:00:00. > :00:09.Hi, I'm Ricky with your Monday evening update.
:00:10. > :00:14.First, should energy drinks be banned from schools? There's a fresh
:00:15. > :00:17.warning about them from a government adviser on school food. John Vincent
:00:18. > :00:22.thinks the mix of sugar and caffeine can damage children's concentration
:00:23. > :00:25.and health. He is calling for more research into the effects of the
:00:26. > :00:27.drinks on kids. All today, you've been telling us what you think about
:00:28. > :00:54.this online. Thanks for those comments.
:00:55. > :00:59.Next to one of the most daring space missions ever attempted, landing on
:01:00. > :01:02.a comet. We've heard in the past hour that a European spacecraft that
:01:03. > :01:09.has been asleep in space for two and a half years has woken up to embark
:01:10. > :01:13.on its daunting task. A comet is a massive lump of ice that is hurtling
:01:14. > :01:18.through space. And scientists are hoping to land on one. That job is
:01:19. > :01:24.down to the Rosetta spacecraft, which was launched back in 2004. It
:01:25. > :01:27.has travelled hundreds of millions of kilometres in our solar system
:01:28. > :01:31.but has been hibernating for the past two and a half years to save
:01:32. > :01:35.energy. This morning, an alarm clock was triggered to wake up Rosetta for
:01:36. > :01:40.the final and riskiest part of its mission. It has to chase after comet
:01:41. > :01:46.67P, a target of just four kilometres across, and then send out
:01:47. > :01:56.a robot to land on its icy surface. It is something that has never been
:01:57. > :02:04.tried before. One question is where the earth god its water from. In the
:02:05. > :02:10.comet we have a fragment of what was created for and a half million years
:02:11. > :02:17.ago. By going there, we can test the idea that maybe comets were a source
:02:18. > :02:21.of water. So now so now Rosetta is awake, it is time to head for its
:02:22. > :02:24.speeding target. But it won't reach the comet till later this year.
:02:25. > :02:27.Next, a strong earthquake has shaken New Zealand's North Island. The
:02:28. > :02:30.quake had a magnitude of 6.3 and struck just after 3pm local time.

:02:42. > :02:46.fell to the ground. There are no reports of major damage or serious
:02:47. > :02:49.injury, though. And as always, there is plenty on
:02:50. > :02:54.the website, including a brilliant gallery of a guy who is best mates
