:01:30. > :01:36.pleasant. Through tomorrow more storms and flash flooding and hail

:01:37. > :01:38.in Scotland in north-west England and Scotland and towards the

:01:39. > :01:40.south-east more sparkling sunshine in hot weather.

:01:41. > :01:43.Next this afternoon, a warship that sank 491 years ago

:01:44. > :01:46.today off the coast of Portsmouth is being shown off to the public

:01:47. > :01:50.The historic Mary Rose was finally unveiled after millions of pounds

:01:51. > :02:05.Back in 1982, this Tudor ship was brought back to the surface

:02:06. > :02:12.She was a warship during the reign of Henry VIII.

:02:13. > :02:14.But no-one's sure why or how the ship sunk

:02:15. > :02:22.Was it human error, strong winds or gunfire from another ship?

:02:23. > :02:26.For more than 30 years, experts have been busy restoring

:02:27. > :02:29.the ship to her natural state and it's been a massive job.

:02:30. > :02:32.Every inch of the Mary Rose has been sprayed with a special solution

:02:33. > :02:34.to preserve it and the ship has been kept

:02:35. > :02:38.in a giant glass hot box to dry it out.

:02:39. > :02:44.The BBC's Duncan Kennedy was given exclusive access to the ship.

:02:45. > :02:47.This is never been seen before, neither on television or online.

:02:48. > :02:51.This is the side of the ship that was buried most deeply

:02:52. > :02:58.All the white you see is the polyethylene glycol,

:02:59. > :03:00.the wax-like chemical that they've been spraying it with

:03:01. > :03:04.Scaffolding has been used to keep it in place

:03:05. > :03:06.and giant pipes of air conditioning manage the temperature

:03:07. > :03:13.From now on, the public will not only be able to get the history

:03:14. > :03:16.and the sense of tragedy of this whole ship,

:03:17. > :03:20.but they can get up close, breathe it, almost touch it,

:03:21. > :03:23.in the way that Henry VIII would have himself.

:03:24. > :03:25.From now on, this really is the final story

:03:26. > :03:32.It's the only 16th-century warship on display in the world,

:03:33. > :03:43.and it will remain here at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.
