0:00:04 > 0:00:07Hello, I'm Hayley with your Newsround update this Friday.
0:00:07 > 0:00:10Coming up:
0:00:10 > 0:00:13What you think about the golf club that won't allow women to join.
0:00:13 > 0:00:15Plus:
0:00:15 > 0:00:18The dog making mayhem in our studio.
0:00:28 > 0:00:31First, the search is continuing to find out what happened
0:00:31 > 0:00:34to a plane that went missing early yesterday morning.
0:00:34 > 0:00:39Earlier, search teams found debris floating in the Mediterranean sea.
0:00:39 > 0:00:41Here's the full story.
0:00:41 > 0:00:44The EgyptAir flight was carrying 66 people
0:00:44 > 0:00:47on a journey from Paris in France to Cairo in Egypt
0:00:47 > 0:00:51when the radars that keep track of aircrafts
0:00:51 > 0:00:54as they travel lost touch with it.
0:00:54 > 0:00:56Boats, including a team from the Royal Navy,
0:00:56 > 0:00:59have been looking for any signs of a wreckage
0:00:59 > 0:01:01in the Mediterranean Sea, where the plane went missing.
0:01:01 > 0:01:05Earlier today, debris from the plane was found floating in the sea.
0:01:05 > 0:01:08No-one yet knows exactly what caused the plane to crash
0:01:08 > 0:01:13and security experts say nothing has been ruled out.
0:01:13 > 0:01:16Now it's not impossible that this plane could have been brought down
0:01:16 > 0:01:21by a terrorist putting a bomb on it or having a fight on board,
0:01:21 > 0:01:23but we don't know yet.
0:01:23 > 0:01:28What I would say is that the screening, the checks,
0:01:28 > 0:01:32the safety measures that are put in place in most airports
0:01:32 > 0:01:36around the world are tighter now than they've ever been.
0:01:36 > 0:01:40It's very, very difficult for a bad person to get a bomb
0:01:40 > 0:01:42or a weapon on board a plane.
0:01:42 > 0:01:44And it's been that way now since 2001.
0:01:44 > 0:01:47Millions of flights take place every year and events
0:01:47 > 0:01:49like this are extremely rare.
0:01:49 > 0:01:52The answer to what happened could be found in the black box -
0:01:52 > 0:01:56a special device that records what happens inside a plane.
0:01:56 > 0:01:59Investigations can be very complicated but more information
0:01:59 > 0:02:03is expected to be announced over the next few days.
0:02:03 > 0:02:06Remember, if there's anything in the news that upsets you,
0:02:06 > 0:02:09you can head online and take a look at our special guide
0:02:09 > 0:02:10for advice on what to do.
0:02:10 > 0:02:14And, of course, we'll keep you updated on this story.
0:02:14 > 0:02:16Next, an historic golf club in Scotland has voted
0:02:16 > 0:02:20to keep its rule that women can't become members.
0:02:20 > 0:02:24Female golfers can go to the course at Muirfield but only as visitors,
0:02:24 > 0:02:28but some people think that's unfair and old-fashioned.
0:02:28 > 0:02:31Here's what you guys think.
0:02:31 > 0:02:35I think it is quite rude for girls, and it is like bringing them
0:02:35 > 0:02:38back to Victorian times, where girls had to do all of the tidying,
0:02:38 > 0:02:40they were not allowed to play any games.
0:02:40 > 0:02:41I think it is sexist and disgraceful,
0:02:41 > 0:02:44because women are already overlooked
0:02:44 > 0:02:47and if you tell women they can't play golf -
0:02:47 > 0:02:49or a different sport, for that matter -
0:02:49 > 0:02:51then it could just knock their confidence.
0:02:51 > 0:02:55I think it is good if some clubs are separate, some for boys
0:02:55 > 0:03:01and some for girls, because girls like to talk with each other,
0:03:01 > 0:03:04girls amongst girls, boys amongst boys.
0:03:04 > 0:03:09If the girl wants to be maybe a world-class golf player,
0:03:09 > 0:03:15that would be one of the places where they would go to play golf
0:03:15 > 0:03:18and that means, if they can't do that,
0:03:18 > 0:03:20it is just putting them down.
0:03:20 > 0:03:21It is just...
0:03:21 > 0:03:22It is a passion, really.
0:03:22 > 0:03:24Somebody who can't do that,
0:03:24 > 0:03:26it is just stopping them from their abilities,
0:03:26 > 0:03:27and that might be something they really enjoy,
0:03:27 > 0:03:33so it's just not nice.
0:03:33 > 0:03:38You've been heading online to have your say.
0:03:38 > 0:03:41Hope in Aberfeldy says thinks clubs should let anyone join,
0:03:41 > 0:03:43whatever their gender.
0:03:43 > 0:03:45But Cody in Tamworth disagrees.
0:03:45 > 0:03:47He thinks it's nice to have some places just for men
0:03:47 > 0:03:49and some for women.
0:03:49 > 0:03:52And one member of the year five class at Kingfisher Primary
0:03:52 > 0:03:57thinks it is OK, because some sports suit men and some suit women.
0:03:57 > 0:04:01Thanks to everyone who joined in with the debate.
0:04:01 > 0:04:03Finally, in case you missed it,
0:04:03 > 0:04:04Ricky was joined by a special guest
0:04:04 > 0:04:06in the Newsround studio this morning.
0:04:06 > 0:04:09Arthur, the dog who crossed the Amazon rainforest
0:04:09 > 0:04:11to find himself a new home.
0:04:11 > 0:04:14I think he was quite excited about his appearance on TV.
0:04:14 > 0:04:17Take a look at this.
0:04:17 > 0:04:19See, he's getting a bit cheeky now.
0:04:19 > 0:04:22He's off, he's been having a look around the studio today,
0:04:22 > 0:04:24and he's really interested in the Newsround studio.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29This is your show, this is your moment.
0:04:29 > 0:04:30He's got to behave.
0:04:30 > 0:04:37He's trying to play with the camera.
0:04:37 > 0:04:39He's too cute, he's too cute!
0:04:39 > 0:04:43And now you've got this book, haven't you?
0:04:43 > 0:04:45Oh!
