I think the right thing to do now is

:02:26. > :02:30.keep going. Paris is really strong. No matter what is thrown at the city

:02:31. > :02:33.it will come back and been in more vibrant and as lovely as ever.

:02:34. > :02:37.Thousands of homes have been without power today in the wake of storm

:02:38. > :02:39.Barney, trees were knocked down by 85 mph winds and there's been

:02:40. > :02:44.There is more severe weather to come, warnings have been issued

:02:45. > :02:46.for rain and wind in parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland

:02:47. > :02:56.Barney is the second UK storm strong enough to be named.

:02:57. > :03:03.Take a look at this anti-bullying video made by some school kids

:03:04. > :03:10.I am Holly. I guess I am being bullied. I am being bullied.

:03:11. > :03:12.The film was made by year 7's and 8's

:03:13. > :03:16.They wanted to make people think about what they do

:03:17. > :03:19.and say online and let people who are bullied know they're not alone.

:03:20. > :03:21.You can see the full video on our website.

:03:22. > :03:25.where you get to meet the US President's wife.

:03:26. > :03:28.Well, that's what three lucky girls from London got to do this week.

:03:29. > :03:32.They met Michelle Obama at the White House to learn all

:03:33. > :03:35.about the First Lady's Let Girls Learn initiative, a plan to bring

:03:36. > :03:39.education to 62 million girls in the world who don't go to school because

:03:40. > :03:48.So, what they did they think of Mrs O?

:03:49. > :03:54.She is absolutely down to earth. I did not feel like I was talking to

:03:55. > :03:59.the first lady, it was just like a friend of mine. She was so lovely.

:04:00. > :04:04.We saw a bit of ourselves in her so we could be like her. She was nice

:04:05. > :04:07.in the way that she did not just wants to talk about herself. She

:04:08. > :04:11.wanted to know about what we wanted to know. What we were doing. It was

:04:12. > :04:14.lovely to have that. And we want your questions for Diary

:04:15. > :04:19.Of A Wimpy Kid author, Jeff Kinney. He's joining us later this week,
