:01:12. > :01:14.Here in the UK, we're used to the idea tha t you

:01:15. > :01:20.do difficult or dangerous jobs. But in parts of America some kids are

:01:21. > :01:24.having to work long hours in order to earn money, and it is allowed by

:01:25. > :01:30.the authorities. Ayshah has been looking into the story.

:01:31. > :01:38.Last summer, Brandon and his big brother worked long days picking

:01:39. > :01:44.tobacco, used to make cigarettes. I wake up at four o'clock every

:01:45. > :01:50.morning and was in there by 6:30am. I was not out until about 8:30pm. In

:01:56. > :01:59.only be a part-time job, like a paper round. But there are some

:02:00. > :02:04.parts of the US, like North Carolina, where children as young as

:02:26. > :02:31.skin, too. Most people kept trash bags on them to keep the chemicals

:02:32. > :02:38.of their clothing will stop on the first day it got on my face a lot,

:02:39. > :02:42.and I did not know that until I got home later that day and by base was

:02:43. > :02:47.birdied. I told my mum and she said, it's because the chemicals are on

:02:48. > :02:51.your face. There are no fear that said that if children work then it

:02:52. > :02:55.has to be before or after school but some people think that children

:02:56. > :02:59.should work in the fields because it is part of the tradition of the area

:03:00. > :03:05.and is good for them. As far as being safe, by parents felt safe

:03:06. > :03:07.enough for me to be here. I am an eighth generation farmer, my

:03:08. > :03:10.children are about generation farmers and that is the way they

:03:11. > :03:16.learn their responsibility. At the moment, it doesn't look like there

:03:17. > :03:19.will be a change in the law in North Carolina, which means there is

:03:20. > :03:20.pressure of the companies that make cigarettes to stop kids from working

:03:21. > :03:22.in the fields. Next, if you could solve

:03:23. > :03:24.a scientific problem in Well, a prize worth ?10 million is

:03:25. > :03:30.up for grabs for someone with a big The competition is based

:03:31. > :03:34.on the 1714 Longitude Prize when John Harrison invented

:03:35. > :03:51.a clock that allowed sailors to work If you want to solve a scientific

:03:52. > :03:55.problem, one option is to go to universities and scientists and ask

:03:56. > :03:58.them to solve it, but over the years we have learned that it is often

:03:59. > :04:01.better to open up to anyone to come up with a solution.

:04:02. > :04:04.Sir Bradley Wiggins says he will ride in this year's Tour de France

:04:05. > :04:07.after becoming Britain's first winner of the Tour of California.

:04:29. > :04:42.I think it was just relieved, because I have worked so hard for

:04:43. > :04:47.it. Every final I have missed, it is harder to pick up and say I will get

:04:48. > :04:49.there. Every time of this, they say, is this worth it? But this mean so
