:00:23. > :00:25.Newsround. First up, people round the world have been marking Easter

:00:26. > :00:31.Sunday today. It's the day Christain's believe Jesus rose after

:00:32. > :00:40.his crucifixion. There's been egg hunting, huge firework displays and

:00:41. > :00:44.special church services. St Peter's Square in Rome - one of the world's

:00:45. > :00:50.largest churches - and one of the most important places for

:00:51. > :00:56.Christians. Pope Francis along with tens of thousands of followers came

:00:57. > :01:00.together for a huge Easter mass. Last night the sky above the

:01:01. > :01:05.northern Greek island was lit up by hundreds of fireworks. Every

:01:06. > :01:09.evening, before Easter, two rival parishes create the handmade rockets

:01:10. > :01:12.- aim them at each other's church towers and the winner is the one

:01:13. > :01:15.which managed the most direct hits! The head of the Church of England,

:01:16. > :01:19.the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, used his second Easter sermon

:01:20. > :01:23.to talk about the suffering people face from fighting around the world.

:01:24. > :01:28.Yesterday afternoon in York, the Archbishop John Sentamu

:01:29. > :01:37.in Syria, mothers cry for their children and husbands. In Ukraine,

:01:38. > :01:47.the future is precarious and dangerous. Yesterday afternoon in

:01:48. > :01:51.York, the Archbishop John Sentamu carried out baptisms for members of

:01:52. > :01:54.the Church of England in a pool outside the York Minster. For

:01:55. > :01:57.others, the wait is finally over for tucking in to some pretty delicious

:01:58. > :02:01.Easter egg treats. And animal lovers in America got the chance to get

:02:02. > :02:10.their pet blessed in a special ceremony in LA.

:02:11. > :02:13.The family that broke down in the middle of a lion enclosure in a

:02:14. > :02:17.safari park have been talking about what happened. They were having a

:02:18. > :02:20.day out a Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire when their car started to

:02:21. > :02:23.catch fire. They sounded their horn and rangers came to their rescue.

:02:24. > :02:27.Other visitors took these pictures from their own cars and none of the

:02:28. > :02:29.lions were hurt. Mum Helen, 12-year-old Charley and

:02:30. > :02:38.nine-year-old George described what happened. We just thought the car

:02:39. > :02:42.had overheated and then we realised it was not steam, and it was smoke,

:02:43. > :02:50.and we realised there was a problem here. The Rangers opened the door

:02:51. > :02:57.and we jumped out and jumped into another vehicle, and let them get on

:02:58. > :03:01.with it. We kind of jumped over it. F1 News now and if you're waiting to

:03:02. > :03:04.tune in to the highlights on BBC One later and don't want to know the
