:00:21. > :00:33.And the cheeky ferret who fancied a spa day.
:00:34. > :00:37.In the UK, thousands of airplanes take off and land each day,
:00:38. > :00:39.and they need to be really carefully coordinated to make
:00:40. > :00:45.Now City Airport, in London, is about to make a big change to how
:00:46. > :01:00.London's City Airport. Until now flights going in and out had been
:01:01. > :01:03.monitored in this control tower by a group of controllers. They look out
:01:04. > :01:09.of these windows right onto the runway. But not for much longer!
:01:10. > :01:15.They are about to move home... 120 miles away from the airport, to be
:01:16. > :01:17.exact. Because the control room is going digital!
:01:18. > :01:21.The windows are going to be replaced by high-definition screens and the

:01:48. > :01:51.information in terms of what they can see and hear, and identified
:01:52. > :01:54.targets. The controller's job is to look out the window.
:01:55. > :02:00.It makes that job much easier. But, I know what you are thinking, what
:02:01. > :02:06.if the TV screens go down? This system has been independently stress
:02:07. > :02:10.tested by security specialists, there are three cables in place
:02:11. > :02:13.between the airport and the control centre in Swanwick.
:02:14. > :02:18.If one of them fails, there's another cable there. London city is
:02:19. > :02:23.convinced it will make their airport more efficient and safe. And it
